## About Prepr CMS
Prepr CMS: The headless CMS for lead-gen and commerce. Prepr CMS is a headless content management system for teams that need their website to capture and convert leads, not just publish pages. It combines structured content with built-in personalization and A/B testing, so marketers can ship changes fast and see what works. Most teams run into the same problems: - Websites show the same content to everyone and underperform. - Simple changes require developer time and slow release cycles. - Web and CRM data live in different systems, making personalization hard. Prepr CMS solves these by connecting content, data, and delivery in one place: - Personalization built in — tailor content by behavior, campaign source, or segment. - Visual editing — build and adjust pages without developer handoffs. - A/B testing — validate headlines, layouts, and offers with clear results. - Integrated data layer — track content performance and tie it to leads and pipeline. - Default CRM integrations — use CRM fields for targeting, send buying signals back. Prepr CMS is designed for marketing and growth teams, content editors, and developers at B2B companies and digital organizations that run lead-gen campaigns. The platform supports multi-channel delivery (websites, apps, and other touchpoints) and scales with traffic and content volume. Primary use cases: - Improve conversion rates — test key pages and personalize for different visitor groups and audiences. - Generate better leads — capture behavior signals and sync qualified interest to the CRM. - Personalize buyer journeys — continue campaign context beyond the landing page. - Future-proof the marketing stack — flexible and scalable headless content model with clean APIs. - Manage multiple brands — share schemas and components for easy development and consistency while keeping access controlled. What this looks like in practice: - Personalization: Launch a campaign page, then tailor follow-up pages by source (e.g., LinkedIn vs. search), visitor behavior, firmographics, or buying stage. - A/B testing: Test and optimize messaging by adjusting proof points, offers, or CTAs for different audience segments. - Buying signals: Send events like "viewed pricing," "downloaded guide," or "visited integration page" directly to your CRM. - Zero code website updates: Let marketers ship copy and layout changes in minutes, without developer support. Prepr CMS provides the structure developers want and the control marketers need. The result is a site that adapts to visitors, learns from every interaction, and turns more traffic into qualified demand—without stitching together multiple tools.

## Prepr CMS Reviews
 ### 1. A genuinely pleasant CMS to develop with

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marieke V. | Frontend developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

The main navigation bar is simple and very clear, it's easy to find the most important sections (schema/model/media).
I like the preview image of each model/component. It makes it very easy to find the right components when editing content.
Finding content or certain pages is really easy, because the filters make sense.
As a developer I really liked that API returns clean, flat data structures.
Support is good: the prepr team is directly reachable via Slack and responds quickly.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Not much, I wouldn't say there were any large downsides.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a developer, the main thing Prepr solves is friction. Things like clean data responses, flexible content modelling, and an accessible support team all, make sure setting up our data model and getting pages built is fast and easy.

 ### 2. Fast, Beautiful, and Easy to Get Started

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maikel M. | Lead developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

It’s easy to use and looks great. The system is fast, and pulling data into the headless application is quick and smooth. Getting started is straightforward, so it doesn’t take long to be up and running.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Extending, expanding, and customising it is either not possible or not as robust as in other systems, which makes it not flexible enough for all solutions. It’s also not open source. It’s SaaS and can’t be run locally, which isn’t great for development. The DTAP environment flow also isn’t amazing.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Support is good, and it’s easy for customers to use. It also looks and feels modern. The main benefit for me is that it’s easy to “sell” to customers who don’t need leads or custom work. It also helps that the pricing feels fair. The AI features make it even easier to sell the CMS, although I haven’t really seen the benefits of using them yet.

