## Precursive Reviews
  ### 1. Quality product, expert guidance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan F. | Vice President of Customer Delivery, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Precursive is fully native to Salesforce, so everything lives in one place with no need to duplicate data or switch tools. The reporting and forecasting provide great visibility once configured, and the task/project templates help us standardize delivery while reducing admin time. The drag-and-drop boards are intuitive, and our team has seen real efficiency gains. Most importantly, the Precursive team is highly responsive and supportive, making onboarding and ongoing success smooth.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Some actions take too many clicks, the mobile experience is limited, and the external sharing isn't as inuitive as I'd like.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Precursive gives us a single, Salesforce-native system to manage projects, resources, and forecasting, which eliminates the need for spreadsheets and disconnected tools. It has reduced admin time, improved visibility into utilization and margins, and helped us standardize onboarding and delivery with templates. As a result, our team works more efficiently, has clearer insights for decision-making, and delivers a smoother experience to our customers.

  ### 2. feature rich software, with excellent support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** luke s. | Delivery Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

I manage a team of project managers and find the amount of data which can be handled within it to be very useful. Particularly the reporting functionality allows me to keep abreast of hundreds of active projects relatively easily.

I like how there are multiple levels of objects which are sensibly linked together, so I can always find relevant and related objects and data when needed.

the project planning tools work well, especially when properly configured with good automation and milestones

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

While reporting is good, I wish that I was able to show data from multiple objects at once. for instance at the project level and the board level

It can somtimes feel like there is more clicking around than necessary, although this may be a configuration issue, and our organisation has mitigated this with some UI changes.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

precursive allows me to view all my organisations active projects in one place. I can see an overview of them broken down by various different criteria, which allows me to direct my focus more effectively.

The amount of data which is held in precursive is huge, and so I can dig into any specific project quite quickly and understand and support my colleagues & reports as necessary

  ### 3. Responsive team and custom approach sets Precursive apart from competitors

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rocío B. | Product Manager - Professional Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

One key highlight is that since it's built directly in SFDC, it follows the same familiar UI/UX that makes it incredibly intuitive for existing Salesforce users. This eliminates the typical learning curve you'd face with standalone project management tools. The seamless transition from closed deals to project management is a game-changer (there's no gap between sales and delivery), which prevents the usual handoff issues. Compared to competitors, Precursive takes a much more custom and personal approach to implementation and support. Their team is exceptionally responsive and genuinely committed to your success, which you don't often see with larger, more generic solutions.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Being Salesforce-native is both a strength and limitation. While the integration is seamless, you do inherit some of Salesforce's constraints, particularly around reporting capabilities which can feel restrictive compared to specialized BI tools. The license restrictions around individual contributors (ICs) is something I would improve, which sometimes slows down workflow when you need quick edits from team members who don't have full editing permissions.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Precursive has been a real game-changer for our organization by solving several critical operational challenges. First, it eliminated the need for separate project management systems by bringing everything directly into Salesforce, creating a single source of truth for our entire business process. The built-in automations have significantly reduced manual effort across our project workflows, freeing up our team to focus on higher-value activities rather than administrative tasks.

One of the biggest benefits has been consolidating our time tracking: we no longer need separate tools since everything can be managed in the same platform where we're already working. This has dramatically improved adoption rates and data accuracy since our team isn't juggling multiple systems.

Perhaps most importantly, Precursive has improved our revenue tracking process and provided unprecedented visibility into key business metrics. The seamless flow from opportunity to project delivery to revenue recognition has eliminated the data gaps and manual reconciliation we used to struggle with between different systems, while giving leadership the visibility they need to drive strategic decisions.

  ### 4. Amazing Service and Amazing Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary G. | Supervisor of Analytics, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Im the system admin for our company and we've been using Precursive sin e 2019. It helps us streamline and visualize onboardings. Without this we would be using excel and missing key steps.

I've been able to connect with them many times when I have a question. Able to get support and Alex helped me solutionize some enhancements.

What I like most is the ease of use for our users. They dont need to think about much as the tasks drive attention where needed.

