Prepr CMS: The headless CMS for lead-gen and commerce. Prepr CMS is a headless content management system for teams that need their website to capture and convert leads, not just publish pages. It combines structured content with built-in personalization and A/B testing, so marketers can ship changes fast and see what works. Most teams run into the same problems: - Websites show the same content to everyone and underperform. - Simple changes require developer time and slow release cycles. - Web and CRM data live in different systems, making personalization hard. Prepr CMS solves these by connecting content, data, and delivery in one place: - Personalization built in — tailor content by behavior, campaign source, or segment. - Visual editing — build and adjust pages without developer handoffs. - A/B testing — validate headlines, layouts, and offers with clear results. - Integrated data layer — track content performance and tie it to leads and pipeline. - Default CRM integrations — use CRM fields for targeting, send buying signals back. Prepr CMS is designed for marketing and growth teams, content editors, and developers at B2B companies and digital organizations that run lead-gen campaigns. The platform supports multi-channel delivery (websites, apps, and other touchpoints) and scales with traffic and content volume. Primary use cases: - Improve conversion rates — test key pages and personalize for different visitor groups and audiences. - Generate better leads — capture behavior signals and sync qualified interest to the CRM. - Personalize buyer journeys — continue campaign context beyond the landing page. - Future-proof the marketing stack — flexible and scalable headless content model with clean APIs. - Manage multiple brands — share schemas and components for easy development and consistency while keeping access controlled. What this looks like in practice: - Personalization: Launch a campaign page, then tailor follow-up pages by source (e.g., LinkedIn vs. search), visitor behavior, firmographics, or buying stage. - A/B testing: Test and optimize messaging by adjusting proof points, offers, or CTAs for different audience segments. - Buying signals: Send events like "viewed pricing," "downloaded guide," or "visited integration page" directly to your CRM. - Zero code website updates: Let marketers ship copy and layout changes in minutes, without developer support. Prepr CMS provides the structure developers want and the control marketers need. The result is a site that adapts to visitors, learns from every interaction, and turns more traffic into qualified demand—without stitching together multiple tools.

"Prepr is easy to use and has all of the functionality we need"

5/5

What do you like best about Prepr CMS?

I’ve been using Prepr CMS for a while now, and overall it’s been really easy to work with. It didn’t take long to get comfortable with it, and I haven’t had to deal with the kind of frustrating issues that slow you down or break your flow. It mostly just does what I need it to do.

What I like is that there are quite a few features available, but it doesn’t feel overly complicated. It’s flexible enough for more complex setups, while still staying simple for day-to-day use. It’s also been fast and stable so far, without any strange bugs or noticeable slowdowns.

The documentation has been helpful too. I’ve looked things up a few times, and the examples were actually useful, which isn’t always the case with other CMS platforms I’ve worked with.

The API is clear and well documented. It was straightforward to connect it to what I was building, and the code examples helped me get started quickly.

Support has also been good. Whenever I had a question, I got a quick and useful answer.

All in all, I’ve had a good experience with Prepr. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?

While it's mostly a matter of taste, I think the UI is a bit too big in general. Perhaps some more options to customize the look and feel would be nice in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Making websites quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Personalization and A/B Testing with an Intuitive UX"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Prepr CMS?

What I like best about Prepr CMS is how easy it is to configure audience segments and use them directly for personalization and A/B testing. The platform makes these advanced features feel accessible, without requiring too much technical setup or complexity.

I also really like the overall UX and general ease of use. The interface is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate, which makes day-to-day content management straightforward and efficient.

Onboarding was smooth as well, with helpful guidance from the support team. The built-in integrations are another strong point, making it easier to connect Prepr with the rest of our stack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?

What I dislike most about Prepr CMS is that the range of built-in integrations could be broader. While the existing integrations are useful, having more options available out of the box would make it easier to connect Prepr with different tools and workflows.

Another area for improvement is stability. In some cases, the platform does not always work as smoothly or reliably as expected, which can occasionally interrupt the content management process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prepr CMS helps us manage and distribute content across different platforms in a more structured and efficient way. It makes it easier to keep content centralized while still being able to publish and reuse it across multiple channels.

It also supports A/B testing and personalization, which helps us optimize content based on user behavior and improve the overall digital experience.

Another benefit is the use of AI translations and content optimization features. These help speed up content creation, improve consistency, and reduce the manual effort needed to manage multilingual and optimized content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Headless, API-First CMS That Makes Personalization and Scalability Easy"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Prepr CMS?

What i like the most about Prepr CMS is that it is headless, API-first approach and has a strong focus on personalization. It's easy to build scalable and future-proof projects for our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?

A nice-to-have feature would be the ability to create reusable schemas or groups where related fields can be organized inside collapsible accordion sections. This would make complex content models easier to manage and improve the editing experience by keeping forms more structured and less overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prepr CMS helps solve the challenge of managing structured content across multiple channels while keeping content creation simple for editors. Its headless architecture allows us as developers to build with the technologies they prefer, while content teams can work independently without relying on developers for every update. For me, this means faster development, more flexibility when integrating with other systems, and a smoother collaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clean UX-friendlly intuitive tool for Content Editors with good AI features"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Prepr CMS?

Clean, UX-friendly canvas. The option to add filters—shared or private—makes it easy to find content items. Overall, the filtering is solid and works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?

The quality of the AI translations is not that good, I wouldn't rely on it for longer texts to translate. It is very good to translate shorter terms like dictionary labels etc but not long texts, especially for French translations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

I haven’t had any real problems, but I did join a webinar about AI and later had a video call with one of your team members to get a few questions answered. I’m responsible for QA and content, and I also train my clients who will be using Prepr. During that call, I received helpful advice that made it easier for me to prepare for delivering training to my client Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Top-Notch Support and Enterprise Fit with Prepr"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Prepr CMS?