 ### 3. Smooth Editor and Flexible Components, but Real-Time Page Preview Would Help

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I love how smooth the editor feels. When migrating content, which is what I do most often, you don’t want a clunky UI slowing you down. Preprs components make it really easy to structure text beautifully and add media on the fly, keeping the focus entirely on good content.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Sometimes I miss a true, real-time visual preview of how the text looks on the actual page. Since it's headless, you're often looking at abstract components. For a copywriter, seeing the exact final layout while typing makes formatting a lot easier.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It prevents the chaotic mess that usually happens during large content migrations. By keeping content modular. It benefits me because I can deliver a well-organized, high-performing website to clients much faster

 ### 4. User-friendly No-Code Solution with Price Tag

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mattijn S. | Medior Full-stack Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I find Prepr CMS an interesting app because it is a no-code platform. Before I worked with Prepr, I always looked somewhat negatively at no-code, but actually, with Prepr, you can do everything you can with other CMSs like Sanity or Drupal. Prepr saves you a lot of custom solutions that are the same in many projects. It's like a package where you can do almost everything you need. Additionally, the simplicity of the setup is pleasant, because everything was self-explanatory and it was quite simple. It also works very well with different projects like Firan and e-hubs.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

The costs

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Prepr CMS for both new and old projects. It is convenient because I only need to create one schema that is reusable for different environments. Prepr CMS works as a no-code platform and offers 99% of what other CMSs do without the need for much customization.

 ### 5. User-friendly and Flexible with Powerful AI Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johan C. | Senior Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I love Prepr CMS because of its user-friendliness, simplicity, and flexibility. The AI translations are very useful, and I look forward to further AI integrations that can make the content management process even faster. The intuitive user interface allows users to get started with minimal training. I also appreciate that personalization and A/B testing are integrated, enabling marketers to easily set up experiments within the CMS. The solution offers both content management and personalization and A/B testing right upon delivery, and the combination of the CMS and hosting platform from the EEA is a plus. It is an affordable integrated solution that takes a lot of work off our hands.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

I have not yet encountered any real limitations. From a development perspective, more can be done in terms of automation, for example through a more extensive content management API in which models and components can also be realized.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS offers content management, personalization, and A/B testing in one solution. It has a user-friendly interface, allowing users to get started with minimal training. This makes setting up experiments easier for marketers, among other things.

 ### 6. Easy to Use, Great Integrations, and a Polished Look

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Looks nice and is quite easy to use for the most part. The plain prep is good, and there are enough integrations to fill in the gaps.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Unstable occasionally, during development ran into several bugs but they were fixed quite fast so that is nice. Only real gap with prepr cms is the forms integrations these all rely on embeds and i would like a more native solution to guard quality etc of the website.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly, our customers' content management is quite clean and easy to use. I have fewer problems with customers coming back with questions, etc. (This depends on how we, as developers, structure the components, of course.)

 ### 7. Intuitive CMS

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rowan Paul F. | Full stack developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

The interface is of the CMS is very intuitive and easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Working on it with multiple people (as a developer) can be quite difficult because when someone makes a schema change it breaks for everyone doing local work. There are also (what I feel) as a lot of downtime compared to self hosting.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making us not have to think about the CMS at all, including integrations and user experience

 ### 8. Great for A/B testing and content personalization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom M. | Frontend Ontwikkelaar, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I really love features like A/B testing and content personalization. They make it much easier for me to experiment and tailor the content better.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

I find the CMS a bit messy. I would like to be able to organize my pages by group. I have created categories, but they all appear one below the other in the sidebar. I can't create an overarching group, like "Categories," to bundle those elements. This makes it more difficult to logically organize certain groups and keep the CMS clear and understandable.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I really like that I can add images per section so that it is clear to the user which section he/she is adding.

 ### 9. Great Communication and Support from a Local Dutch Company.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danny Paul v. | Senior Software Developer Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

It is a local (Dutch) company. Communication with Prepr as developer is very good, they take the time and effort to support.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

De complexity for editors could be an issue if to many Items exist. Folder structure is still a default way of thinking for many people.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A good content management system to solve the general issue for mainly containt. It gives good insights. How I sometimes (as a developer) wish it would not be full headless.

 ### 10. Good UI and Performance, OK overview

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bram H. | Lead Designer & Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

User friendly UI, works fast (most of the time)

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Making views to filter accross all models is kind of a hassle. Other CMS makes this proces a bit nicer and easier.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flexible CMS for large websites for our clients

 ### 11. Many features, UI could be better

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

The CMS offers a lot of flexibility and possibilities. In that regard, you can create what you want and connect with many systems.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

The UI still leaves something to be desired. Overall, it is quite large; it takes up a lot of space, which I think could be more efficient. Especially when there are many dropdown fields, it can sometimes become overwhelming.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flexibility and multi-site. Easy schedule sync and good support from the Prepr team.