5/5 for all the support and functionality.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Reporting for me can take some time, not able to download their dashboard due to our IT security.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Onboarding, this is solely what we use this for

  ### 5. Implementation improvement!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven S. | Treasury Innovations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

We replaced our Outlook Task process with Precursive and have loved the experience. Our account manager has been effective, detailed, and supportive as we have grown with the application. The ease with which it sits in SFDC, allowing easy access and customer specific views have been amazing.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

We have not had any issues with using the service. We started with one offering and expanded to all our products.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Precursive allows us to automate workflows for project management, specifically with the implementation/onboarding of our customers. We use the client access, as well and multiple internal views and reporting to help manage our workload.

  ### 6. Great Customer Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Precursive is great for managing project tasks and for capturing time spent on tasks. The ongoing customer care and support post build and go-live has been outstanding.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

No specific dislikes to point out. The Precursive team continues to collect customer feedback and add new functionality.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Precursive enables our business to manage project tasks and documentation within Salesforce.com.

  ### 7. Precursive Review for Mitel PM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Czarmaine Q. | P, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

The Precursive boards are integrated with Tableau and Salesforce. It has been a great tool in helping us generate necessary reports to track our projects book to the bill. There are projects with outdated delay reasons, unconfirmed contracts, projected revenues, and more. Regularly updating the Precursive will allow project managers like me to be on track with their project's timeline and make sure that everyone is updated with the status of our projects. This will also decrease any possible risks and issues moving forward.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

At first, some tasks were time-consuming and seemed unnecessary, but I love the flexibility and regular improvement as they have removed those tasks. We were also required to add customers on the board before, and we were unable to fix it. Hence, we just needed to tell the customer to disregard the notification sent when we added them to the board, which could be annoying on the customer's end. Also, if the account does have multiple locations, we do not have a way o mirror the dates on same task, and it's time-consuming to add the start and end dates for all locations manually.

**Recommendations to others considering Precursive:**

Have patience in adding the dates as it will benefit you at the end. This way, you can easily track the progress of your projects.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Regularly updating the Precursive will allow project managers like me to be on track with their project's timeline and make sure that everyone is updated with the status of our projects. This will also decrease any possible risks and issues moving forward. Time management is vital to our success as project managers.

  ### 8. Project Management Made Efficient

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piyush W. | Head of Technical Consultancy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

The tool integrates with SalesForce, which we use as a repository for customer information. Easy collaboration with Sales and Support has made it efficient. The efficiency we look forward to planning the project and collaborating with technical teams easily is definitely at its best. Undoubtedly this has helped us thinking less about project management, more about improvements in different space.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Customer interaction could have been improved as there is always a need for customer communication; emails are ineffective when you want to keep details. Sharing read-only helps the customer to keep track, but adding comments would have helped in improving efficiency.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project Management has made easy, which has helped us get rid of unwanted excel sheets and other tools that were required to be used separately. We are leveraging our resources to manage the project is transparent and accessible, and we are focussing more on customer interaction.

  ### 9. Good in concept, but clunky

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenny N. | Implementation Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

I am pleasantly surprised that this tool has a pretty solid integration with SFDC. I've used many time tracking tools in the past, and they usually freeze up in SFDC.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

OBX boards are not a bidirectional sync with the timecard, which makes time tracking even more tedious. I thought our team training was not catered to our use case, so my team and I had to do a lot of self-learning in our own time.

**Recommendations to others considering Precursive:**

Always ensure you allow your consultants to pilot the tool first to see if they like the UI/UX.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We finally have data for how long our projects are consuming time! This is huge as we are growing our PS team. I definitely like knowing how much time I have spent at the end of the week, especially when I need to report on which accounts are taking up most of my time.

