Provides a means of rapidly mapping data per department and immediately generates a diagramatic view of the mapped data and collection sources.

What do you like best about PrivIQ Data Privacy Management?

PrivIQ is an elegant, easy-to-use and robust solution that is well-suited to support organizations in the complex and ever-evolving US data privacy landscape. We needed a platform that could easily tailor and extend to include compliance requirements from various US States, US Federal Laws and regulations and accommodate information security frameworks as well.

PrivIQ packs tremendous value into its platform: automating every key component of privacy management, offering ease of use through step-by-step wizards and providing flexibility of custom content such as data mapping, policies, required training, acknowledgments and third-party contracts.

We got up and running in a couple of hours and I've been able to win new business because we were able to show our data privacy practices and evidence of compliance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PrivIQ Data Privacy Management?

There are no downsides to the platform as it covers the essential functions of privacy compliance and management. Going forward, I'd like to see more functionality in risk management reporting and perhaps integration with related platforms and tools, e.g. contract management. What problems is PrivIQ Data Privacy Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

Fundamentally, we strive to build and deepen trust with our customers in everything we do. Having comprehensive data privacy and protection is an essential part of earning and keeping that trust. I wanted one integrated platform that we could get up and running quickly, would save time and be easy to maintain. Though many other platforms may be robust, they are often much more complicated (I've worked with several) and take substantial resources to configure and maintain.

We need several key things in data privacy to fulfill our mission:

- an affordable way to inventory the personal data we collect and process that got us away from cumbersome spreadsheets

- up-to-date privacy notices - for the public, customers and our employees/contractors

- a way to manage our policies and procedures

- a guided process for privacy impact assessments

- a way to benchmark and track our compliance in different dimensions

- a place to store our third-party due diligence and contracts

- processes for fulfilling data subject access requests and data incidents if and when they occur.

PrivIQ is an excellent value that is unmatched in the current privacy software marketplace. Overly complex and overpriced tools prevent companies from advancing their compliance programs. PrivIQ is an excellent antidote. It's very easy to set up and start using right away without a lot of ongoing support. It's technology that actually makes things easier. What do you dislike about PrivIQ Data Privacy Management?

PrivIQ does not conduct data discovery or plug into robust ERP software, which makes it more of a siloed solution. But that's also how it stays simple and nimble and more fit for purpose. The truth is that most privacy organizations can benefit from dedicated tools for their work, which PrivIQ provides solidly. The missing bells and whistles are part of the value proposition for a simple tool that you can get up and running quickly and without a lot of cross-functional buy-in. PrivIQ is loyal to the regulations it supports in a very unfussy way. You can take your spreadsheets and move them to PrivIQ's more dynamic platform to support privacy workflows across data mapping, third party management, impact assessments, DSARs and privacy incidents.
