Having a single source of data for tracking purposes is quite beneficial! **What do you dislike about PowerDMS by NEOGOV?** To be quite honest, the sole "negative" in my perspective is that the program occasionally times down when I am really performing a task, such as examining a paper. When you scroll down the page, it doesn't appear to register that you're doing so. That can be aggravating, but on the other hand, I completely understand the security implications of what is being done in this situation. **Recommendations to others considering PowerDMS by NEOGOV:** If you're searching for a product that's both adaptable and simple to use, this is the solution for you. **What problems is PowerDMS by NEOGOV solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our employees are always up-to-date and well-versed in the latest knowledge, so we never have to worry about that. When compared to the old-fashioned paper-and-folder technique, this has simplified and streamlined the process considerably. To put it mildly, that is priceless to us. ### 2. The search by "owner" is really helpful within an organization if you know who owns the documents. **What do you dislike about PowerDMS by NEOGOV?** The search function is not very user friendly and you still have to sort through many lines of text and documents to find exactly what you are looking for. A more advanced search feature would be helpful. **What problems is PowerDMS by NEOGOV solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem that it has solved is the ability to house all of our policies into one centralized location. Previously, each department had their own versions and locations of the documents and it was not readily available to the employee population as a whole. ### 4. It is as intuitive as it is powerful to share and visualize all documentation, in general, its dashboard. I like the performance we have been able to have for managing documents and having everything from contract formatting to training materials and manuals in one environment. **What do you dislike about PowerDMS by NEOGOV?** Some specific functions have a bit of a steep learning curve, and it takes a bit longer to learn and take advantage of them, but it is worth every second. **Recommendations to others considering PowerDMS by NEOGOV:** The most organized way to manage documents and put at staff's fingertips what they need, from training documents, manuals, and more, in the same environment and recommended for all types of companies/organizations. **What problems is PowerDMS by NEOGOV solving and how is that benefiting you?** A clear benefit is the savings in time and effort in locating specific documents thanks to its search engine and money by reducing paperwork and printing costs. We have not had any complications, and it has been helpful for ALL staff in general; they can access the documents concerning their functions and view their content within the same software. It is a document management solution that we enjoy taking advantage of and does not exceed our budget. ### 5. Within the software you can manage who reviews the policy/policies and when they manage them. If the appropriate people do not review the policy, reports are available for administrators to track which policies need to be reviewed. **What do you dislike about PowerDMS by NEOGOV?** There is nothing that I currently dislike. My organization is currently dealing with access issues due to a recent software update. **What problems is PowerDMS by NEOGOV solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use PowerDMS to store and manage organizational documents. Our organization has over 1,000 employees and this makes it easy for all to access. We set up reminders for the review of policies and set up workflows so the document goes to the appropriate person. The reports make it easy to manage the documents that are past due. The online chat is a great feature and the employees are wonderful. ### 9. I also like the report and/or assignment features that let you see who still needs to complete training. **What do you dislike about PowerDMS by NEOGOV?** There are certain functions, such as a simple print button for all employees to be able to print their own certificate history, that is not available. Our agency doesn't like the fact that supervisors can enroll their employees in training. **What problems is PowerDMS by NEOGOV solving and how is that benefiting you?** Organization. With manual filing, there were documents placed in the wrong folders. It was also more time-consuming to find requested documents. Record-keeping of policy sign off is a breeze, as well as ensuring we are meeting accreditation standards. ### 12. In addition the training, document dissemination, document revision and survey features are excellent for developing real time information that can be sued for informative decisions. The support staff is great! Missy Morales was attentive to our needs and was a great assistance in the on-boarding process. **What do you dislike about PowerDMS by NEOGOV?** On occasion we have issues related to the search feature. We placed a trouble ticket regarding it and they appear to be fixing the issue. It was something that developed later while we were using the system and cannot figure out what happened. Power DMS technicians are working to resolve the issue. **Recommendations to others considering PowerDMS by NEOGOV:** I highly recommend this for law enforcement accredited agencies. It is by far the best program for the need. Despite the CALEA requirement we were already looking at purchasing this program. Problem we had was the other vendor program was still being used and financially we could not afford the switch. We obtained a grant and were able to move quickly with the purchase. **What problems is PowerDMS by NEOGOV solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are developing a lot of policies and procedures suing the program. Our main focus is keeping up with the CALEA standards relating to law enforcement and this system is a fantastic tool for this purpose. ### 13. As most Law Enforcement agencies, we are under an increasingly tight budget.
