Power BI Connector for Salesforce is a data integration software solution that enables organizations to connect Microsoft Power BI directly to Salesforce for analytics and reporting, without building or maintaining custom ETL pipelines or code-based integrations. The connector is installed as a managed app inside a Salesforce org via Salesforce AppExchange. Users create data sources within Salesforce by selecting objects, fields, and filters. Each data source is published as an OData feed with a generated Power Query script that is pasted into Power BI Desktop and reused across multiple reports. The product is designed for analytics, RevOps, and BI platform teams in mid-size and enterprise organizations where Salesforce is the system of record for sales and revenue data and Power BI is the primary reporting tool. Key features and capabilities: No data volume limits — supports large Salesforce datasets with full object-level extraction across standard and custom objects Incremental refresh — extracts only new and changed records on each refresh cycle, without full dataset reloads Custom object and relationship support — preserves cross-object relationships for accurate analytical modeling Schema resilience — adapts to Salesforce field and object changes, reducing report breakage over time Permission-aligned access — read-only access governed by existing Salesforce security and permission models