 ### 12. Flexible Reusable Components That Speed Up Building Pages

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I like the flexibility and that you can re-use components on different pages without having to make them multiple times.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

The overview can get a bit overwhelming with all the pages, component, etc. Naming pages and component and sub-items can create a bit of a mess, especially if people don't follow clear naming rules.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's very easy to use, and it makes creating new pages for the site a lot quicker.

 ### 13. Streamlined Content Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexay S. | Senior Software Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I like how efficiently the content workflow is organized in Prepr CMS. It offers flexibility for developers and usability for content editors. I appreciate the AI assistance features, like translations and content optimization. The native support for A/B testing and personalization tools is a great advantage. I also find it straightforward to create and refine content models, and the system is designed in a logical and clear way, making defining components and relationships both intuitive and efficient. The initial setup was super easy, and there is good documentation provided. Additionally, the central storage is helpful for storing content in one place and using it across different apps, and the out-of-the-box integrations with tools to build forms and search functionality are beneficial.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

One area that can be improved in Prepr CMS is the presence of small UI issues. These issues don't block my work, but they can interrupt a configuration done. Sometimes the preview mode doesn't update correctly, and the configuration of conditional fields can disappear.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Prepr CMS for central storage of content, simplifying content management across apps. It offers built-in A/B testing, personalization, and easy content modeling. The flexible workflow helps both developers and editors with AI tools enhancing translations and optimizations.

 ### 14. Clean Interface and Lightweight, But Faces Common CMS Challenges

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jens V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I like Prepr CMS for its nice clear interface and lightweight design. I also appreciate the clean interface and good APIs that make it efficient to use. One of the features I find valuable is the live preview option, which adds to its usability. Additionally, setting up Prepr CMS was easy thanks to the environment they provide, making it simple to create a test environment.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

The same things every headless CMS struggles with, like handling routes and redirects.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS offers a clear and lightweight interface, making it easy to build websites. It provides good APIs and a live preview option, simplifying the development process.

 ### 15. User-Friendly CMS with Powerful Personalization

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roel K. | Kentico Marketing MVP, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I use Prepr CMS for our R&D project and really like its combination of CMS features with personalization and user-friendliness. The platform assists us in defining a correct content model for our content distribution, which is a huge plus. It's also handy for our content team not only to publish content but to leverage personalization through the cinema interface. Additionally, the initial setup was pretty straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Ni particular things that stand out

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS solves CMS challenges in a composable architecture. It offers a combination of CMS and personalization with user-friendliness, helping us define content models and leverage personalization effectively for content distribution.

 ### 16. Developer-friendly headless CMS for modern teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Prepr makes it easy to create content and scale up when needed. It comes with a broad set of features and personalisation options, which helps us tailor content to our needs. Amazing UI / UX experience.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

The pricing can be on the high side, which some customers don’t want to pay.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating Prepr CMS allowed us to re-use content for multiple customer facing endpoints.

 ### 17. Great Shared Backend for Development, but the Editing UI Needs Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

You don't have to run the CMS locally for development. You also share the same backend and content with your colleagues.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

When editing a page with a lot of content it is difficult to find the module / content that you want to edit or view.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Compared to some other CMS systems it is fast, so we have to spend less time optimizing speed.

 ### 18. Developer-Friendly Experience with Quick, Helpful Team Communication

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Developer friendly user experience, and quick communication with the team when questions or issues arise.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

There are some very cool personalization and targeting features, but these take some time to properly learn how to use.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast and easy to use headless CMS with GraphQL capabilities that we can easily deploy for new clients.

 ### 19. Clean, Fast UI and Solid GraphQL—But Stability and Schema-Based CMS Are Missing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Clean interface where i can find everything rather quickly, good Graphql layer.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Sometimes it has stability issues. No schema based CMS (like Sanity) to easily copy schemas to create new website. No version control because of this.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No more backend needed, headless is for me the way forwards to rapid development.

