Ease of uploading and distributing policies to members of my agency. Keeps archival copies of polices no longer in effect making it easy to respond to Sunshine requests. What do you dislike about PowerDMS by NEOGOV? Could use some improvement on the highlighting function in the accreditation module. The reporting functions of the training module could use the addition of some user designed fields. For example in Missouri we need the Missouri POST number along with our Officers names. When we disseminate a new or updated policy, supervisors can view in real time who has or has not completed review. We used to have to send out sign-off sheets, and wait until they were returned. So far, haven't encountered any issues. As with all programs, there is a learning curve, but it's not too steep, and there are ample resources to guide the administrators through the process. We can electronically send out a policy for review in moments, and save having to make countless copies. Also, with the mobile app, our staff can review appropriate policies in the field. PowerDMS support team is truly supportive. The company is constantly trying to improve usability, create new functions to help agencies/companies, and has one of the most robust "How To" sections. PowerDMS integrated solutions for accreditation process, document management and training documentation. PowerDMS has allowed our agency to manage the accreditation process through a continuous review of our policies and practices. Through our frequent reviews, we have been able to identify deficiencies, that would otherwise not have been seen had it not been conducted pursuant to accreditation being managed through PowerDMS. Simplicity of uploading and editing policies for my agency. Ability to run reports. Ability to add videos and PowerPoint presentations to be viewed online and save me from having to have numerous classes and take people away from their jobs to attend the classes. It would also be nice if when I downloaded a document that it would recognize the name and save it as is instead of me having to go back and change the name of the document.
