## Premiere Elements Reviews
 ### 1. Easy, Guided Video Editing That Delivers Polished Results

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aldo M. | Engineer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

What I like most about Adobe Premiere Elements is how easy it is to create polished videos without needing advanced editing skills. The interface is straightforward, and the guided edits make it simple to perform tasks like trimming clips, adding transitions, or improving color and lighting.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

One drawback of Adobe Premiere Elements is that it can feel somewhat limited once you want more advanced editing capabilities. While it works well for basic editing and guided workflows, users who want deeper control over effects, color grading, or complex timelines may find the feature set restrictive.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps solve the problem of creating and editing videos without needing professional-level editing skills or complex software. It provides a simplified interface and guided edits that make it easier to organize clips, trim footage, add transitions, and produce a finished video quickly.

 ### 2. Premiere Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett G. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

Premiere Elements is a great video editing software due to its relative intuitiveness and simplicity of use. It has really good built-in training and enough features to do pretty much anything an amateur content/film creator would need.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

The older versions of the software seem to have some limitations on the ability and ease of formating video for various social media platforms. Have had some issues in the past with software freezing during a project and losing some of the work.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

Premiere Elements will take care of most video editing needs and has a relatively low learning curve

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I currently use Premiere Elements for quick and easy video editing for social media marketing and webpage design. Also, use Premiere Elements for video editing for online courses and YouTube "explainer videos".

 ### 3. Excellent Video Editing Solution at a Great Price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott T. | Senior IT Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

Adobe Premiere Elements (when purchased as a package with Adobe Photoshop Elements) costs between $100 and $150 for both applications. They have some advanced features that are reserved for the subscription Pro versions, but I've never needed any of them.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

The only complaint I would have about it is that you are limited to a smaller number of tracks in the application, so if you have a long video, with lots of media added (images, picture-in-picture, etc.), you might have to combine items into a single track, although this has rarely happened to me with it.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Premiere Elements to make YouTube videos for a YouTube channel I run, as well as for some groups that I'm a member of. I've also used it for work-related training videos that I do screen recordings of software overviews for employees.

 ### 4. Almost perfect for beginners! Packs pretty much all you need to get started with basic video editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Romi K. | App/Game Designer | UI/UX & Prototype Expert | Motion Graphics | Video Editor | GIF | JSON, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

Elements have all the basic tools that you need for basic video editing and especially if you are new/beginner. It's very easy to use and has a very slick, modern minimalistic user interface so you won't feel overwhelmed by just looking at it. You'll know if you have used after-effects or sony vegas or similar tools. You don't need any training to get started with this software even if you are using it for the first time, you'll be good to go.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

Well, its biggest advantage is its biggest draw. It's simple, easy, and good for basic video editing but lacks the punch when it comes to more advanced editing. needs more effects, transitions, and customization options.
Not a deal-breaker though, but for someone who is looking to dig deeper into the editing world will be more comfortable or feel powerful with premier, final cut pro, or avid.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

Packs pretty much all you need to get started with basic video editing. Perfect solution if you are not an expert and doing it just for fun.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Good for basic video editing when you are on your laptop, or mobile device and on the run. Mostly making a traveling video or just fooling around with fun stuff and what doesn't require too much editing.
Just drag and drop your clips and music and voila.

 ### 5. Intuitive Software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben W. | Wunderwriter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

The interface is easy to use, there are many different tools and facilities offered by the software in addition to being able to export the finished product into a large variety of file types. I like the fact that it is possible to export saved documents directly to YouTube and other platforms from the software.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

The software takes a long time to install and is still prone to occasional bugs that can crash the program. I would have liked to see a more prominent autosave and/or restore feature as this would have removed the potential loss of work had the software crashed. However, it should be noted that this review is based on a previous version of Premiere Elements and this functionality may now have been included. If this is the case then I would find little to fault with the software, though it's limitation is linked to the processing power of the computer you are using.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used the software for video editing and applying additional features to my content to provide a cinematic experience for the consumer. It is easy to apply multiple effects and be creative in terms of effects which means it is very simple to create a product that embodies my imagination.

