It has a ton of different options for cutting videos, rotating them, etc. **What do you dislike about PowerDirector?** The only improvement I can think of is it would be great if it had more realistic filters, similar to a photo editor. **Recommendations to others considering PowerDirector:** Use all the available options. Always choose the highest quality output when saving a video. **What problems is PowerDirector solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have edited many different videos by using PowerDirector. I can add music and cut down videos. I can also change the format of the videos through this program. ### 2. It's a great value for the money. It does things and has features that a lot of similarly-priced editors do not. More importantly though, is that it's very easy to use. Programs like Premier are very feature rich, but can be intimidating. PowerDirector hits that sweet spot of feature-rich, lower-cost and easy to use. Finally, I take exception with subscription based models that Adobe and other software companies are using. I'd much prefer to pay once and use for as long as I'd like. **What do you dislike about PowerDirector?** There are always going to be things you wish were done easier in an editor. These issues are minor for me though. **Recommendations to others considering PowerDirector:** There are a lot of online comparisons. Check them out before making a decision. **What problems is PowerDirector solving and how is that benefiting you?** Using PowerDirector, I've made hundreds of product and demo videos for our company. In the beginning, we used entry level editors, and the quality wasn't great. Jumps and effects looked....entry level. By switching to PowerDirector, we were able to produce much more polished videos that our customers enjoy. ### 4. Their customer support is quite good, too! **What do you dislike about PowerDirector?** I wish they included more of their professional designs for free when you buy the program, rather than requiring you to buy extra extension packs. **Recommendations to others considering PowerDirector:** There are great videos out there to help you learn how to use Power Director, so don't give up! As experience grows, there is a wide range of extra features that can be used. **What do you dislike about PowerDirector?** The tools and help section could be a little more user friendly with descriptions of what each will do or how to accomplish a goal; however, their YouTube channel is pretty well developed. **Recommendations to others considering PowerDirector:** It is worth the investment if looking for an inexpensive software to begin producing marketing videos. **What problems is PowerDirector solving and how is that benefiting you?** This allows us to create and produce better videos and slideshows than we could with Microsoft Movie Maker. ### 7. It is very efficient for adding chapters and creating DVD layouts. It renders very quickly using available hardware (optional) when you don't modify the video with significant edits like noise reduction or color changes. **What do you dislike about PowerDirector?** When you force it to render video, it becomes much slower. The simple addition of a little noise reduction, or a small white balance change brings your previews to a crawl, and exporting or authoring a DVD takes a very, very long time. I prefer using Adobe Premier for cleaning up video and doing color correction to the clips, then I bring them into PowerDirector to assemble into final products. **Recommendations to others considering PowerDirector:** Use it in conjunction with something like Premier.
