"Statistical Analysis with Rstudio"
4/5
What do you like best about Posit Team?

Rstudio has an exceptional interface and a large community around it. It also has great tools for data visualization and software development. Rstudio also provides educational resources for academic and technical development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Posit Team?

Switching from an obsolete version to a newer one may be a pain given the fact that you have to re-download packages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I use Rstudio daily to analyze genomic data, run statistical analysis, generate visualization, etc."
5/5
What do you like best about Posit Team?

It makes using R much easier and enjoyable, with the four quadrants layout I have total control of what I need for performing my analysis and I know where to search for variables, files navigation, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Posit Team?

It crashes often when it's running some computationally intense calculation (running clustering and using tSNE or UMAP plots), there's no solution for using with Google Cloud Platform and running it in a cloud environment by launching through the command line. " The best IDE for R"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Posit Team?

What I like most about RStudio is how it makes working with R. super practical.

You have all the information of your R session distributed in the panels in a clear way, you will always have your variables, functions, graphs and Datasets in sight which helps a lot in my work.

The generation of reports is simple since it comes with an integrated Markdown editor and can be generated in other formats such as HTML or Shiny slides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Posit Team?

There are few things that dislike Rstudio, the processing speed is reduced a bit when using it, sometimes it can be inconvenient to have to update R and RStudio due to version incompatibilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best IDE for R Workflow"
4/5
What do you like best about Posit Team?

RStudio is an IDE packed with features for the R programmer. From a debugger to integrated documentation and easy package management. I particularly like how R Studio handles R Markdown files; it is pretty easy to create reproducible documents that are documented with Markdown. With RStudio I've become less dependent on google to search for documentation for R functionality. It is as easy as adding a ´?´ before the command name in R Studio console and the documentation for that function will display automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Posit Team?

I would like R Studio to have better collaborative features such as those found in databricks or IPython notebooks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Most of what you need for your analytical projects"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Posit Team?

RStudio provides a simple interface where it is easy to find what you need at the right moment. If you need to install a library package, or if you need to run a simple command on the terminal, look at your current variables, sort your datasets visually, look at your created graphs, everything is at the reach of your hand.

The shortcuts make the experience of programming a lot better as you can skip some nuisances pertaining to the language itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Posit Team?

The Export Image option in the Plots section doesn't always give the best results. Also, it lacks a default option of block code execution that other software, even if they use another programming language, have as core mechanic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Updated Coding platform for R"
4/5
What do you like best about Posit Team?

R Studio, the alternate version of the original "R" application, is definitely new and improved. Instead of having to look at separate windows and copy to run code, it is all in one place simultaneously, which makes every step just that much easier. I had started off using R, but once a professor of mine recommended I use Rstudio, I did not go back to R! Combining all the windows into one was a very necessary change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Posit Team?

Sometimes R studio can become a little funky when creating variables/adding new variables to an imported data set, which can be annoying. Also, I wish it was more optimized for excel when copying tables as well but that's just a personal minor issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Outstanding environment for statistical computation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Posit Team?

Rstudio is not only an incredible graphical interface for R language but it represents a complete (the most one) user and development environment. With Rstudio is very easy, for instance, to automatically import datasets and to navigate through source files and workspaces without write any line of code. Plus, it allows for a very efficient management of the generated plots and of the command flow. Eventually, Rstudio is a must-to-have tool for any R user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Posit Team?

It's very hard to find some cons about Rstudio. Maybe, some graphical components could be more visually appreciable with an icon restyling Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplify the process of updating a database"
5/5
What do you like best about Posit Team?

Knowing the R language and using RStudio allows you to manage data on database, giving the user all the statistical information needed, something especially useful when you’re evaluating historical data. We have used it for ourselves and it has helped us to save a lot of time and advance with our projects. There is only a low risk of losing your information as you’re able to save your codes. Last but not least, RStudio is an open source software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Posit Team?

When trying to view large database, sometimes the software doesn’t show all the fields and some information is missing I don't know exactly why this happens, but it's very annoying and it takes too much timeu. Also, I have encountered some bugs that made me return to the terminal and even if it doesn’t happen too often, it's annoying when it does. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
