4. Slice variations for flexibility.

5. Data migration support.

6. SliceMachine makes adding page slices and custom types seamless for developers.

8. Customer support is good and helpful. I have raised my queries on the open platform and team answered them all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prismic?

1. Keyboard shortcuts in Prismic Cloud Repo would enhance productivity.

2. A "Select All" option for media images and documents is much needed. Currently, selecting and managing documents one by one is time-consuming and not user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prismic helps us keep data in the CMS, enabling our team to make changes within seconds without requiring a release. This is particularly beneficial as our product needs to comply with strict security standards, and the traditional release process is time-consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Prismic?

What I like about Prismic.io is its slice-based architecture, which provides incredible flexibility for creating reusable and customizable content components.

The user-friendly interface is another standout feature as non-technical users can easily manage and update content without needing developer assistance.

Prismic's Preview feature is also great, allowing content creators to see changes in real-time before publishing. Additionally, their content scheduling feature is invaluable for planning and managing updates.

Lastly, the documentation and community support are excellent, making it easy to get started and troubleshoot any issues along the way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prismic?

The initial setup with Prismic.io can be a little challenging for beginners, but with the good documentation and available videos, it’s actually not bad. However, I do miss dedicated documentation for setting up Prismic with Astro, which will hopefully be added in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm building websites primarily for clients who want to take control of creating and updating their own content. Prismic allows me to provide them with the necessary building blocks, giving them the freedom to generate content without compromising the design of the website. This way, they can easily manage their site while I ensure the layout remains consistent and professional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Prismic?

What we like best about Prismic is how robust it is. Even after years of use and with some outdated, even deprecated dependencies, sites still run mostly smooth and meets majority of needs. It’s reliable, solid, and has definitely stood the test of time. Content management by non-techies is a breeze and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prismic?

The legacy Slice Builder we used to build our site has been replaced with the Slice Machine, which has limited our ability to create new slices (pre-designed, reusable content sections) and caused issues with some existing ones. Additionally, while content management is straightforward, administering and maintaining a Prismic site requires more technical expertise compared to some other CMS options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prismic makes it easy to manage and update content with reusable sections, saving us time and keeping our site looking consistent. Its reliability has been a huge benefit, helping our site stay functional and professional for years without major issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Prismic?

From a marketing aspect, Prismic makes it quick and easy to update website copy and content without heavy developer time. Once the site is setup and published by a developer, I am able to create new landing pages, blog posts, update site copy based on product launches, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prismic?

The slice machine is super helpful to create content in blocks and rearrange, but I still do have to rely on a developer to create any new slices needed for pages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prisimic helps more teams be able to move fast without being blocked and needing to communicate changes to developers. As a marketing org leader, I can plan out changes needed to our site quickly, create landing pages, upload images, you name it. Most recently, we transferred our entire blog over to Prismic after our site was up and running. It made a HUGE impact from the time suck that Wordpress is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Prismic?

The interface is very intuitive and makes organizing content easy. The slice system is excellent for customizing reusable components, and the integration with modern technologies like React is well-documented. Additionally, the free plan is very generous and offers a lot of features, making the tool accessible for various types of projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prismic?

The lack of functionality to mark fields or slices as mandatory in a Page Type or Custom Type. This limitation can make it challenging to ensure the quality of content created by editors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prismic is helping me create dynamic articles for a blog in a simple and intuitive way, even for team members who are not developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Prismic?

I love the fact that I can see content previews. I love the fact that I now can copy and paste slices as well. It is very minimal, making it very good for end user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prismic?

I used to dislike it's slow loading times but it has been improved. Now I just dislike the fact that it has no dark mode. Another noteable dislike for me would be is I when link the content, I want it to be prefilled and I get the fields instead of just record reference. It causes me to fetch the record seprately and if I have series of those at multiple places it can get tiresome at scaleability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prismic is helping me with writing websites with good UX and DX, how can it help with developer experience? When I write static websites with content and clients ask me to edit it, I can just change it with clicks whereas before I would have needed to change the code files. I know other CMS can do same but tbh they are either way too complex for clients or they are very shitty. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Prismic?

Prismic does a fantastic job of allowing anyone to create data silos for different types of data (such as a website page or a blog item) and deliver it via a API. We've even used Prismic for even grandular uses such as drop-down menu items and selection boxes, all of which have worked really well.

We now use Primic to power all of our data that needs to be managed externally or within our own teams and we've had no complains about the Prismic as a tool for non-techy people to use.

We use Prismic several times a day, and the API is hit thousands of times a day and we've never had an issue with the service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prismic?

The API and available SDKs require a bit of a learning curve to use, especially the change control side of things, but it really is a small learning curve. If you're a competent developer or have a good development team, you can easily write reusable code around the learning curves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?

There's a real need for content managed data to be stored and managed by a service that is good at doing just that. Prismic does that and does it well. When developing a product, storing editable / changing content is a real chore to develop and manage - and it costs a lot in development time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Prismic?

The flexiblity in the setup. You can easily create the workflow you want in you CMS. Customer Support is top notch, we had a question and they really help you to reach your goal. Our first integration was very easy to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prismic?

Do not dislike, but like to be a bit more improved - the realtime editor. I really like to see better what I changed, how my website looks (with 3 viewports editors) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's a CMS where all my content related stuff is stored. Our headless frontend does a call to Prismic and we give our customer (we are an agendy) a lot off flexibility with Prismic Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Prismic?

I appreciate how easy it is to set up and manage projects using Prismic.io. The intuitive user interface makes content modeling and updates easy, which saves a lot of development time. I also love its flexibility with modern libraries like Next.js, Nuxt, and my favorite, SvelteKit. It seamlessly integrates with these frameworks, allowing me to build dynamic, fast, and scalable websites and web applications while maintaining a smooth workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prismic?

While Prismic.io offers great flexibility, it can be challenging for new users to understand its custom types and slices. The content relationship feature could be more intuitive, particularly when working with larger datasets. Despite these challenges, the benefits of using Prismic.io outweigh these drawbacks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prismic.io has solved the problem of managing dynamic content in modern web development. Through sepearting content from the code, it has allowed my work as a developer to be independent from the work of colleague content creators, simplifying collaboration across teams, helping me focus more on the development side without worrying about content management. This benefits me by streamlining the workflow, making it easy to update content without needing to redeploy the site. Its flexibility with modern frameworks like SvelteKit and Next.js means I can build fast and scalable websites, while Prismic handles the content structure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Prismic?

Features: Prismic comes with all the bells and whistles anyone would ever need to build a fully fledged website.

Their CDNs are excellent, images are best served with the combination of Prismic and their React Components.

Their help docs make it super easy to implement - I'm no master of code and yet I've been able to build multiple websites with 500+ pages in each without a sweat.

Prismic also takes note of what to improve. Their CMS home page was extremely slow before - but now they've made drastic improvements and made it a breeze to use it daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prismic?

Categorization of CMS documents could improve. Perhaps folders? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?

CMS for my website.

CDN for content delivery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
