What do you like best about Polly?

I love this app so much! My favorite aspect is that I get to engage with colleagues about important topics and find out their views and aspects on certain things in the company Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polly?

There is not much to dislike about this app to be honest and I say this a lot but I just wish we had a bit more hot topics y'know? Our Team loves those!! There are so many different topics that can be integrated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Abeeda Haroon of Polly

Thank you for the review Moriessa πŸ™ It's so exciting to know that Polly is helping with employee company alignment.

We just added 300 new Hot Takes this month 🀩

Let me know if you have any specific Hot Takes topics in mind, I'm in the middle of requirement gathering for new content so I would love to add the topics relevant for your company.

What do you like best about Polly?

Organic, product-led experience. Makes it super easy to start using via native slack experience. Super quick support response to help me setup recurring polls. And (so far) all for free! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polly?

Was a little annoyed to have to log into the web interface for setting up a recurring poll, but I know it's hard to find the balance between making the native slack experience super simple versus fully feature-rich. Ultimately, as I become a more advanced user, I'll probably get used to going into the Web App when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Abeeda Haroon of Polly

Thanks for the review πŸ™

You're right, for more "advance" features you're required to go into the web interface, the native experience becomes too cluttered for complex use cases due to Slack block kit specifications.

The great news is that for respondents, everything continue to happen within Slack!

"Great for finding group consensus in an informal way!"
5/5
What do you like best about Polly?

I like how easy it is to format and get group opinions on something; I've used it within the last week for the team to make guesses on a colleague's gender reveal, to decide on a department Halloween theme, and to choose an off-site location for a team lunch. I could also see application on a project, but the opportunity hasn't presented itself yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polly?

Takes up a little more real estate than I like with Slack integration! Have an option to minimalize extraneous messages or white space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Abeeda Haroon of Polly

Thanks for the review πŸ™ Really happy to know that Polly is helping you drive collaboration in your remote work setup.

Regarding your suggestion around design/UI improvements, I'm going to share it with the Design folks so they can explore this in depthπŸ’‘

"Polly is an amazing tool to use in the workplace!"
5/5
What do you like best about Polly?

My favorite aspect of Polly is the Slack integration. It allows me to easily send out the initial survey invite as well as reminders in my company's chat program of choice. Results can also be displayed directly in Slack, which is great for public Pollies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polly?

I do wish the reminders could be scheduled for a specific time, like how you can schedule emails or Slack messages. Or if you could target reminders to specific people, that would also be convenient. My team has some team channels and I usually send the Polly through there, but I don't necessarily need the whole team to have a secondary reminder. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Abeeda Haroon of Polly

Great to hear that our native Slack integration is working fantastically for your team engagement 🀩

Regarding your feedback on reminders, you're right, the current reminder functionality doesn't allow sending it on a specific date. But this sounds like a valid ask so I'm going to add this to the product feedback channel for the Product & Design folks to explore this further.

Additionally, the way reminders work is that if the polly is sent in a channel, the reminder will be shared in the channel. If it is sent as DM, the reminder will only go out to those who haven't responded. We don't want to bother teams with unnecessary reminders πŸ™‚

"A fun way to get the team's input"
4/5
What do you like best about Polly?

In a world where face-to-face communications are augmented by async chats in Slack, we can use more levity like that provided by Polly. Yes, it's a poll - but who doesn't like colorful parrots to add a touch of anthropomorphicness? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polly?

Polly defaults to non-anonymous responses. The person who asks is revealed by default also. It takes a bit of reading to figure out the other settings, so it's likely the first poll anyone makes with Polly is non-anonymous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Abeeda Haroon of Polly

Thank you for sharing the Polly love πŸ’™ Happy to hear that Polly lightens up your Slack 🀩

We offer lots of customisation settings so indeed, it takes a few pollys to get a hang of them! but updating the default to anonymous definitely sounds like an interesting idea worth exploring ....

"A tool for making collaboration extra fun"

What do you like best about Polly?

I like that Polly can be integrated in MS teams meetings and can be used for live surveys, gamification and asking for live ideas and feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polly?

I do not see any downside at the moment. It would be cool though if we can used with other software like outlook. Although outlook already has their own built in poll feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Challeging and inspiring career impacting insights"

What do you like best about Polly?

Polly nudges are well-thought-out action steps - rather than irritating canned statements.

Nowadays, there are too many distractions and inhibitors that cause work inefficiency and lack of clarity. These Polly nudges/ surveys and reminders are very well designed to meet you where you are- some are super basic foundational reminders, others are designed to motivate, inspire and challenge positive career growth and how to give back to your teams- I recent Polly nudge made me say, 'Wow, I didn't think of this team building concept/ idea' Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polly?

I don't have any dislikes with content or easy of use. One little pain point is when I confirm I either do, don't or will take action on a nudge...

I see that notice in Slack, which I use most. I click the answer with Polly via Slack, then I get an email with the same thing - asking me to do the same action steps. That is a bit of a time waste.

I understand what you are trying to accomplish- these actions do make sense, you are trying to cover bases and your API calls are automated (generating a Slack notice along with an email).

My suggestion would be to space the automation- most teams here at Expedia/Vrbo live in Slack- so nudging in Slack first- give it some time (like an hour) then push the emails.

With the email reminder- some simple statements like: "We are here to help you succeed! We've posted a nudging reminder in Slack, here's the reminder via email. We hope these career-impacting nudges help your career blossom."

Something like that- you all probably have content writers who can polish that up and use it as needed. :-) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Abeeda Haroon of Polly
