  ### 3. A good framework with a poor community

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Polymer?**

Polymer is easy to use, has great documentation, and good tooling. It works well with the Dart programming language (although other frameworks are starting to as well). Polymer is easy to use with Google's Material Design language.

**What do you dislike about Polymer?**

Polymer doesn't have nearly the community support as other frameworks such as Vue and React. It lacks the Q&A history and community built tooling as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Polymer:**

If you have the resources necessary to support finding your way through the quirks and features of Polymer, then give it a try. If you need to do something fast, then I'd recommend a more popular framework.

**What problems is Polymer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rapid prototyping for business applications is difficult to do without a well known framework. Polymer got us up and running fast, but we didn't have the community like other frameworks do. Questions easy to find answers for with other frameworks, we had to find out ourselves with Polymer.