  ### 10. Organization Key to Success!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hogan D. | Launch Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

This tool is a huge help for organizing my projects. As a project manager, it is so helpful to have all required tasks in one place and a huge time saver when it comes to creating tickets for other teams.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Sometimes I have unique partners that don't fit the mold of my precursive board perfectly. It isn't hard to move tasks that are not needed but I wish there were templates for frequently added tasks

**Recommendations to others considering Precursive:**

I think this is a great product. I have even thought about going back to my previous company to tell them about the benefits because I think it is such a value add.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For sure organization, It helps significantly to ensure nothing is left behind. It is also a very easy way for leadership to track the progress of a project without the time commitment of meeting to review

  ### 11. Its the best project management tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aniruddha V. | S, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

The best thing about precursive is its functionality that allows us to manage tasks with easy drag and drop. Also, making this the most feasible solution for the user.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

The support team of precursive is not that good; Once we got stuck in some issue, it took almost 2-3 days to get the resolution. The support team is not available 24/7 and is available only in EST (Working Days).

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We entered the sales process for our products, and we're looking for a tool that could manage the marketing business flow. We researched a lot and found Precursive as the best tool for us. It helped us create tasks and manage them properly, assign tasks to team members and perform proper automations.

  ### 12. Helpful solution to organizing multiple projects with tasks & subtasks.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Great layout using lists and tasks showing progress at a quick glance.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Involved setup requiring lots of custom settings leading to a longer than expected implementation. Program also runs with some error messages even after setup.

**Recommendations to others considering Precursive:**

Ensure your requirements are clear and that testing is done before going to Production to ensure all expectations are met without bugs.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Precursive has allowed me to stay organized by keeping all projects in one place. It helps me visualize where my next priorities are.

  ### 13. Has Potential

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

I have visibility into PS schedules and commitments. It is embedded in Salesforce, where I spend most of my time, so no need to move between two platforms.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Not yet intuitive enough to pick up on the fly, especially as someone who wasn't part of the initial implementation/training. I'm not sure we have the full feature set, and there may be some obstacles purely due to how our teams are using the software so far. For example, we have four teams that touch the customer during the implementation process and other PS projects. The only notes in the systems are from our PS Ops team, but PS notes (the people performing the work with the customer) have notes scattered in email and chat; it would be best if all notes where maintained here, but it could get confused between them and the other teams that touch the customer during implementation and other PS projects.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accounting management for purchased PS time. We have a much easier time keeping track of and viewing how much time a customer has purchased and what has already been used.

  ### 14. Appreciate this tool for project managing; logging time against projects can be cumbersome

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

I used to use Trello to keep track of my projects and the tasks completed. I appreciate being able to use the precursive OBX boards to keep track of tasks and the timeline of projects. I'm a visual person and the UX for the boards has been nice.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

As an IC, I must log my time against specific tasks within each OBX board/project. Right now, that task feels quite cumbersome as there is no bi-directional sync between "My Precursive" and the OBX boards, which is important for my team. We have to log our external-facing time on each board/related task, and then also navigate to "My Precursive" to log our internal time. It is a lot of back and forth, which can be time-consuming. I understand this type of enhancement for precursive is on its way, so I am very much looking forward to that feature release. That will be a game-changer for my team.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team has visibility now to not only help with capacity planning/staffing but also leverage the data we capture from logging time and use that as a benchmark for how long it takes us to complete projects. My team will be able to use this data to help improve our processes and expand our team.

  ### 15. Task and time management works well. Need more bidirectional sync and connection to standard objects

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Management of tasks on the OBX boards is clear and easy to perform. I like that I am able to see all of the boards at once, so that I can reduce the amount of clicks needed to mark off work on multiple accounts.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

I should be able to write to OBX boards from my precursive timesheet. This would reduce the amount of back and forth needed to submit a time sheet. Currently this can add several hours of work to your week. Also, as we email customers back and forth, that activity should relate back to the time board. That way I don't need to remember the activities done that week. Precursive sees them related to the board and I can stamp the time spent on them.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Precursive gives me an idea of where I am with my projects. It allows us to see how much time is needed to staff customer projects. It has yet to provide an increase in performance, however. I need more connectivity to my email/ call activity and agility for this to truly give me time back in my day.

