Recommendations to others considering PowerDirector:
I think this would be a good product for someone who has more experience and wants a more "manual" experience of editing. It is not for someone who wants a more "automatic" experience or for someone who is just looking for ease of use.
I would recommend maybe starting out with a product that is a little more ready to go out of the box and that you have to spend less time working with to understand before jumping into PowerDirector. For those of you with more experience, this is a great option! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is PowerDirector solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the things I use Power Director for is to blur sensitive information such as patients' identifying features or license plates out of our photos before we publish. In my field, we are exposed to a lot of sensitive information. While we want to help inform the public, we also want to help protect those who are potentially expereincing a trajedy. PowerDirector allows us to do that fiarly quickly and painlessly, with many options and feautures for a one-time fee. As a public safety agency, we don't have a lot of resources to pour into extra stuff such as this, but PowerDirector aleviated that concern by being a cost-effective solution.