Within our organization, we have 15 years of experience working with various CMSs, and we switched to headless about seven years ago. After a long search, we found a strong partner in Prepr (a Dutch company). They’re not just a CMS vendor; they genuinely think along with us to help find the best solutions for our customers. Their support team is top-notch, and the product fits exactly what we need when working with large enterprise clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?

Prepr itself can't do much about this, but our clients in the public sector often require us to work with open source. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

A good CMS that is flexible enough for all the needs of our various clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clean UI, Strong Integrations, and a Smooth, Well-Documented API"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Prepr CMS?

UI/UX: Clean, modern interface, and the Visual Editor lets content editors build pages independently without needing developer handoffs.

Integrations: Strong connections with CRM and martech tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zapier), which makes it easy to link content with data.

Performance: The API is clean, well documented, and consistent, so integrations feel smooth and predictable. GraphQL support is efficient. G2

Support/Onboarding: Documentation is solid and includes useful examples, and support responds quickly when questions come up. G2

AI/Intelligence: Personalization and A/B testing are built natively into the CMS, so there’s no need for extra tools to adapt content by behavior or segment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?

Integrations: Strong coverage for marketing and CRM connectors, but for niche tools or custom setups you’ll often need to work directly with the API.

Support/Onboarding: Onboarding is decent, but it would be even smoother with more real-world code examples and clearer best-practice guides. G2

AI/Intelligence: Still relatively new, it feels like translations can be a bit better compared to other ai tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

From a developer’s perspective, Prepr addresses a common headache: content and personalization usually end up split across separate systems. Rather than hardcoding multiple variations or bolting on a standalone A/B testing tool, it keeps everything—content, personalization, and CRM data—in one place.

That setup saves development time because editors can handle updates on their own through the Visual Editor, and I don’t have to build custom logic every time marketing wants to show different content to different visitors. The clean API and GraphQL support also make it quick to connect with whatever front-end framework we’re using, which speeds up implementation and reduces the back-and-forth between the dev and content teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Prepr: Uniquely User-Friendly and Flexible for End Users and Developers"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Prepr CMS?

I've worked with quite a few CMSs - self-hosted and SaaS - in the past, each with their own pros and cons. But Prepr is uniquely user-friendly, for both end users and developers. When I started using it, I immediately noticed how well though-out and flexible it is. From the easy to set up previews to the ability to mix both Models and Components in one simple Stack field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?

Dislike is perhaps a strong word, but I'm mainly missing some quality-of-life improvements like an API endpoint to sync content models. This would allow us to automatically deploy content schemas automatically, instead of having to press an extra button manually during deployments.

Other than that, I would love to see an option to make conditional fields no longer required when they're hidden. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

The client needs to be able to quickly A/B test content. To that end, they've chosen Prepr. Although I haven't yet used it, it seems to work quite intuitively and the Prepr Next.js package seems to handle most of the work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"An all-in-one CMS that grows with your clients"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Prepr CMS?

What sets Prepr apart is its all-in-one approach: content management, A/B testing, and personalization live in a single platform, eliminating the need for separate tools. Everything you need is in one place — and with a team that continuously ships new features and improvements, the platform keeps getting better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?

For smaller to mid-sized projects, navigating content is smooth and intuitive. On larger implementations with a high volume of content items, a more powerful search experience would be a welcome addition — something worth keeping in mind when structuring your content model upfront. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prepr solves one of our core challenges: delivering platforms that clients can actually manage themselves. The intuitive interface means less training time and fewer support requests after handover. The Visual Editor in particular is a win for our clients — they can draft and preview content changes without touching anything live, which gives them confidence to work independently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid hosted CMS with enterprise feature-set with good support from Prepr"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Prepr CMS?

The biggest upside for us is the support and features. Choosing a CMS service instead of hosting yourself is a trade-off. You give up some level of control in return for a dedicated team that supports, hosts, maintains, develops, etc. Prepr responds quickly, thinks along, invests in your project and the CMS is very feature complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?

From a developer perspective: downside is not having direct access to the system. Again, this is the trade-off between self-hosting/using a service. I'm happy with this trade-off since Prepr was very helpful during implementation, even with supporting us in the more technical areas e.g. during data migration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Supplying our clients with a fully featured professional CMS that is actively developed and supported, without the "hassle" of self-hosting and maintenance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Custom Solutions Made Easy with Prepr CMS"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Prepr CMS?

I use Prepr CMS to create custom solutions for a large set of clients as part of a digital agency. I like its deeply integrated A/B + Personalization features, which make content for client-side content editors more interactive, going beyond just static pages. It's also a great affordable alternative to enterprise CMSes with A/B/personalization features like Sitecore or Optimizely. Moreover, service at Prepr CMS truly means service: you can have direct contact with their teams about the product, which is of great help when setting up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?

I would say that content publishing views are quite straightforward, long forms of inputs underneath each other. Very Drupally. Which is fine, but with the rise of AI, how can UIs be further optimized than just long forms of input? Also, from a developer's perspective, configuration of the CMS is mostly done via web views. It would be great if configuration could be consolidated more. This is now done throughout the web portal, while a specific developer segment or maybe even a CLI tool would speed up development, especially with the rise of agentic AI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prepr CMS provides headless content management in a user-friendly way, with built-in AB testing and personalization, making content more interactive for editors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