 ### 6. Intuitive and professional video editor

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olivia E. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

This video editor has everything you need, it is very intuitive and with all the necessary tools to make professional quality videos, from editing tools, design, effects, transformation, and animation, with which we will have many options to choose from. When editing our videos, the program offers a wide variety of insertion options in the edit bar to insert images, text or effects, from where we create the sequence of the video clips as well as a distribution of it, we also have tools To separate video from audio and edit them separately and later re-combine, among the effects tools it contains transition effects between clip sequences as well as blurring, transformation, gradient and color saturation, with which we can make green screen effects or video overlay on video, as well as add watermarks to our videos

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

I would like the program to have more audio editing tools, and more pre-established effects to be able to add them with a click

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

This software is easy to use, I recommend that you first drag all the files you are going to use to the edit line and then start editing after finishing the sequence

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we do video editing with this program we quickly add files such as audios, images or different video clips as well as narrations as the case may be, later add them to the editing line to cut them, transform them or combine them to finally have a sequence where we can go on to add the start, entry, subtitles or color effects, we can also add different effects to the audio to match the video, then we add the overlays and transparencies where in case of news services we add watermark to the video, or the narration boxes of the announcer, to finally have a professional quality video ready to upload to our sites and networks

 ### 7. Basically good but I'd like more flexibility with audio

 ### 8. practical and useful video application. For those looking for a quick solution.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

It has been adapted for novice consumers. simple interface. user friendly. other programs are not difficult to use. It has a language that can be used all over the world. For this reason, I did not have much difficulty in the learning phase. I could learn without an education. You can be a good video editor with 2-3 hours of labor.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

Videos take up a lot of hard disk space. I am using it on a small Macbook. this makes me sad. It negatively affects my work. I have to use extra memory. This is what I usually complain about.
Run files are usually large. but most of this problem belongs to my computer.
I am thinking of changing the computer soon.
I am waiting for your suggestions :)

 ### 9. Premiere Elements powerful but easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

The menus and thumbnail images that show the different effects and transitions between your inserted content are a great guide visually and the sheer number of them is almost overwhelming, leaving you with many options as to how to present your work and make it look very professional!

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

The help menu and topics that can be searched for are quite limited, a list of possible options should be shown and an auto complete feature should display a list of possible topics that you may be searching for.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My main problem is how to add titles and text and make them fade in and out to a professional looking standard when presenting my videos on platforms such as Youtube and Vimeo.

 ### 10. be a simple and convenient program

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Demet K. | graphic designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

user-friendly due to its simple and convenient interface

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

maybe because it's a large-scale program, it creates difficulty using some computer

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

I think you should definitely try using it. you don't have to work for a company. you can easily edit even your simplest videos in this program. I'm sure this program, which YouTubers and bloggers use the most, will become very famous in a while.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can easily edit and edit videos

 ### 11. Simple and Easy, Yet Very Professional!

 ### 12. Premiere elemetns is a very user friendly and powerfull tool to use for video editing.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

It has an intuitive layout which is simple while at the same time being flexible

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

because it is in the elements series, you dont really get all that is available with Premiere but you get enough features to do some pretty neat things.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it covers about a great number of video formats and also let's you export in a variety of formats which are compatible on most platforms

 ### 17. Good value for video editing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul K. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

Photoshop Premiere elements offers me most of the tools that I would need without the professional price tag.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

Some features are limited, the suite isn't always my go to for all editing projects.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Photoshop Premiere elements allows me to do simple video edits and improvements for school projects.