 ### 20. Prepr offers a modern platform for managing a headless CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas H. | Head of Product, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Prepr offers a modern platform for managing a headless CMS. The thing which made our sales and marketing team choose for Prepr is mainly the A/B testing feature and dynamic personalized content options. During development Prepr offered nice support on the questions our development team had and they were also flexible in helping out on some not so standard requests. The fact that it is a Dutch company is also nice!

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Some things in the pricing model are less nice. The fact that they offer no uptime guarantee in the basic plan is understandable, but a bit weird if you look at it from a tech perspective.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping our sales and marketing department taking ownership of our corporate website.

 ### 21. Headless CMS with lots of support and rapid development

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc S. | Senior Front-end developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

The support that Prepr offers, the speed of new developments, and the freedom you increasingly have as a developer in the CMS.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

As a developer, you have complete freedom in design, but sometimes we still have to make choices about this design because the UI for a content editor can become complex (think of screens within screens if you have many models nested together.)

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr provides the freedom as a headless CMS that other traditional CMSs (e.g., WordPress) do not offer. This allows us to use our own technical stack and determine the IT landscape ourselves. The code is separate from the CMS, with the CMS serving only as a content/data provider.

 ### 22. Versatile SaaS-based CMS with excellent support and adaptive capabilities

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

What I like best about Prepr CMS is its combination of flexibility and ease of use. The content modeling is intuitive, making it easy to structure content exactly the way we need it. Customer support is excellent — fast, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile to help resolve issues or answer questions. Their responsiveness gives us confidence that we’re supported, even when working with more complex setups.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Compared to other CMS platforms, Prepr's GUI can feel less intuitive and harder to navigate, especially for new users. It takes some time to get used to the structure and workflow. Compared to other CMS platforms, Prepr is closed source which can be a deal breaker sometimes.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS helps us deliver the ideal content management solution for our clients. Its flexibility allows us to tailor the content model to each client's specific needs. For us, the ease of implementation and strong API support make it easy to integrate Prepr into a wide range of digital products. This accelerates our development process and enables us to offer a scalable, future-proof CMS to our clients.

 ### 23. Clean, modern CMS with powerful APIs and excellent developer experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris B. | Backend developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

As a backend developer, what stands out most about Prepr CMS is its well-structured GraphQL API. It gives me precise control over data fetching and makes integration with frontend frameworks (like Next.js or Nuxt) incredibly efficient. The API schema is clean, predictable, and auto-documenting, which reduces the need to dive into external docs constantly. Prepr has excellent uptime and performance, and their support team has been quick to answer questions

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Prepr CMS has a bit of a learning curve, especially if you're new to GraphQL or structured content modeling, but the thorough documentation and API explorer make onboarding much smoother.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS solves the challenge of managing structured, reusable content in a headless architecture. Instead of combining multiple services, I can work with one unified platform that exposes everything through a clean GraphQL API. This simplifies my backend logic, reduces dependencies, and speeds up development.

 ### 24. The cloud CMS we always needed

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Milan L. | Full Stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

The best thing about Prepr is the scaleability. For that one time per year a website gets a complete overhaul in 100 different languages we don't need a super server. It will all be on Prepr's servers

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Because it is a cloud solution it is a little less dynamic, but that is also a work in progress and gets better. And if there is a function missing we are supported very fast in what the best course of action would be.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Definitely scalability and moving CMS server power-responsibility to another party.

 ### 25. Minimalistic CMS with awesome customer / developer service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim M. | Backend developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

The people that work there. Since we have a lot of data and technical complexity in our stack, we often ask Prepr to implement features from our large wishlist, or help us fix a problem that occurs. Especially the latter is super helpful to us. They are always stand-by to solve a problem, and friendly when doing so. Also, I think that Prepr is curious about how their customers use their CMS, in order to improve it - for example, they attended one of our user test days and took the results very seriously.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Currently, the CMS is not as feature-rich as other CMS products, like Directus or Strapi. This could be a problem for bigger and technical complex projects. Also, it sometimes feels as if the fundamentals of the Prepr architecture are directing more towards a website publishing system than a "pure" headless CMS that is able to serve multiple platforms at once - for example by leaving out the separation of data and view in their model structure

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is going to replace our outdated and very headfull CMS. Prepr is much cleaner and easier to use for our editors. We hope that editors will spend less time doing boilerplate kind-of-work such as tweaking an article with the right colors, and more time on writing an actual article.