  ### 16. Fair project management tool if set up properly

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

The ease of use. It helps give me a visual of where I am at in a workflow process. It gives my team visibility into where my clients are at in their beginning lifecycle. I can write notes in the boxes as well to detail differences in standard workflows.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

It's standard and basic and best used for high-level tasks or processes. I am sure there's a way that this could be flushed out more by whoever is setting up the board otherwise, functionality is simple (which isn't a bad thing, but it doesn't allow for more intricate workflows).
Also, I'm not too fond of tasks defaulting to being out of order, I cannot put tasks in the order of when they need to be completed.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management. I stay more on track with my partners, who are all at different stages of their process. My managers and leadership have more visibility into where we're all at.

  ### 17. Great onboarding process automation tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Top of my "like list" is the ease in which new task templates can be created, edited and launched. Whilst some of the functionality within Precusrive does require Salesforce admin knowledge, it is simple to create new automated process flows and boards. The layout of boards is clean and easy to follow and Precusrive allows for 3 different board views, the board and plan views being 2 which really provide great and clear oversight of my projects.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Precursive can be slow to load within accounts and can their customer views could be better, specifically the look and feel and ability to have clients interact with boards. Precursive support team can be slow to respond to queries and do not always come back with the best responses but their help centre is great.

**Recommendations to others considering Precursive:**

Ensure that the statement of work created fully meets all of your requirements, there is little to no room for extra support from the team once agreed.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to Precursive we found salesforce clunky and cumbersome when it came to onboarding clients, specifically the process flows, triggers and tasks that we were able to create. Precursive saves our team on average 2 hours per day through the use of pre-defined tasks lists and automated board creation. On top of huge time savings, having a clear overview of all onboardings and projects in one place is invaluable. We can now log time against all tasks and projects, helping us to understand what tasks take time and where time savings can be made.

  ### 18. Effortlessly track time, to dos, resource availability and project budgets

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Repeatable services processes can be baked into task templates with time estimates. These time estimates automatically become potential time logs, projected project costs and reserved time on Precursive resource availability calendars. It's amazing how one record can provide so much business value!

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Precursive Plan view is fantastic - it gives me that "nirvana state" of being able to see who is available when and also to find people who can deliver unassigned work on a project. I wish I could easily add additional fields to be displayed on each row of data, like a List View, but I have to use a Custom Setting instead to make these types of changes.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to templatize repeatable services work to automate customer onboarding, make it easy for new hires to onboard, and even automate timesheets.

  ### 19. Interesting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

The upside is definitly the way it integrates with Salesforce, yet has a different look and feel from Salesforce. I've also found the supoort, when required, is very good.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

From an admin side, I find the licencing side very arduous and tricky to maintain...it would be nice of it was more transparent

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Precursive is essential in solving our reourcing of projects, as well as the easy to view and maintain the project through tasks and milestones.

  ### 20. Solid Project Management Tool to Sync with Salesforce

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

I like that you're able to link to the Salesforce account/opportunity and have visibility on the progress of a given Project. It's also highly customizable, allowing you to break down each Project into as many phases/tasks as you'd like.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

It feels a bit tedious in that there are a lot of clicks required to get from point A to B. For example, multiple clicks to create each new task, clicks to populate the date, stage, etc. Seems like there should be a way to streamline some of the workflows and make the user experience more efficient.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit is it helps with organization and keeping on top of multiple Projects simultaneously.
Precursive provides a high-level view onto next steps, deadlines, and statuses of each Project.

  ### 22. Very easy to keep track of where your deals are going

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marna S. | Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

I like that it emailes me in the morning so I can make sure everything looks great first thing when I check my email.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Nothing really honestly, its been super helpful

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have all of my deals and the progress they are in right in front of my email first thing I wake up. That automatically eliminates me searching through each account to find out whats going on.