 ### 18. A tight and capable video editing environment

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron S. | Digital Media Producer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

Premiere Elements offers most of the main features that I look for when editing video. When I want to create simple videos, I like to stick to the basic timeline panel with only a few effects options which Premiere Elements does a good job at highlighting. Adobe Premiere Elements also comes with a solid library a video transitions that we can easily drag to the ends of our video clips to generate instantly smooth transition effects.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

Premiere Elements doesn't have many features that will allow for more advanced editing that can be achieved in software like Final Cut Pro or the full Premiere Pro program. Even though I like the simple environment, it's also nice to have the option to activate more features or to introduce more professional plugins that can work smoothly within this system.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

I believe Adobe Premiere Elements has one of the most balanced set of features for basic video editing software. It sticks to the main elements of video editing and can generate professional video files to be used in advertising, presentations and many other types of media.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Premiere Elements has given me flexibility to be able to edit many different types of videos with low effort. I have already been familiar with lots of popular video editing applications, so getting started with using Adobe Premiere Elements was a smooth process. I think it would be a smooth process for anyone that has sufficient experience with any type of standard video editing software. We can save or export to many file formats to use for uploading to various websites or for file sharing and collaborations.

 ### 19. Contains all of the video editing tools that I used the most

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim G. | Account Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

Adobe's Premiere Elements keeps all of the video editing tools in a simple layout that makes things easy to access. I work with people who don't have that much experience editing, so I appreciate an interface like this which is suitable for basic video editing. All of us that use Premiere Elements can focus only on the primary editing actions that matter most to us. We are also provided with many features that allow us to add common simple effects such as text, transitions and color correction. We can also render video files to many standard formats, which is great when we need to export our videos into other software for further processing.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

Premiere Elements is mainly for basic editing and cannot be used for more advanced effects or animations that we occasionally need. There are times where we want to use templates that we find online for higher-end video editing applications, but we are unable to make all the edits we need in many of those video templates through Premiere Elements.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

I think that Premiere Elements shouldn't take most people long to learn how to use, but if you need some assistance, there are tons of websites and instruction articles that can help you with common functionality and loading issues.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Premiere Elements tends to run quicker and processes videos faster than some of the more premium level video editing applications I have used. The controls are very easy for beginner users, which is great since we need to sometimes have many several people work on cutting clips together and adding simple transitions. The pricing for Premiere Elements is much less than the higher end Adobe Premiere Pro, but we get good value from it and can install it on many different computers without creating a huge expense.

 ### 20. Premiere Elements Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle D. | Social Media Director, Warehousing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

What I love best about Adobe Premiere Elements is that really completes what I see as the trio of Adobe products: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere. Everything for me starts with Adobe Photoshop, fixing up the media files, in my case photos, and getting them ready for the next step which is creating the film or scene in Adobe After Effects, and once that's over with, I wrap up all my last final details in Adobe Premiere Elements, all my keyframe timing, any time stretch I needed to make, panning and zooming, adding music, and string clips together to make my finish product.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

Adobe Premiere Elements is not as powerful an editing tool like Adobe Premiere Pro, but it is a good tool for beginners none the less. It also does not have as many templates as Adobe After Effects does, but it still very workable. I do wish they would make the layering system a little more controllable, and make it so we can see more of the other layers instead of just on the first one.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Premiere Elements comes in where Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects can not, editing videos. It's a great tool and a few personal friends I have that make videos for sites like Youtube, in the beginning, use it as well because it really is the best tool for people wanting to get into a field that needs a video editing software.

 ### 21. Love this product. Easy to use and great results!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

It's far easier to use then PhotoShop. Elements can give you the same results, but is far more user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

I wish it was at a better price point for single users.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Editing photos, making trailers, bookmarks, etc.

 ### 22. Editing video

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica A. | Volunteer & Intern Coordinator, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

It’s pretty simple to cut and organize different video samples into one, or vice versa.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

It can take a bit of time getting used to the tools if unfamiliar with video editing tools.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Premiere to help edit photos for our YouTube Channel and for Training videos for volunteers and staff, and this has made it much easier to manipulate video material for consumption both by the public and for our own in-house staff.

 ### 23. Good but not Premiere Pro

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Artemus P. | Promotional Product Supplier | Art Director - Owner, Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

I love the cost of the software. I love that it still managed to keep it simple and gave more control than the older Premiere elemnts editions.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

I wish I had just a few more options that are available with Premiere Pro. Premiere Pro has so much more control and tools available than Elements does. I find myself trying to use shortcuts that are available on PRO but they don't work on elements.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

If the cost is your determining factor and you're not doing heavy editing then Premiere Elements will work for you just fine. But if you're doing some serious editing and need more control you should go with Premiere Pro CC instead. Just be aware that its by subscription only.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Premiere Elements for social media video posts. Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIN videos.

