"Excellent movie editing software"
5/5
What do you like best about PowerDirector?

I like how robust it is. It can do so much more than the basic editing that I use it for. I use it for trimming, adding audio, transitions and animations and text overlays. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PowerDirector?

There was a bit of a learning curve. It does so much. I relied on 3rd party youtube videos to learn how to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good all round video editor."
5/5
What do you like best about PowerDirector?

I love the ability to save customized titles, and other video editing assets to use easily later.

I also love the ability to Pack a project all into one folder

Also, the fact that Cyberlink was the first if not one of the first to use native 64-bit code.

And also that you can nest projects inside of other projects.

I like the ability to use Hardware to speed up rendering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PowerDirector?

I don't like that it sometimes breaks compatibility with very old versions of projects sometimes going forward. Not recently old but 2 or three versions back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It came preloaded on my laptop, and boy am I glad it did!"
4/5
What do you like best about PowerDirector?

PowerDirector has an easy to use interface, and it's a "no-brainer" as far as what control goes where. I was editing a quality product in no-time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PowerDirector?

I couldn't find anything not to like, it suited my needs perfectly. I've edited videos for my clients and also for presentations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Feature Rich for Affordable Price"
4.5/5
What do you like best about PowerDirector?

First, I like they still have the option to purchase a license versus a subscription to keep my total costs down.

Second, they do offer pretty good support articles on their sites and are popular enough that you can search many more videos on youtube and such.

It's a bit less complex than the major video editors out there, adobe premier, etc, but really allows a lot of freedom over some like windows movie maker.

Overall it's a great option Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PowerDirector?

I get a new notification to purchase their subscription model every time I load it up. It's just a single pop up, but that ad is pretty annoying. Also, when rendering larger files, even with a fairly powerful PC, I will tend to lose the video preview in the video bar. Not a huge deal and I've never troubleshot the problem, but does make scrubbing through the file a tiny bit more challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A great software for the creation of videos and slideshows"
5/5
What do you like best about PowerDirector?

Cyberlink PowerDirector is a very flexible and robust video creator. Beginners can start the creation of videos and creation of slideshows. The structure of the software is very easy to use and it gives more output formats to the users. The software is cheap and it is a very creative software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PowerDirector?

The overall software experience is good. But the input format of .TS is not supported to the software. The team should implement a proper solution or an update for this issue. If the software supports multiple output formats, it is very useful and important to the users. "It has its quirks, but it works very well and is priced very well."
4/5
What do you like best about PowerDirector?

PowerDirector is my go-to video editing software for any quick edits I need done. It's just no-hassles, get 'er done fast, and look good doing it. I settled for PowerDirector years ago because it performs very well on even mediocre hardware. But even now with my i9 9900k, I find I'm returning to PowerDirector just because the workflow makes so much sense. It's a very good interface, and produces good results. The chromakey features are excellent, and multi-cam design is super easy and allows me to produce multi-cam video by simply tapping camera numbers on the number pad. Beautiful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PowerDirector?

Ultra-wide format and custom ratios are not supported. You get 4:3 or 16:9. This is the one problem that has me curious about other products right now. It is pretty common to crash as well, but auto-save and my constant CTRL-S makes recovery quick and simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Most efficient video editing software available"
5/5
What do you like best about PowerDirector?

Powerdirector is very easy to use. With its drag and drop function and constant library updates you have so many options to edit a video that you will look like a pro in no time. I would also recommend buying the 365 suite as it comes with PowerDirector and 3 additional programs that edit sound, photos and colours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PowerDirector?

The title effects could look a bit more updated. Some of them look a bit dated and would be more suited for 80s titles. The background selection could also have more options to choose from. I would also like it if there were an option to fade audio out on the program instead of having to switch to AudioDirector, editing it and then sending the file back to Powerdirector. "Intuitive and powerful video editing software"
4.5/5
What do you like best about PowerDirector?

The main upside of Powerdirector is the fact that it is easy to use, speedy and even offers a good numbers of tools to the user. I even appreciate the fact that this software is able to import, edit and export 4K videos. I love the video stabilization, which is better than other editing softwares considered more efficient than Powerdirector. The intuitive user interface makes it easy to manage files and edit in the way you prefer, even if you have not knowledge of video editing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PowerDirector?

The main problem of this software is that the “export video” section is quite limited, and not all the video format are available. Then I think that some effects could be improved, cause most of them are repetitive and too similar and can’t be used in a professional editing; their quality is quite low. "1 Crippling Flaw ruins the experience"
1.5/5
What do you like best about PowerDirector?

Easy to use, powerful and has great templates to make difficult processes easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PowerDirector?

The layers in the timeline are completely opposite to every other Image processing and video editing software in the world. The top layer in the timeline is actually optically the bottom layer when you watch the video. This massive flaw is enough to make recommending Power Director impossible for me. A simple option to flip them would be all that is needed to make this my "go-to" recommendation for video editing. Shame..... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
