## ProcessMaker Reviews
  ### 1. Complicated tasks

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh S. | Network Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2019

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

ProcessMaker is a feature-rich, yet over-complicated software. You can automate and setup many tasks for business use, and my favorite feature is that you can sync with Windows Active Directory. Their support team is willing to help sort our problems, though most of the known issues are tracked in the Bug Report.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

ProcessMaker seems to go down every time a new update is released. ProcessMaker support has not done a great job at notifying us of when a new version will release and often the new release includes many bugs.

**Recommendations to others considering ProcessMaker:**

ProcessMaker will allow some heavy customization to meet the needs of your business flow systems. Any form of heavy customization in any software typically comes with a heavy learning curve and need to rely on support. This is very true of Process Maker, so be sure that the software will meet your needs and that you are comfortable either learning how to manage the software yourself or that you are willing to continue to utilize their support team.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We handle our Purchase Order management with ProcessMaker and have been able to organize all of our data. We also use ProcessMaker to manage of our Change of Status forms for hiring/firing/temp employees. It provides many custom options for the flow of that type of system.

  ### 2. simple and easy

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nam Seok. K. | IT General Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

easy desgin BPMN and simple configuration and many technical suport such as sending email, attachment files, etc.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

lots of buggs whenever a new upgrade releases

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To impelment all of our business approval process.

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> Hi Nam, thanks for the feedback. You might appreciate to know that you can easily import CSV files directly into a Collection, and then use data from that Collection to feed your screen dropdowns and such.

  ### 3. Good for the basics

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Celeste M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2023

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

If you have basic processes that don't need too much programming, even non-programmers can develop a process

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

It mostly works with the basics. If you have a big company and your processes depend on many variables it turns complicated to develop a process.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a company with several branches filling a form was complicated and we would waste paper, using ProcessMaker has helped us to reduce the amount of paper used.

**Official Response from Jose Maldonado:**

> Thanks for the feedback. Over the past year we have doubled down on capabilities better suited to more complex scenarios and enterprise requirements, so I'm hopeful big companies will want to take a second look. Robust Ai asset generation, project organization and permissions, enhanced authentication options, process testing, are but a few features introduced in the last couple of months targeted specifically for enterprise use.

  ### 4. Frustrating

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2021

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

It's a very versatile solution with significant integration power.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

The service it provide for the implementation of customized solutions.

**Recommendations to others considering ProcessMaker:**

None

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company has many manual processes, for this reason we turned to ProcessMaker to help us with it, however, we have not received the support committed in its comercial offer.

  ### 5. ProcessMaker Workflow Missing Features

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wanda M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2020

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

I like the fact that ProcessMaker assigns a PR Case # and documents came be uploaded in the Purchase Requisition.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

New version does not allow copy and paste info into our PO system. Purchase Requisition has locked fields and now processing a PO requires manual input creating more room for error. Item Description is cut off and not able to see full text in the field. Also, approvals require date that the approval was done. If the Purchase Requisition is a Mod, then there needs to be a pull-down to input the PO # that is being changed. Due date for processing should be 10 working days for a Mod and 15 working days for a new PO.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Processing Purchase Orders (PO) and benefits are that the line items now reflect a total.

  ### 6. A little mora than a year experience with ProcessMaker

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2019

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

What I like best about ProcessMaker is that the interface is really smooth with simple structures, every simple process runs perfectly. The dynaforms are amazing, I like how you can adecuate it with JavaScript and also the actions by emails.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

I dislike that with more complex processes its easier that it malfunctions, it's really frustrating that sometimes ProcessMaker gets confused and assignes notificatons as self services tasks and something that should be well programmed from the back is not and when you report it in a ticket, they take forever to solve it because they label that kind of error as a bug. They are also errors with the start event timers, the ones that are monthly specifically and sometimes when there is a new versión, some processes start to fail and not even ProcessMaker detect the root of the problem.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a lot of processes, most of them involve more tan three areas. We have processes of Promotions, Communications, Terms & Conditions, Reports to Partners, Contracts, Confidential Information to third parties, etc. What i consider has been the most significant Benefit is the tracking of cases and not using as much paper as we did before workflows.