 ### 24. Good home movie editor at a reasonable price.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel H. | President, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

Features and performance at a good price. This makes a great step up for home and SMB use. It's got a lot of bang for the buck.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

Not as fast as some others and it is not always intuitive. But, there are a lot of online resources to help.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

A good step up. It's Premiere, but without the tools lighter users won't use anyway.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not used in current business. However, in my last role, I was able to create multiple training videos for end users. The reception was great.

 ### 25. How to star with Premiere

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chiara Z. | Collaboratore, Architecture & Planning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2018

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

The thing I like best is that with Premiere Elements you can easely learn how to use Premiere. This version lets you do lots of things even if it's not the Pro version. It's very useful for everyone who needs this kind of programs with an easy interface.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

I dislike the facts that some usefull tools are not available in this version, such as the subtitles tools. For all others things I think it's perfect.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

I recommend using Premiere Elements because it's perfect for a non-professional use and for making easy video with a simple interface.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Premiere ELements I can mix up videos for works to create a simple one

 ### 26. Tons of features and easy to use-- perfect for the average consumer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

Nearly every effect, edit, transition, etc., the average consumer would need to make is possible within Premiere Elements. Commonly used effects and transitions are very easy to access and insert without much effort. For a more advanced user, higher-level editing is possible-- such as time shifting and chroma-keying (although they do not offer as many adjustable parameters as those within more pro-oriented software).

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

The biggest sticking point I've noticed with Premiere Elements is the different views: Quick, eLive, Guided, and Expert. While I understand why the software is broken down into these different modes, I frequently field questions from users who re-open a previously saved project and then panic because the timeline layout unexpectedly looks completely different! Perhaps it shouldn't be as easy to change modes.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

While this seems like a basic consumer-level program, you will be surprised at some of its capabilities. Be sure to read the program's documentation to learn about all of them-- there were a few features I never imaged would be an option in this level of software, that were simply hidden nested within a few menus.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software is ideal for teaching others within my company (who are not trained AV engineers and have very little experience in this field) how to work with video they've recorded for various purposes (research, teaching, personal use, etc.). Nearly everyone quickly learns the basic functions without issue, and many continue exploring the software to find the more advanced features. Just about every need of the average consumer is met by this program.

 ### 27. A good alternative to the full product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

Premiere has much of the capabilities of Premiere, and costs a fraction of the price. While it wouldn't work for a full time video editor, Premiere covers all of my business's needs without the cost of the full program.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

There are moments where you run into the limitations of Elements--for example, it won't do CMYK color processing, which is frustrating. Also, you can't save large batches of pre-sets like you can in the full version, which would be a disadvantage in large batches of work.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

Make sure you look into which features are limited in using Premiere vs the full editor--while it's great for a small scale project or personal use, it could be frustrating over time to try and navigate the limitations when working on large batches of video.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Premiere to put together product videos for my Etsy store. I use the program to make sure my images look professional and clean and bright. The color manipulation is on par with the full version of Premiere, and it's what I most often use the program for.

 ### 28. Simple & Effective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corey H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

I love that you can view your timeline in expert mode, or something more simple like Quick. Sometimes it's nice to kick out simple projects quickly, and Quick mode helps you do just that.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

I don't like that you cannot easily set your own ratios. This is not isolated to Adobe, though. I have found this with almost any editor.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We create instruction videos for various aspects of our company and using Adobe Premiere Elements helps us turn them out fast while maintaining a professional quality at an affordable cost.

 ### 29. Easy Editing

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie N. | Owner, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

I like the fact that is affordable and gives you what you need without the gizmos that you don't need. Especially for beginners who are not looking to go pro and just wants the standard editing stuff.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

Not as many opportunities for advancement when it comes to learning new skills. I am looking to upgrade anyway.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

I would like to see a way to graduating to Pro like they add more features over time without having to buy the whole program. I would like to be like CC.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives a business an easy way of editing video without being overwhelming.