  ### 23. Great onboarding tool & integration w/ SalesForce; OBX module for Project Mgmt needs Agile updates

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Precursive as a whole is a great tool for taking your Sales / customer details to the project-level and continuing the overall relationship/engagement management cycle. It has good customization depending on your org's needs and allows your various teams (Finance, Customer Success, Project Management, Delivery) to have visibility into what is needed from them. RCO is great for capacity monitoring but needs some updates to the UI eg: mass updates, dynamic capacity changes

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

The OBX module (can be separate or is included if you use PSX) , for Project management is a standard waterfall project mgmt tool and could benefit from agile PM UI updates. The overall precursive modules are a bit buggy, but the support team is quick to acknowledge and add to their backlog to resolve. Since this is a relatively new tool, this is to be expected, but it could go places

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Capacity management and time to onboarding clients/projects + profitability measurement.
It does allow an overall systems view , but needs internal employees with good SF coding knowledge to help make the most of the tool.

  ### 24. Great user friendly platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

My favorite feature of precusive is the task automatization feature. You are able to create tasks that are dependent upon each other. Once one task is complete the next task will appear in the queue for production to start working on, creating less micromanagement work for project managers and allowing the system to monitor the tedious task updates so we can be more productive and focus on other objectives.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

I wish the system allowed you to approve or reject creative within the board instead of having to click within the task and pull up another window to reject or approve. This would eliminate multiple clicks and save time for project managers.

**Recommendations to others considering Precursive:**

Stated above

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems - Solving client issues within their perspective boards with production.
Benefits - Being able to collaborate with production on items in one place where all information is housed and saved for future records.

  ### 25. Gets the job done

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marija I. | Director, Client Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Easy to setup, easy to use, works well with Salesforce and therefore made reporting easy for me as a manager

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

It's a little clunky because it lives inside Salesforce. It would be good for a small team with more simple needs but not as robust as other similar tools

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helped us to organize our customer implementation projects, and to easily see everything that is on the go

  ### 26. Good platform for revenue rec., allocation, health updates, and time tracking. Hard to customize.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Precursive is a one-stop shop for revenue recognition, project health updates, and time tracking. Dashboards are fairly simple to set up, and it's native integration with SF is a bonus.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

It requires someone full-time to properly manage. Someone technical needs to single-handedly own the platform in order to get the most out of it. Wish customization was much simpler.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Internal consultant allocation is the biggest problem Precursive solves. Then allocation directly integrates with time tracking sheets. Health updates to know when clients require attention is also a bonus.

  ### 27. Helpful Managing Projects!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

The ability to see outstanding tasks, progress made, and overview of all project boards. I just discovered the repeat task feature and that has been a tremendous help!

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

I have some features that I cannot see/edit in the preferred view I use, so I have to switch back and forth between views, which adds quite a few extra clicks.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking team capacity and managing projects. This allows our team to forecast and allocate projects fairly, giving customers a great experience when each member has capacity.

  ### 28. Great for our PS team's productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

We have a fast growing team and handle high volumes of projects. We've usually got 3-4 people per project and this tool helps us manage their capacity much more easily. I can see the margin and revenue associated with delivery in real-time which means I'm not waiting till the end of the month to make adjustments.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Nothing at the moment, support team is very responsive when we've had to use them which is rarely atm.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used spreadsheets and a timesheet app previously, so we had no forward view of availability, capacity or an accurate view of our revenue forecast. We previously couldn't really track costs or margins at project level, but only at a department level, so we have much more visibility now. The key metric we focus on is TTV, and we've reduced our av. delivery time by 45 days which is a great start!

  ### 29. Great tool for fast moving SaaS companies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex F. | Founder, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Single visibility of resourcing aligned with opportunity forecasts in the same system really drives business impact. I like the ability extend and customize the tool to look at project health and then integrate the data to our CS platform.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Being based on salesforce, sometimes the configuration can be cumbersome.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have much tighter alignment with mobilization and opportunity closure, reducing overrunning and improving margin.

  ### 30. Awesome tool for project management. Customizable for many different applications.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Customizability and ease of use. It allows you to tailor the software to your current processes.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Can take some time to set up initially, especially without any experience of using the software.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lacklustre onboarding process. Now it allows us to track most work and allows for much better reporting.

  ### 31. Project Management Made Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

The layering of tasks and sub tasks with checklists - all based on the module purchased in the sales process.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Honestly, nothing I have come across has made me think less of precursive.

**Recommendations to others considering Precursive:**

Utilize the OBX feature!!