 ### 26. Prepr is a modern, user friendly CMS with interesting optimization tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marten J. | Technical Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

User friendly interface
Good team, quick support
Good performance
Good documentation
Good integration with Next.js (SDK provided)
Git integration

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Limited control over UI for development
No structuring in content types
Git integration is a bit clunky

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a good headless CMS to accompany the applications we deliver to our clients

 ### 27. My review of PreprCMS as a backend for headless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Boris D. | Fullstack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Currently I feel like PreprCMS works precisely how I want it to work, and features I am missing are usually quickly added when talked about.
I worked with other CMS's and apart from some specific I find the workflow intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Initially some features that I personally found standard were missing, but it shines when it comes to unique features.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is flexible and provides a good UI for editors.

The query capabilities could be more expansive

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I like how easy it is to use and fill the content on your website, it's easy to duplicate pages so you don't need to hand fill everything everytime. I like how you can use the real data to test your website which is also extra useful when there is a bug on the live site.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

When your page has a lot of content it can be a bit more difficult to use.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

An easy to use CMS that our clients can use to fill in the content on their website.

 ### 31. Great CMS!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Prepr is very intuitive and has very good DX (Developer Experience) and you can get things done quickly and easily.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

There is still of course room for improvements and Prepr is working hard on it! But at its core it does what it needs to do!

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting up and running with a headless CMS that both user and implementor understand. Has most good practices and features out of the box and integrations with third-party solutions.

 ### 32. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Prepr is use to pickup and use. You can easily setup a powerful backend for the site you're making.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Easy to learn, hard to master. It can be difficult to sometimes get something very specific.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A powerful and easy to configure backend for websites.

 ### 33. Bridging the Gap Between Developers and Content Editors

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter B. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Prepr CMS strikes a nice balance between offering tooling for developers and ease of use for potentially non-technical content editors. For developers it offers the ability to easily create rich schemas with configurable documentation for content editors, scoped access tokens, and an API explorer for configuring GraphQL queries. For content editors, it provides a clean UI that doesn't overwhelm users, robust media management, and clear workflows encouraging collaboration.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

For non-technical users, Prepr CMS lacks some of the intuitiveness that can leave users frustrated. While the scheduling feature is functionally great, the act of scheduling something to be published can be confusing due to the overlap between the published status and the workflow status. With two-way associations between content items, only the parent => children relationship is shown. When viewing a child content item, it is unclear whether it has been associated with a parent. For example you can see all the Team Members on a Team but can’t see the Team that a Team Member belongs to by looking at the Team Member content item.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Utilize a CMS to allow non-technical contributors to easily make edits to the organization's website.

 ### 34. Good in what it wants to be

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rogier D. | Senior Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

It is easy to use interface for Users is a great feature

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Is is not as feature rich as other CMS tools I have used

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr helps us with giving a onine visibility for tv and radio programmas for VPRO and HUMAN. It helps us to reach more people.

 ### 35. A CMS with enterprise-level functionality and personalised support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Remco T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

As a developer Prepr is easy to implement using the extensive documentation they provide. Creating schema's is very easy and when the client's requirements get complex, Prepr offers very helpful personal support answering all our questions and sometimes provide us with customized solutions to fit our needs. The segmentation functionality is something our clients are enthusiastic about when using it. The interface is very intuitive and our clients are very happy with the ease of use, especially the AI implementations. We now use Prepr for all of our future client requests.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

The only improvement I could think of right now, at the time of writing this review, is the lack of a visual editor functionality like some other competitors have implemented. This functionality is on the roadmap however, so this feedback might be disregarded on a later stage.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr offers a clear and concise CMS for content management, although the intricacies of content handling can become complex at times. Leveraging its headless architecture, Prepr seamlessly integrates into our frontend architecture, facilitating smooth and flexible development processes.

