Printful's print quality has generally been good, and the integration with WooCommerce is straightforward but klunky. Their platform is relatively easy to use, and for normal orders the automation works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Printful? My concern isn't with the products—it's with what happens when something goes wrong. One of my customer's orders was placed on July 21 but, due to what appears to have been a Printful system issue, wasn't actually submitted into production until July 30. During that time, newer orders were fulfilled before this one. When I contacted support, I wasn't asking for something unreasonable. I suggested several simple, inexpensive solutions that would have helped preserve my relationship with my customer: Prioritize the delayed order. Include two complimentary stickers matching the design. Upgrade shipping because of the delay. Provide a meaningful goodwill gesture. Every solution was declined. Instead, support repeatedly offered to refund the order—which would have forced me to start the entire fulfillment process over again and delay my customer even further. Later I was offered express shipping, but only if I paid for it myself. What frustrated me most was that no one appeared to have the authority to actually solve the problem. Every response quoted policy rather than focusing on the customer. There was no supervisor available by phone or live chat, only a promise of an email at some later time. Problems happen. I understand that. What matters is how a company responds when they do. In this case, I felt abandoned to deal with an unhappy customer on my own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Printful solving and how is that benefiting you? Printful makes it easy to offer professionally printed merchandise without carrying inventory. It has allowed me to expand my business into branded apparel without purchasing equipment or managing fulfillment. The platform itself works well when everything goes according to plan. The weakness is that when an order falls outside the normal workflow, customer support doesn't appear to have enough flexibility or authority to resolve the situation in a way that protects the merchant's relationship with their customer. What really sold me on Printful was the ease of getting started. I'm not especially technical and I had our store connected and ready to take orders within an hour. The product catalog is huge too, way bigger than I expected. We started with just t-shirts and now we're selling mugs, totes, and phone cases through the same system. The quality across different products has been consistent, which I didn't think would be the case given they print everything on demand. Their European production facility has been a lifesaver for our UK orders, cutting delivery times significantly compared to shipping from the US. The branding options are nice too, being able to add our own labels and packaging inserts makes it feel like we actually manufactured the products ourselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Printful? The biggest frustration for me has been the shipping speeds on some orders. Most arrive on time, but occasionally a package will take longer than the estimated window and customers start emailing asking where their stuff is. That creates extra work for us. Also, I think their pricing could be more competitive on certain items. When you factor in the base cost plus shipping, the margins on some products are pretty tight. We're a small team and we don't have the resources to manage production, inventory, and shipping ourselves. With Printful, all of that is handled for us. When a customer places an order, we don't have to do anything. It automatically goes to Printful, they print it, package it, and send it out. This means we can run the business from anywhere with just a laptop. We've been able to scale from a side project to something that actually generates meaningful revenue without needing to hire anyone or rent space. The biggest thing that stands out to me about Printful is how they've built a system that actually lets you test products without betting the farm. I've been using them for a little over a year now, and the peace of mind that comes with not having to order hundreds of units upfront is hard to overstate. The integration with Shopify was smoother than I expected, and we had products listed within a couple hours. Their quality control has been reliable too, which I was honestly nervous about given they're handling everything remotely. The reliability is what stands out most to me. It connects smoothly with the tools I was already using, which made the transition painless. I also appreciate that they handle quality control and packaging, so I don't have to worry about whether things are being done properly on their end.