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management with our implementation process.

  ### 32. Preliminary Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

The Customizable Dashboard features are great to work with.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Not many complaints. I don't feel that there is anything missing.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps to manage my daily provision of accounts. Also used for auditing for data integrity.

  ### 33. Kickoff Call Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandria M. | Imp, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

How natural Doug sounded during the training especially considering it was his first one!

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Take additional pauses throughout the training to ask questions & check-in with client

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

keep track of projects

  ### 34. Precursive one stop solution for your project management .

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isha O. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

The user interface and the integration with salesforce is what makes it the best tool. Its attractive UI and user friendly features are the best .

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

The package has some limitations at this moment such as the creation of taskfeed templates is a bit complex process.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the precursive boards for managing tasks efficiently which we used to do using excel earlier which was very complex but precursive made very efficient and smooth .

  ### 35. Precursive review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Easy and accurate way to track project hours

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Many steps to create bookings, needing to access the phase first

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project phases tracking and hours logged to the different project stages

  ### 36. The platform is a blessing and a curse.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Being built on Salesforce, the platform allows for multiple customizations to fit your business needs with a short time to turnaround requests.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

The fragility of the platform to break with limited guidance if there is any sign of data quality issues.

**Recommendations to others considering Precursive:**

Be certain to have a strong base of internal business procedures prior to implementation.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Revenue recognition based on time spent within deleivery. Project allocation, profitability and time tracking. General project health tracking.

  ### 37. Great Product and Great Product Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Great product that allows our team to not only manage projects and tasks but also resources for our Consulting Business. The ability to forecast resources, submit time and expenses, and do it all from Salesforce, in addition to creating projects directly from Opportunities has been invaluable! The support and leadership team are fantastic, and are exceptionally pro-active at releasing functionality. If you're running a PS business, you'll be hard pressed to find a more intuitive and wonderful product to do so.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

It may not be as robust as some other resource management tools.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staff Availability and Resourcing constraints
Billable Time
Profit Margins
Projecdt Management

  ### 38. Precursive and SES Pioneers

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Great team that constantly innovates to improve the product and provide new features.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

It is tied to the Salesforce platform only.

**Recommendations to others considering Precursive:**

Great tool, great people, great support.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been using Precursive for almost six years as part of our Order to Fulfillment Process and saved on costs by having the right project management tool to manage the implementation of our products worldwide.

  ### 39. not expert precursive user, but wish integration into salesforce was more straightforward

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

drag and drop/kanban view of tasks. templates are good and pretty easy to build

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

wish was more visibility for non-precursive users, sync to salesforce standard objects could be better

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

time management for technical solutions of onboarding of customers, visibility into ownership of tasks without utilising salesforce community

  ### 40. Precursive for Customer Onboarding and Professional Services Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julian H. | Director, Revenue Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Simplicity of templates to help standardise the customer onboarding experience.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Nothing we particularly find a problem. Works as expected !

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Make customer onboarding faster and easier for the client. Optimize our own resources to deliver customer value more effectively.

  ### 41. Good product with incorporated sets of data to easily work and analyse progress in projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Ease of using project templates once they are incorporated.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Product updates might make automated flows stop working

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The solutions team is organizsed via Precursive, allowing the team to visualise and organise their progress

  ### 42. Helpful tool and great support team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miloslav M. | Development & Analytics Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

The flexibility and the fact that there is always someone ready to come with advice on how to get done what you need to be done. The support team are great and respond very promptly to your request.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Things improved greatly since the Lightning update. Before then, there were a number of issues to do with reporting especially and with Precursive not being able to display the necessary details we needed for our reporting option. That is now much better although there are still certain legacy issues from when Precurisve was set up on the earlier system (i.e. displaying non billable activities...). Also when you are filling out your timesheet and there are a large number of rows , it takes quite a while to save and update - probably to do with the fact that it's an online tool.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's all about profitability of reports. We look at how much we costed jobs at the beginning and how many hours we actually spend and this informs our costing in the future. The aim is to become more profitable in the Operations teams. Reports compiled using Precursive data get a lot of traction within the company especially in the leadership team.