 ### 30. Elements A Must Have

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen L. | Substitute Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

Very user friendly. I was able to easily access the software to edit photos. From fixing the occasional red eye to restructuring image clarity. This software does the job. The way the menus are set up it is very easy to make changes.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

I did not like the no autosave feature.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been solving product key issues. Sometimes the software needs to be reinstalled and it is a pain to users.

 ### 31. Very preliminary program

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Writing and Editing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2018

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

It gets the job done. There are few bells and whistles, great for someone who is not really interested in video editing, but wants to stream together photos easily. Nothing fancy, great for slideshows and simple video clips.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

How basic it is. I want a lot more. There are things that are very difficult, like cutting a fraction of a second off a clip, it's hard to be precise. Also, it doesn't always support high resolution videos. Sometimes it will freeze up. And it takes a really long time to render the video or convert it to a different format.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

If you want to use it for basic projects, it will get the job done. If you are interested in really dynamic videos, go with a better program.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Again, it's a great simple solution. I was able to create videos showcasing various performances, and it worked OK as a marketing tool, however, as I got more into video production, I was forced to upgrade to Premier Pro which offers so much and is just a phenomenal program.

 ### 32. High Powered Video Editing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nancy M. | Marketing Manager, Industrial Automation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

Premiere Elements provides a very powerful suite of video editing, everything most casual video creators will need and the cost is extremely reasonable for the functionality that is included.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

It can be somewhat slow, depending on your system specs. An upgraded graphics card will definitely be an advantage, along with as much memory as you can reasonably manage.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

Download the trial version and try it out. If you're not used to using video editing software, watch some tutorials to figure out the basics, don't be afraid to play with different settings, transitions, etc. to see what you like.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Premiere Elements to create videos demonstrating crafting projects and techniques. It allows me to develop professional looking videos but at a much lower cost than a pro level video editing software package.

 ### 33. Easy to use with little training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Haley T. | Co-Founder/CMO, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

The ease of learning how to edit video! There are so many amazing training videos and resources to help learn as well

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

Uploading and organizing can be a bit of a hassle to manage.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to make videos on site.

 ### 34. Premiere Elements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Printing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2017

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

It's simple and enjoyable to use because the timeline is easier to work with than other software I've tried. The transitions work well and are easy to implement. I also like that I can export to multiple formats.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

I don't like that it doesn't support the new GoPro 4k 60fps. I would also like to be able to export to a blu-ray disc. More background music options would be beneficial in future upgrades.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to edit videos that I have had for many years and put them together in a nice format that others enjoy to watch.

 ### 35. Aptly Named...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew K. | Director of Sales & Service, Growth Spark Media, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2017

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

I LOVE the fact that all of the features included are the ones that are most widely used/needed. I have yet to run into a project for our church that I couldn't handle with elements. And I have the full version as well!

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

The only think I don't really like is the way text is added over video, it can be difficult to manage existing text and i usually have to delete and re type titles if there are issues with them.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

Worth every penny, if you want a quality video editor at a reasonable price go for elements, it also will help you build the goundwork of skills needed to one day move on to the full adobe premiere

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it for special videos right now, i.e. mother's day interviews, event recaps etc.

 ### 36. Does not inspire me to try Premiere Pro

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2017

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

I like that it's accessible to consumers.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

I hate that it does not inspire me to try Premiere Pro. My opinion is that lesser versions of quality products ought to give buyers a glimpse into what the pro edition is like. If this is a glimpse into pro, I'm not interested in pro. Elements is a pain.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

Don't let Premiere Elements dissuade you from Premiere Pro. It's infinitely better. It's not only better, it's almost like an entirely different company with a better vision for user experience designed it.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I tried helping a non profit implements Premiere Elements into their work.Premiere Pro is more user friendly in it's UI design!! Say what.

