What problems is PowerSchool Schoology Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am solving the problem of parent communication with Schoology. As a parent myself, I can check on my child's progress whenever I want. What do you like best about PowerSchool Schoology Learning?

What do you dislike about PowerSchool Schoology Learning?

I am nervous about the future of the assessment management platform in the wake of the recent developments, but confident that Powerschool will bring the power of its Unified Solution to bear on the challenge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering PowerSchool Schoology Learning:

Use the Basic for a year and contact a Schoology Ambassador to help with implementation on the ground. This is an amazing platform, and definitely worth the investment, but some teachers may be hesitant to try an LMS. Given the iother options out there, though, this is the best on the market. The different types of assessment question components available.

Ability to customize instruction with individually assigning

Messaging and how it will come through to your email as well

What do you dislike about PowerSchool Schoology Learning?

Platform "Feels" dated w/ look (needs to be updated and more modern)

Amount of glitches with student completion, gradebook syncing with PowerSchool errors, and just in general, especially with the amount of downtime

Capabilities as an admin is limited with very little reports and customization of those reports

Grading and the ability to give feedback is almost nonexistent

Need the ability for templated courses/back-end things for admin to control or lock down

Recommendations to others considering PowerSchool Schoology Learning:

Overall, Schoology gets the job done. However, I have come from a cyber environment and can see the shortcomings of the product and where it can improve. If you want a way to deliver content to students, it does accomplish that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PowerSchool Schoology Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is a platform where teachers can have not just as an extension of their classroom but can be their entire virtual classroom. This allows them to create robust assignments and manage everything from the LMS. Because of this, it is getting teacher to re-think and re-design how they deliver content and materials to their students.

It also serves as the communication form between the school and families. It streamlines communication and where caretakers need to go to find information.

It is also the avenue used to carry out professional development. Colleagues and administrators rely on this is a the basis of their trainings or housing resources, making Schoology the one-stop-shop of where to go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are wanting to use a clear approach for all students and parents. I am currently working on solving problems of finding missed work in teacher's grade books. One way that I am doing this is to give clear and organized directions for teachers to set up their grading. This quick and proactive approach will allow missing assignments to be updated easily. What do you like best about PowerSchool Schoology Learning?

Schoology is by far the easiest Learning Management System to use and it keeps getting better. Schoology's competitors either lack features or are designed for college age students. Its integration with PowerSchool and ability to integrate with other productions like Google workspace, Office 365, and many educational software companies make it an easy choice. "Savior during the Pandemic"

What do you like best about PowerSchool Schoology Learning?

Before the pandemic, we were introducing Schoology use to small groups of teachers. It was gaining traction and teachers were starting to use it more and more. The expectation was for full implementation by the 20/21 school year. Well, we all know what happened and Schoology allowed our Technology Instructional Advisor team to implement asynchronous professional Development courses that teachers could take quickly and easily to navigate the new waters of Distance Learning. It was easy for teachers to quickly learn and create course work and students had no trouble adapting to the " New Normal" Thank you Schoology! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PowerSchool Schoology Learning?

"Distance Learning Made Easy"

What do you like best about PowerSchool Schoology Learning?

I love that my students and I can track their assignments in real time. I assign within Schoology, even using Google products, and my students receive and submit their assignments on one platform which makes things easy. We listened to our parents when they said that there were too many platforms for them to keep track of with e-learning so we, as a school, made the switch to Schoology.