  ### 43. Great for scheduling Consultants

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

We are using precursive to match projects with consultants. We really had no capacity visualization to quickly make decisions before this. We are a small company, but growing quickly, and we needed a solution fast. We were able to get up and running within our Salesforce configuration within a reasonable time frame.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

There is not much basic automation within the tool. It is very vanilla. Automation was needed to be built around the tool to fit into our Salesforce configuration.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using this tool for assigning projects with people. We could no longer do this manually. We have a much better cost and capacity planning view now with Precursive.

  ### 44. Excellent tool for planning and analyzing resource costs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Debbie P. | Salesforce Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

Its easy to use, simple to configure in the background and you can get some amazing reports from the data across the bookings and resources used. The ability to add and update resources is really quick and fluid, the ability to set specific security controls within the app (which compliment the general role and profile security controls from the platform).

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

The schema on the classic version can sometimes be complicated when you are trying to create reports.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously resource planning was done on a master spreadsheet updated by one Project coordinator. Now each of the Project managers make a request for a resource, the resource manager manages that workflow into their teams and allocates resources, and the engineering resources can see in one simple view what their weeks work looks like. We have erradicated manual report creation and the use of any tool other than Precursive for booking resource. We have managed to bring together resource managers and Project managers into one place to easily accommodate those last minute changes to projects that happen, and now this whole process is cleaner, crisper and cheaper (from no wasted time).

  ### 45. Overall a good experience!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abinash A. | General Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

It is highly customizable and very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

There is a lag while saving reports which i don't like but overall its okay.

**Recommendations to others considering Precursive:**

You should definitely try it once

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it to track projects mainly. I also integrated this with our Salesforce account and it was really very helpful.

  ### 46. Helps us increase utilization and improve capacity planning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly C. | Product Imaginer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

We starting working with Precursive to help us improve our resource management and workforce planning. Previously we were in Google Sheets which worked to a point but didn't give us a proper forward view or any meaningful data. With Precursive we now have a resource scheduler that works well for our agile approach to planning and delivery. We can tailor both the scheduler and our project financial tracking to our business model and internal business language. This means it is really easy for our PMs and consultants to review project costs and margins in line with resourcing decisions. Being able to see the real-time impact of resourcing changes on margin is a huge step forward. Our Ops and Finance managers like the reporting and dashboards that they provide out-of-the-box - the ones on capacity and project margin/revenues are great - the fact that these are there when you start saved a lot of hassle for our staff.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

We are early in the process so not a lot right now - we've asked for some items to be added to their roadmap which they advised would be included in Q3. They are native to Lightning which means they can add stuff in quickly. Would like to see more on the AI side which they also have on their roadmap. Still can't get people to do their timesheets on time but compliance has gone up.

**Recommendations to others considering Precursive:**

Great team, great leadership; pleasure to work with. Feel heard & valued.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Better resource management and less stressed staff
- Workload equality across teams
- Mapped out our skills and technical certifications
- Improved utilization by 5% within 6 months of launch
- Reduced delays between closing deals and starting work by 1 week
- Saved 3 hours per on average on admin for T&E

  ### 47. Awesome PSA Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fred W. | DIRECTOR, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Precursive?**

We're a Salesforce SI that's fast growing and wanted a simple but functionally rich PSA tool - Precursive is Lightning native which is amazing from a technical architecture perspective as it enables our workflows and improves on them vs. us being dictated how to work, which is the approach used by other providers. We looked at other apps that are supposedly native to Salesforce but when we got under the hood weren't.

**What do you dislike about Precursive?**

Nothing yet. They have some validation rules that we've had to change but that was simple to do.

**Recommendations to others considering Precursive:**

Listen to their guidance on best practices to set up - check out their Agile Workforce research.

**What problems is Precursive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clear view of our plan vs actual margin.
The whole team has reduced their admin time.
A single view of all our projects in a granular way.
Helping our HR team plan for hiring by us mapping out skills and certifications for our team.
Timesheets on mobile is also AWESOME.

productivity, consistency across teams, project management and profitability