 ### 37. Good for basic editing, not so good for pros

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy L. | Media & Communications Manager, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2017

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

I like that Premiere Elements is easy to use for the average hobby video editor. It has a "Quick" mode, "Guided" mode, and "Expert" mode, making it easy to get used to the workflow, and work your way to slightly more advanced editing. Although I never used "Quick" or "Guided" mode, I appreciate this feature as useful for the beginning video editor who wants to scale up from iMovie or Windows Movie Maker.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

I only used Premiere Elements because at the time, it was the software my organization was willing to invest in (instead of the Creative Suite, which I now use). Since I was already an intermediate to advanced video editor, I never used the "Quick" or "Guided" modes, skipping right to "Expert" mode. My gripes were what you could expect of someone who knows their way around advanced editing but doesn't have all the tools to carry out all the functions in this software.

The absolute worst time-sucking thing I had to deal with was the lack of an audio-video sync feature. To the hobby editor who is using video and sound from the same source, no big deal - from there, editing is pretty smooth. But I was using video and audio from separate sources, and this software just can't handle that. On top of that, there was no way that I found to link the video with the new audio file once I synced them on the timeline. Sure, I could link or group the video and audio together, but once I cut into that clip, I would have to re-link every snippet with its audio all over again. To get around this, I had to match the video and audio manually, and then EXPORT that whole file, and re-import it into the session - for EVERY interview clip, which takes hours for single projects, working with high quality video files. I managed to deal with this and get through several projects in this manner because I had to, but I am so grateful to save so many hours now with Premiere Pro.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

If you expect only to do basic to intermediate editing with a video camera, or even video slideshows, this software is more than enough for your needs. But if you are a pro editor and need to be able to sync audio with video and use advanced editing tools, go straight to Premiere Pro.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The license my org purchased has now been transferred to another staff person who is an amateur video editor, while I now use Premiere Pro and the Creative Suite.

 ### 38. Adobe Premiere Elements is the Best Video Editing Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Milena S. | Director, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2017

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

Anyone can make video clips and post them on YouTube or Facebook page in a blink of an eye. The interface makes even complex pro features, such as motion tracking, seem easy. And its guided edits — signature interactive tutorials — ensure that no one gets lost.
You can create a quick, template-based movie with Video Story or Instant Movie, or choose from the Guided or Expert tabs that offer a variety of custom features. Premiere Elements makes newcomers to video editing feel at home.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

There is nothing I dislike with Premiere Elements.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

Premiere Elements is very friendly interface. It holds your hand by providing workflow hints that appear directly on the canvas. There's no confusion when the timeline contains a box that reads, "Drop Files Here," complete with an arrow. The app offers plenty of online instructional materials under the eLive tab too, but you probably won't need them immediately. Support for high-DPI (Windows) and Retina displays (Mac) means you can always see your content in full resolution.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Video editing.

 ### 39. A great taste of Premiere Pro, and helpful learning tool.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2016

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

It provides a great introduction to the world of clip based editing, while offering a taste of what Premiere Pro has to offer. Serves as a great introduction for junior level editors to get their feet wet.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

Lack of keyframing is missed. While geared toward a consumer/novice, the ability to specifically time events is missed.

The lack of subtitles is also unfortunate, while this can be faked by using title cards, it becomes cumbersome and time consuming if there are a lot of subtitles required.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

If you're familiar with more advanced editors (Vegas, Avid, etc.) then skip ahead directly to Premiere Pro.

If you're more comfortable with the likes of Windows Movie Maker or iMovie, elements will feel very familiar and comfortable.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great for giving non-editors a quick and easy way to edit footage down on their own, helps save the time of our professional editors by not having to devote time to non-essential projects or favors.

 ### 40. Great Editing Software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roberta J. | IT Administrative Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2016

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

It is very easy to use. If you do not know how to perform a task, the Help section really has everything you need; including pictures and step by step directions.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

If you have never used this type of editing software then it might seem a little difficult to use, but after completing a few projects the user should be good.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

You should definitely invest in this software. It is easy to use if you have some background knowledge with editing software. Try to buy a box edition of it to avoid the subscription fee.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our Communications Dept. and AV Dept. are able to edit video codes so they are playable on a variety of devices.

