## About Power BI Connector for Salesforce
Power BI Connector for Salesforce is a data integration software solution that enables organizations to connect Microsoft Power BI directly to Salesforce for analytics and reporting, without building or maintaining custom ETL pipelines or code-based integrations. The connector is installed as a managed app inside a Salesforce org via Salesforce AppExchange. Users create data sources within Salesforce by selecting objects, fields, and filters. Each data source is published as an OData feed with a generated Power Query script that is pasted into Power BI Desktop and reused across multiple reports. The product is designed for analytics, RevOps, and BI platform teams in mid-size and enterprise organizations where Salesforce is the system of record for sales and revenue data and Power BI is the primary reporting tool. Key features and capabilities: No data volume limits — supports large Salesforce datasets with full object-level extraction across standard and custom objects Incremental refresh — extracts only new and changed records on each refresh cycle, without full dataset reloads Custom object and relationship support — preserves cross-object relationships for accurate analytical modeling Schema resilience — adapts to Salesforce field and object changes, reducing report breakage over time Permission-aligned access — read-only access governed by existing Salesforce security and permission models

## Power BI Connector for Salesforce Reviews
  ### 1. Straightforward Salesforce-to-Power BI Data Sync with Powerful Incremental Refresh

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Serhii S. | Data Reporting Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Power BI Connector for Salesforce?**

I like how straightforward Power BI Connector for Salesforce makes getting Salesforce data into Power BI without requiring a separate ETL pipeline. Objects, fields, relationships, and filters can be configured directly in Salesforce before the data reaches Power BI, with SOQL available when more control is needed. Incremental refresh is particularly useful for larger datasets because it avoids repeatedly loading everything from scratch.

**What do you dislike about Power BI Connector for Salesforce?**

There is still some setup involved. Installation and permissions require Salesforce administration, and incremental refresh needs a few Power Query steps, including some handling of Salesforce date/time fields. That said, the documentation is clear and walks through the configuration well.

**What problems is Power BI Connector for Salesforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, it solves the main problem well: simplifying Salesforce-to-Power-BI integration while avoiding unnecessary data movement and custom integration code. The ability to scope data at the source and use incremental loading should make the connection much easier to manage as datasets grow.

  ### 2. More Control and Scalability for Salesforce Data in Power BI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roman B. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Power BI Connector for Salesforce?**

What stood out to us compared to Microsoft's standard connector is that this app runs directly within Salesforce rather than relying on an external service. Being able to define field selections and filters in Salesforce before the data reaches Power BI gives us more control over what gets exposed and used in reporting. It also helped us avoid some of the 2,000-row limitations we ran into with the built-in connector, particularly when working with larger datasets. Support for incremental refresh has been useful as our reporting needs have grown. We also appreciate that access is governed by existing Salesforce permissions, so there isn't another layer of user management to maintain. The ability to reuse prepared data sources across multiple reports has been a nice bonus as well.

**What do you dislike about Power BI Connector for Salesforce?**

you have to create and configure a data source inside Salesforce first, rather than just connecting and pulling; for simple tasks that's extra ceremony. The model is import-oriented data prep, not live DirectQuery, so it isn't suited to scenarios that need second-by-second freshness.

**What problems is Power BI Connector for Salesforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It bridges the gap between "Salesforce for running processes" and "Power BI for analysis": a controlled, repeatable way to export exactly the data you need without hitting report limits or pulling entire objects, with permissions inherited from Salesforce.

  ### 3. Powerful Salesforce Integration with Audit Logs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Capital Markets | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Power BI Connector for Salesforce?**

I like how easy it is to connect Salesforce to Power BI while still having the features needed for enterprise use.
Incremental refresh and the ability to apply filters when creating data sources help keep refreshes fast and efficient. I also really appreciate the audit logs - they make it easy to track activity, troubleshoot issues, and support our internal governance and compliance processes.

**What do you dislike about Power BI Connector for Salesforce?**

I don't have any major complaints. One enhancement I'd like to see is the ability to embed Power BI dashboards directly into Salesforce dashboards, not just within the connector. That would provide a more seamless experience for end users.

**What problems is Power BI Connector for Salesforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The connector makes it easy to bring Salesforce data into Power BI without building custom integrations. Features like incremental refresh and data source filters help keep reports fast and efficient, while the audit logs give us visibility into connector activity for troubleshooting, internal governance, and compliance. Overall, it saves time for both business users and IT while making Salesforce reporting much easier to manage.

  ### 4. Finally a Salesforce-Power BI setup that doesn't break every other week

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yuri K. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Power BI Connector for Salesforce?**

Setup took maybe half a day, including the connected app config.
The fact that data sources live in Salesforce rather than being scattered across Power BI files is a big deal for us.
Incremental refresh actually works on our larger Opportunity tables, which the native connector never handled well.

**What do you dislike about Power BI Connector for Salesforce?**

Nothing specific, all works as expected, we are happy with how it works.

**What problems is Power BI Connector for Salesforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were running a homemade pipeline for almost two years, and it was a constant headache - schema changes would break extracts, refreshes would hang, somebody on the data team always had to babysit it. Switched to this connector a few months back, and most of that noise just went away.

  ### 5. Simple Salesforce Data Connection That Stays Updated

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Power BI Connector for Salesforce?**

It is simple to use and saves us from building a separate data pipeline. We can connect the Salesforce data we need and keep it updated.

**What do you dislike about Power BI Connector for Salesforce?**

Getting started takes some admin involvement. After the initial configuration, though, everyday use is straightforward.

**What problems is Power BI Connector for Salesforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us avoid full data reloads, manual exports, and frequent integration fixes. This saves time and makes Power BI reporting more stable.