 ### 36. Efficient content creation and management with Prepr CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan T. | Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

For me as a presenter and producer, it's nice that I could write articles for the website alongside my scripts for the show. This way, I have everything I need for my work in one website, and I can use it quickly and easily. Additionally, our website is also built on Prepr, and for the developer, it's convenient that the CMS works excellently due to the model and content editors.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

As a company using NextJS, the developer experience can still be improved with easier-to-use integration libraries, for example, for rendering rich text or generating TypeScript types.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multiple functions in one place. Easy for all types of users.

 ### 37. Great user experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max A. | Product Owner web | Scildon.nl, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Probably the best thing about Prepr is that they are constantly developing new and improving features. Their UX is very slick and compared to other headless CMS I used before, this is very helpfull both to me as content creators in our team. We are in the process of building our new website based on Prepr and sofar it has been a good experience for me as PO but also for our developers. It's easy to build websites with components and modals once you get the hang of it. It gives great flexibility and my gut feeling is that this will become the new standard. We haven't started using AB and Personalisation yet, but those are amongst the things we chose for Prepr. On the security side of things, they offer 2FA and SSO which makes it a good choice as well.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Before you start, it's hard to grasp the concept of Preprs subscription tears. Should you go for small or medium? Beforehand it's difficult to say how many content components or modals you need, or for example how much Bandwith you need. Though I think their new pricing plan gives a good overview. It's like a menucard and it gives a clear overview on what happens with price when you upgrade for example the amount of users, or things as A/B testing or Personalisation. But when you go above a certain price threshold, you are going to a higher 'service' tier as well, which can make things pricy. I suggest you discuss beforehand with your agency and developers and estimate how many components and modals you are likely going to build before choosing the right subscription.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're upgrading from a Wordpress website to a website with a headless CMS.
This gives us more flexibility, both in CMS, development on the tech side as well on the frontend side of things.

 ### 38. An intuitive, feature-rich, and well-organized CMS.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Twan S. | Marketingmanager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

The clear overview and user-friendly UI.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

There is no direct link from live pages to CMS.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The headless and multisite structure and clear UI keep us all easily in control of our platform.

 ### 39. Building a CMS UI with PREP

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

It gives us the possiblity to get a nice a good CMS UI which our content editor can use a daily basis. Also all user management is possible in combination with our Microsoft accounts.
For the developers the API's and webhooks are easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Sometimes it a little hard to debug certain error within the webhooks and api's
but the support on that is great.
The models within the CMS sometimes are a little complex due to certain missing features.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A clean and usefull UI which editors are easliy are adpoted to.
For the developers it save time developing a UI for a CMS so the can focus on the frontend of the website.

 ### 40. Good CMS for a flexible, customizable CMS with powerful personalization capabilities.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yanick v. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Prepr is a content management system that offers a powerful GraphQL endpoint for accessing and managing content. I have experienced that the GraphQL endpoint is clear and easy to use, making it a great choice for developers. One of the standout features of Prepr is its UI, which is user-friendly and visually looking nice.

However, what really sets Prepr apart is its focus on personalization. The platform offers a range of tools and features for personalization, like reading tags, giving likes to specific articles and such on.

Overall, based on these features, it seems that Prepr would be a good choice for businesses that are looking for a flexible, customizable content management solution with powerful personalization capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

The GraphQL endpoint occasionally breaks down which causes our client's website or mobile application(s) to break. This happens sporadically and when this happens the client contacts us that their website/app is broken. We then have to pass this back to Prepr, it would be nicer if Prepr could look at this more proactively.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr gives our clients a great way to manage their website and application. In addition, the personalized part of Prepr is interesting and we do not need to connect to other systems for this.

