Can we save our process if we don't save a project?

If I don't save a project while running a whole script, can I save my results instead of starting it all over again after restart my computer? R seems to have no memory.

What is the best way to run R code within a VBA routine?

The data that I work with often is coming out of Excel and for now, we run some VBA, then run some R, then run some VBA, and we would like to fully automate this process.
