BPMS generally supports activities ranging from business rule management to user communication to analytics. ProcessMaker is a very powerful workflow management tool. Easy to create even complex sequences very quickly. What do you dislike about ProcessMaker? I think there is a weak point in the reporting presentation, I would like to be able to obtain sufficient reports on the processes. Before finding ProcessMaker, our daily operational processes, such as expense claims, application abandonment, and staff reviews, were carried out almost manually with MS Excel as the only tool. After the company acquired this software, we found a tool that facilitates many processes for us. Additionally, it is fully open source, with sufficient instruction and self-guided support. For growing the workflows, it does not need development tools. It's incorporated UI and workflow variants designer, which can be useful for non-programmers to construct their workflows easily. Database connectors and APIs are offered for integration with other IT systems. Custom made features/functions are simple to execute since it follows the plugin structure. We've been working to tackle this matter. Very useful tool to follow processes in a company with already defined standards, in our case it was used to follow purchasing processes, very easy to create requirements and follow flow of approvals, approvals are defined by users and with a mail alert system so as not to lose track. It is easy to be connected if the service is hosted in the cloud can be accessed from anywhere and from any mobile device. The tool is very customizable according to the need of the process. It's the most flexible one I have ever used. It is built for enterprises, AD integration is a breeze. There are so many assignment rules to suit your needs. Triggers can be placed any time during the workflow: before/after form loads Before assignment Before/after routing Notification settings are also aplenty As am enterprise user, there are also no email action available for users to approve or reject using emails. The best part about using Processmaker is the intuitive user interface which not only looks great but is easy to use. There is also a lot of great documentation online which helps whenever you run into difficulties. The support team are very good and not only do they respond quickly when a problem is logged, but they keep in touch until the issue is fully resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about ProcessMaker? Testing processes is very difficult in Processmaker. While dynaforms have the view function which is useful for testing javaScript, their is no easy way to test and debug php triggers. The only way to test them is to actually start the process and see if the triggers work, which is time consuming. Errormessages also leave a lot to be desired, as the "whoops, looks like something went wrong" provides no useful feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Currently, the company is using processmaker to get rid of paperwork involved in business admin processes, and speed up the flow of a process from one user to another, while making it easy for users to operate the programme. We are also trying to ensure that best practices are followed throughout the company, and processmaker helps us as it makes it easy to track cases from start to finish, and allows us to see which users did what very easily.