 ### 41. Video Editing for Indie Game Development

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2016

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

My favorite aspect of Premier is the interface. I'm familiar with Adobe's interface and find Premier intuitive and easy to use. It also benefits from having a strong online community which makes finding answers to questions easy. I haven't had any problems exporting to different file types and sizes and I find the number of transitions and effects more than meets my needs for the type of videos I'm editing.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

I have run into some performance issues from time to time with larger projects but I don't feel this is unexpected. In general I don't really have any complaints but I think if you were looking to do advanced editing you may find it lacks some features but I haven't run into this problem myself.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

For simple video editing I think Premiere is the easiest to use and very powerful. If you are doing more complex editing you are probably looking at something more advanced. For my needs, which includes editing game footage for tutorials and web trailers, the software is excellent.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the software mainly for editing recorded game footage to create game tutorials and make trailers for the web. I find the software more than meets my needs and is very easy to use.

 ### 42. Best video editing software for beginners

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandra L. | Graphic Designer, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2016

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

It is a very simple program, with satisfying results that can be achieved in a minimal amount of time. It accepts the most popular camera format files and video sizes out there. The import and editing features are very simple, and even though it has only basic tools you are still able to do some experiments things with it, like adding some video/audio effects, adding titles or shapes and incorporating video/audio transitions, but obviously, you don't get the complexity that other programs offer such as Premiere Pro or Final Cut X.

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

The limited features should be probably the no.1 con. Perhaps more tools could be included in newer versions.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

Give it a try if you want an easy/fast software for video editing

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is very easy to learn and to create videos, the final quality is pretty good.
Great for short homey videos and picture slide shows.

 ### 43. Cool but not perfect !

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Timothée S. | Design Intern, Machinery, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2016

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

Premiere Elements is a cool thing to start with video & sound work, I really liked its intuitivity and the fact it's a little bit like Photoshop but for other medias. That's kinda cool :)
I think Premiere Elements is the best solution to get something better than the free softwares like Imovie etc..

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

When you're used to work a lot with video & sound, you clearly feel the limits of this warm up software.
I am not using it for work because the Premiere Pro is much more complete.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

Switch up to Premiere Pro :)
Or if the price is important for you, you'll be fine with Elements, but let's face it, it's made for the editing of your cats videos (or children, or both...)

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I made my first videos with Premiere Elements back in the years; and my benefits were only personal, like getting to know a video editing software; trying to work with sounds etc.
It has the good basics but it's certainly not a revolution :)

 ### 44. is an excellent choice if you do not use photoshop

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandro B. | Auxiliaire d'enseignement, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2016

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

has many traditional tools like Adobe Premiere, its use is simple and intuitive, with premiere elements can learn the basics of video editing while practicing with enhanced tools is compatible with Mac and Windows you can make great video projects and different designs with this program

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

This software is thinking particularly of the needs of the casual user or amateur video editors, why not include 3D, 4K or multi-camera editing. The professional video editors might find the program too basic and poor in many large professional tools for video editing or major projects.

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

If you want to edit your home videos and do not know anything about how to do this, download Adobe Premiere Elements is the perfect choice. But even if you have prior knowledge, you will also be able to get a great game this simple and very educational program.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe has created an editor that meets the needs of novice and occasional amateur video. The handling is simple and, at the same time very instructive. At the enterprise level can perform simple editing video and is also optimal for work on university projects

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

- If you upgrade from an older version, interface changes dramatically making it challenging for users

**Recommendations to others considering Premiere Elements:**

This is actually a great product for the well-informed user, you will need some background, be willing to spend time to explore features before you get the most out of it.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Used video editor to refine data collected in experiments for a drug discovery and development project

**What do you like best about Premiere Elements?**

I like the very simple tools that help you edit video the simplest way possible

**What do you dislike about Premiere Elements?**

It gets a little bit useless if you want to edit video in an advanced way, I prefer to use the old final cut or even after effects in some points when i like to use more effects or add color correction.

**What problems is Premiere Elements solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mostly just use it to add sound and make short clips from tv spots and other material for social media.