  ### 7. Needs improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vimal T. | Senior Change Management Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2019

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

Manual Workflow was time consuming and to get all Approvals and consolidate those was itself a big task.
But after Processmaker the Workflow took very less time as users in different part of the globe who needs to Approve was able to do it easily and Processmaker seemlessly captured all Approvals in one single page

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

Processmaker takes too long to Load.
Parallel Approval creates problem
Auto Posting Functionality sometimes did not work properly..

**Recommendations to others considering ProcessMaker:**

There maybe process that may require Multiple Approvals or Parallel Approvals in those cases the Alert email we set maybe triggered due Auto Posting issues and Multiple Records maybe created for a single Case

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Manual process which consumed time and affected production has now been reduced greatly after Automating the process through processMaker

  ### 8. Processmaker is a powerful and complex software.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh S. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2019

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

The best thing I like about Processmaker is that it is a highly customizable tool. We spent a lot of time in contact with their support team in order to use the software as we needed.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

Being a powerful software, Processmaker is very complicated. One of our techs needed to learn a new programming language in order to use the software, and often times when we run into a problem - he is able to show the techs what code will fix the issue.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using ProcessMaker in order to process purchase orders and change of status forms. Having a software - with limits - has helped us create a better process for these tasks.

  ### 9. Friendly, but with many errors

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel M. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2019

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

it is a user-friendly and easy-to-use platform. Reviewing the traceability of the processes is very good.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

the process frequently gets damaged every time an update of the process maker version is done. The KPIs do not work properly. In the standard license, the support times are very long and the dates assigned to the cases are not the real ones.

**Recommendations to others considering ProcessMaker:**

Understand very clearly what the tool is required for since it is not suitable for any process when you are on the standard license.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is the main tool of the business, so its reliability is important. We have managed to organize the process and optimize transaction times.

  ### 10. My experience with ProcessMaker

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

This software sometimes lags and crashes down and sometimes run slowly...rest everything is alright and it is convenient to use.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

advantage of a fully supported, high quality BPMS suite that can integrate with an unlimited number of applications ranging from ERP, CRM, and HR management software to your existing document management process software

  ### 11. Fast And Reliable

  ### 12. HTTPS problems

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olivier L. | Developper, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2019

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

The speed to create processes and dynaform. Easy to create plugin and add features. User gestion. We don't have to take time to setup autorisations.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

The text editor (on trigger or on javascript editor). Hard to debug. Error message are not enouth to solve problems. The PHP version is old. Dynaform are easy to create but it's hard to have custom interface. When we use the cloud version, we don't have access of data. So we have create our process to write sql request.

**Recommendations to others considering ProcessMaker:**

Take time to define the BPMN of the process

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use processmaker to create insurances offers.

  ### 14. too early to tell

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2019

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

Ease of use so far but we are still in the implementation process and we have not gone deep enough to provide insightful feedback

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

It seems that we are having issues with our F5 and maybe this should be part of the scope of the project.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ideally, we need a workflow application that will be implemented as an Enterprise application.

  ### 15. Useful but buggy in advanced features

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2018

**What do you like best about ProcessMaker?**

The workflow logic is quite powerful and there's a lot you can customize.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

Many features such as the mobile app, taking action by clicking a link in an email, and even basic case flow have significant bugs. I have 8 confirmed bug tickets open with ProcessMaker all of which are over 7 months old. ProcessMaker can also be very slow in places. Submitting a form usually takes 30 seconds and doesn't show any loading icon, which confuses users.

**Recommendations to others considering ProcessMaker:**

Be prepared for doing a lot of the work yourself and discovering a lot of bugs. This is mainly if you want to use anything beyond the most basic features.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We automate business processes such as purchase orders and HR hiring processes with ProcessMaker. We upgraded from a paper system and it's definitely faster than that.

The flexibility to generate a visual interface and workflows, also the user administration is very easy and visual. The easy workflows can be created in a GUI.

**What do you dislike about ProcessMaker?**

The integration with SAP and Active Directory is not easy using a middleware, it requires to much development.

**Recommendations to others considering ProcessMaker:**

Clarify your real needs.

**What problems is ProcessMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Authorization workflows and Single Sign On with Active Directory.
