PoolVerify
PoolVerify is a software-as-a-service platform for residential pool and spa safety inspections in California. The product is built around two California regulations. Business and Professions Code §7195 governs pool safety disclosure at the transfer of 1- to 4-unit residential property: when a property with a pool or spa is sold, the home inspector's report must note whether each of the seven safety features listed in Health and Safety Code §115922(a) is present. HSC §115922 requires at least two of those seven drowning-prevention features when a building permit is issued for new construction or remodeling of a residential pool or spa. SB 552, effective January 1, 2025, amended both statutes; PoolVerify maintains its templates against the current versions. PoolVerify is a responsive web application. It runs in any browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge) on iPad, iPhone, Android tablet, and desktop. There is no App Store or Play Store install. Inspectors sign in at poolverify.io and complete the inspection from any device. The inspection workflow includes a pre-configured BPC §7195 disclosure template, a pre-configured HSC §115922(a) seven-feature safety template, photo capture with up to five images per checklist item (automatic compression, timestamps, captions), ESIGN Act-compliant digital signature capture from inspector and client, and branded PDF report generation in under 30 seconds. Reports include embedded photos, signatures, compliance status, and a unique inspection identifier for retention. Inspection data is stored with 256-bit encryption at rest and in transit. Three subscription tiers map to operator size. Starter ($39/month annual or $49/month monthly) covers 25 inspections per month, 500 MB storage, BPC §7195 template, PDF reports, digital signatures, and analytics. Professional ($79/month annual or $99/month monthly) removes the inspection cap, includes 10 GB storage, custom checklist fields, scheduling, and read-only viewer roles for real estate agents and homeowners. Business ($159/month annual or $199/month monthly) extends Professional with unlimited team members, role-based permissions, 100 GB storage, and priority support. Annual billing applies a 20% discount across tiers. A 14-day free trial is available on all plans, includes up to 5 inspections, and requires a credit card to start. PoolVerify is used by pool service companies, independent pool inspectors, California real estate agents, pool contractors, property management companies, and home inspectors who add pool safety inspection as a separate service line. The product is California-specific and is not designed for general home inspection, commercial pool inspection, or pool inspections in other US states.