 ### 41. A great headless content management system with a hefty price tag.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jori R. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

* Great customer service & developer support
* Regular updates, based on customer feedback
* Clear user interface helps content editors
* Schema modeling is simple and effective
* Auto generated GraphQL API is a time saver
* i18n works well

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

* Prepr's pricing structure is steep, pay as you go or more granular plans would be great, for most projects the cheapest plan + 2 environments would suffice.
* Content items and components don't have the same fields available
* Prepr's dynamic content block's GraphQL response isn't always as usable as a developer due to formatting decisions
* Prepr doesn't always neatly integrate with modern frameworks such as Next.js

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The key reasons we like Prepr over other headless CMSes are:

* European hosting so we & clients comply with GDPR
* A/B testing and personalisation support so we can expand our offering
* Leaner than open source alternatives

 ### 42. Personalization with ease

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob G. | Founder, Entertainment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

One of the most notable advantages of utilizing the stack field is that making personalized content modifications becomes an exceptionally easy and user-friendly process, even for those with minimal technical expertise or experience.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Starting a project from scratch can present a challenge when it comes to data modelling, particularly for individuals who are not already familiar with the subject.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr has successfully tackled two critical issues that we were facing. Streamlining our content management and simplifying the process of personalizing it to our target audience. By leveraging Prepr's powerful features, we are now able to efficiently manage our content and customize it according to the needs and preferences of our audience.

 ### 43. A Headless CMS with a lot of cool features, but also some things to improve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thom S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Prepr as a CMS has a lot of features! This often mitigates the need for yet another system in your already bloated landscape. Also, support is very direct.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Their documentation could be improved. Also, their stability could be a bit better.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a system for clients to edit their content in.

 ### 44. Nice and easy to understand CMS

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

For me personally I really like the content editor. It makes it easy to add content

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

The biggest thing I dislike so far is that when a enviorment is opend you get to the schmea instead of the content first.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it easy for our editorial to write there content that way I as a developer don't have to help them that much

 ### 45. Does what it should do

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Does mainly what it should do. Provides most basic functionalities for a CMS. Is pretty stable.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Sudden changes in functionality. Incomplete functionalities (or functionalities are not available for every input/output)

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Input of content. Pretty straightforward.

 ### 46. Good CMS with great support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raymond v. | Cloud Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

From a developer's perspective, Prepr is very easy to integrate. The REST API works very well and has low response times. Support employees answer questions very fast and effectively, and issues are solved shortly after being reported.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

When creating a list that references other publications within prepr, or an external integration, the list must be created and updated in every language. It would be a great feature to allow elements to be created as a 'global' component without speciefying a language. Also the documentation is sometimes not entirely clear and complete.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr enabled us to allow our customers to create and maintain their content without spending a lot of time creating an application to achieve this goal. We were able to launch an MVP with Prepr implemented as an admin portal, which helped us focus on the core functionality and resulted in an earlier launch of their platform.

 ### 47. I got your back...

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark v. | Tech manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

A solid and easy-to-use platform for everyone involved in broadcasting. Website(s)backbone/publishing/communication/manageable layers/socials etc. Support = thumbs up!

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Nothing really... for some people: pricing? but hey!... nothing comes cheap. Every module needs work and we hope that more broadcasters need the same, so the costs get lower for all of us.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looking for a newsroom system for our specific workflow didn't work out. PREPR is the next best thing for handling stories across all our outputs. And it's growing towards a total & practical solution for our future.

 ### 48. More than another headless CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

What I like most about the Prepr solution is that it is a product with a clear vision. They know where they are heading :) The team is always open to discuss new features and if they find it a valuable addition to the product, they put it on their roadmap. I also like their preparedness to think about ways to improve their services and their input on how accomplish my strategic goals as a product owner. The newest features Prepr offer: segmentation, automation, notifications are very useful in this regard.
It is a relatively small company but it is great that they are Dutch and it is very easy to get and stay in touch.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

What I don't like is that due to the specifics of the Graph technology Prepr is built on, there are some hickups in matching our development and acceptance environments, with theirs. Hopefully, we will find a workable solution in the near future.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the past, we did have some issues through mix-ups in communication. These have been talked through and now the communication is much better.
Also, they have made some important improvements to their API's that make it possible to differentiate between the online events that we store within a user profile. All online behaviour of our logged-in users can now be used for targetting different groups of people.
