"Glenville State University-Precoro Streamlines Purchasing"

What do you like best about Precoro?

I really appreciate how Precoro allows us to manage all purchasing functions in one centralized system. We no longer need Excel spreadsheets or manual processing, which has significantly streamlined our workflow.

Our Customer Service Manager, Anastasia, has been exceptional throughout this transition. She is extremely hands‑on and took the time to fully understand our existing processes so she could help us implement them effectively in Precoro. She is thorough, detail‑oriented, and consistently responds in a timely manner. Any questions or concerns we had were addressed quickly and completely. She provided comprehensive training materials and supported us through every step of the implementation.

The approval workflow is very user‑friendly, and the automatic signature feature has been a major improvement for efficiency and compliance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Precoro?

I wouldn’t say that I dislike anything about Precoro. It’s an excellent software platform that will significantly improve compliance, efficiency, and consistency across our purchasing processes. If anything, I do wish there were a bit more flexibility to customize certain header names to better align with each organization’s terminology. However, I’m confident that once our University becomes familiar with the new naming conventions, everything will work smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Precoro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Precoro is solving a wide range of issues we have been experiencing in our purchasing process. Currently, we rely on OneDrive to store final documents, track everything in Excel, and use SignNow to obtain signatures. This creates multiple extra steps—logging each request, uploading documents, manually adding email addresses and signature blocks, waiting for the signed version to return, and then downloading and saving it to the correct folder.

With Precoro, all of these steps are eliminated. The system automatically assigns each document a tracking number, logs it, routes it through the approval workflow, and stores the final approved version within the platform. Everything is centralized, consistent, and significantly more efficient.

Another major issue we face is the backlog of Purchase Orders, which creates delays for Accounts Payable and impacts timely invoice processing. Precoro resolves this by automatically generating the Purchase Order once the requisition is approved—meaning it only needs to be reviewed and finalized.

The budget tracking feature will also be a tremendous improvement. Precoro provides real‑time budget visibility, whereas our current state system updates on a delay. Right now, our budgets are often a month behind because we must wait for all transactions to process before we can pull updated reports. Precoro will allow departments to see accurate, up‑to‑date balances at any time, strengthening financial oversight and decision‑making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
