We have some unique features to our business model that just couldn't be accounted for in most off the shelf pricing tools. Pricefx has allowed us to implement industry best practices, while still meeting the needs of our business. **What do you dislike about Pricefx?** There's really not much that I dislike about Pricefx. So far, the product has been able to accommodate most of our needs. If I had to pick one thing, it would be around the area of audit compliance. We often need to get our developers involved to provide the level of reporting that's required by our internal and external audit teams. Milliken has benefited from deploying the Accelerators where they were available; we only wish there were more. Our Customer Success Manager has brought in the right people at the right time to help us with integration and user adoption. Linda's support has changed the trajectory of our program. We're also working with her and Hartwig on a value story to satisfy the initial business case and to support continued investment. So far, we've implemented Insights, Price Setting, and Quoting for a single business unit. Our users are in the system daily, and there's no going back to emails, spreadsheets, and backs of napkins. **What do you dislike about Pricefx?** As a platform, there are many ways to accomplish the same goal. As Pricefx matures, I expect more direction around the best ways to accomplish specific use cases and more Accelerators. The partner ecosystem is also a bit difficult to navigate; the right partner and Pricefx supporting team make all the difference. We haven't used any of the more sophisticated integrations, so integration has still been a big piece of work despite being an SAP house. **What problems is Pricefx solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prior to Pricefx, we had no consistent business process or pricing roles and responsibilities. Our pricing strategies and customer-specific prices lived in a multitude of spreadsheets and emails, if they were documented at all. The tool has a reasonable performance. The Price FX team has usually business oriented mindset of the (including configuration engineers, architects and project managers). Everything is at quite a reasonable cost of design and implementation. Possibility to start as a stand alone solution - as a pilot, which already can deliver a lot of value. It helps to think about pricing processes that the company would like to implement, prepare some kind of draft of them and check how they work out in reality, without major risk or expenditures. **What do you dislike about Pricefx?** Many logics and functionalities are required to be designed from scratch and there are not too many of them being predefined. It is partly due to a large variety of applications in different companies, industry specific processes, but also (relatively low) maturity of the whole CPQ market. I would recommend to use external help (consulting company) to design the best use cases of the tool and draw a very general architecture together with IT team. **Recommendations to others considering Pricefx:** This is a CPQ tool that is worth considering at any pricing maturity stage. It helps to design and implement new pricing processes, implement alternative price models, pricing governance. It can give a great feedback about your pricing power and performance to the top management. Definitely the journey should start from the strong executive support from the top management, but that's a different story. The external help (another 3rd party vendor) in designing the new processes would be recommended. **What problems is Pricefx solving and how is that benefiting you?** Measurement of pricing KPIs, global transparence. Logics and suggestions of improved pricing performance in line with the corporate strategy. Improved sales bridge structure and return on sales (profit and loss contribution). ### 50.
