What do you like best about POEditor?

To be able to work with multiple people on a topic at the same time. But also being able to alert those who are not online about fuzzy things (my favorite button). :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about POEditor?

There wasn't anything I didn't like or had trouble using. Keep improving!

It is a very convenient platform for teamwork. It is possible to work efficiently both simultaneously and diachronically. Team members always answer our questions (sometimes a little late) but we always have the help we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is POEditor solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about POEditor?

We are a multinational construction management Saas startup (www.remato.com), launched mid-2018. We adopted POEditor from day one and have no regrets at all. We currently manage 19 languages, 2000+ unique words, and 40 000+ total strings. Both developers & product people have been and still are happy. The best feature for us is mass auto-translate. But overall decent user experience is also a definite plus. Customer support is also excellent - responsive and reacts with substance. Over the years, we have made a few suggestions regarding what the product is missing from our experience. And in all cases, POEditor has included our recommendations in their development pipeline. What do you dislike about POEditor?

What do you like best about POEditor?

POEditor has a helpful dashboard overview of all your ongoing projects. It sorts the different languages and even lets you create projects in other versions of the same language (like Norwegian Bokmål and Nynorsk). The sorting filters in the actual translation section come in handy to filter for not-yet-translated snippets. The ability to set one of your other translated languages as a baseline helps when there is no direct translation for some words or phrases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about POEditor?

In our company, we have a strict management policy and access level control which PoEditor enforces. This can be a good thing, but it also means you might have to ask your admin for help more often than you like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering POEditor:

Make sure to set up your project structure with your admin. The easier the setup, the quicker you find where you need to go and continue to work on your task. PoEditor is highly modifiable and very versatile. The fact that it works in a browser window and has an iPad app is fantastic! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We control language versions across our mobile and web app with four different languages supported. We can quickly assign translation work to employees in-house or outsource the task. What do you like best about POEditor?

Simple, no noise, and easy to use. We're using it very often to build cross-translations to our website/app/etc, and so far we're satisfied with it. One simple thing, and you guys have managed to rock at it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about POEditor?

Would be nice to have some kind of automatic translation or "translation suggestion" feature, that wasn't Google Translator, because it's super inaccurate. Other than that, its good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Regarding the Haitian Creole language, please note that we support this language. If you want it added to the project you're working on, you could contact the owner of the project and ask them to add it as a language to the project.

"Rollsoft using POeditor"

What do you like best about POEditor?

The process of changing the software, announcing this change to the translators, and following up who changed the trasnlation, is very convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about POEditor?

It is costly. Note they charge per language, including the main language (English).

There is no convenient way to say "don't translate these entries". I don't want to translate our internal operators screen, but there is no easy way to mark it.

Also, we didn't find an easy way to use it with our Wordpress WEB site. But it may be because we didn't check deep enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For strings you don't want translated, you could copy the source text to the translation box, proofread these "translations" and then lock them: https://poeditor.com/kb/proofreading-translations

This way, contributors without proofreading rights will not be able to edit these strings.

For WordPress website localization, we have a plugin: https://poeditor.com/help/how_to_localize_with_the_poeditor_wordpress_module

This plugin connects to your WP instance and lets you send strings to POEditor and bring them back your site.

"Super well designed and user friendly software to manage your localization files"

What do you like best about POEditor?

POEdtior is well designed and feelds modern and fun to use. It is a breeze to set up localization projects and involve other team members in the project. Integration with GitHub is great for importing the base file, and integrations with Slack is great for keeping the team in the loop when there are new terms to translate.
