## About POEditor
POEditor is a developer-friendly translation management system for teams who need a straightforward, scalable way to manage continuous localization. Operating since 2012 and trusted by over 4,000 global companies, it supports the full localization workflow — from string management and translation to review and export — with integrations into the tools developers already use. Accounts are self-serve, no onboarding call required. Teams can start managing strings within minutes. Used by developers, PMs, and content teams alike. • BENEFITS • 1\ Automated localization pipelines, without the complexity A core feature is the Workflows system: automated localization pipelines triggered by events such as new strings, language completion, scheduled runs, or Git-based updates. Workflows can include translation memory pre-filling, AI translation, QA checks, and export/import steps — covering the full continuous localization cycle without manual intervention. 2\ AI translation that stays in your control POEditor supports BYOK AI translation, letting teams connect their own LLM providers — OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Azure AI, Amazon Bedrock — via API key. You control the model, the prompt, the data, and the cost. No LLM lock-in, no LSP dependency. 3\ Human-in-the-loop review is built in AI-generated translations are reviewed and refined directly in the web-based editor, so automation and quality control work together rather than against each other. 4\ Pricing that makes sense Pricing is based on string volume and feature access, publicly listed, with a permanent free plan for smaller projects and OSI-approved open source software. No per-seat charges for translators. No sales call to find out what you're paying. • KEY FEATURES • - Git integrations with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Azure DevOps - AI translation via OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Azure AI and Amazon Bedrock, with custom prompt support - Automated Workflows — triggered by new strings, Git updates, schedules, or language completion - REST API available on all plans, including free - Unlimited contributor seats — no per-seat charges for translators - Translation memory, glossary management, and automated QA checks - Human-in-the-loop review built into the editor - Free for OSI-approved open source projects - No LSP or LLM lock-in - Full CI/CD support via API and Git integrations - AI Quality Evaluation (MQM framework) - Official POEditor MCP server POEditor Product Tour: https://poeditor.com/product\_tour/

## POEditor Reviews
 ### 1. Easy Management with Clear, Quick Stats Overview

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2026

**What do you like best about POEditor?**

It gives me control and a quick overview of the stats. It’s easy to manage, and it helps me align between product and developments.

**What do you dislike about POEditor?**

Adding users to a project isn’t as easy or straightforward as it should be.

**What problems is POEditor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Up until POEditor, our translation implementation was semi-manual and relied on a lot of configuration files. With POEditor, everything is much easier, and we don’t need to involve developers for the translation work.

 ### 2. Easy to use and friendly interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2024

**What do you like best about POEditor?**

I enjoy using the POEditor online interface - it'sI've been using POEditor for a while now, it's been a game-changer for our translation projects.

The interface is super easy to use. I can quickly jump between projects, add new terms, and keep an eye on everything without getting lost in a bunch of menus. The dashboard is clean and straightforward, which makes my life a lot easier.

One of the best things about POEditor is how well it handles teamwork. You can have multiple people working on translations at the same time without any issues. The role-based access is great, too. I can set different roles for translators, proofreaders, and project managers, so everyone knows what they need to do without stepping on each other’s toes.

We use the API integration – its a lifesaver, letting us automate a lot of the translation process. This saves us a ton of time and makes everything run more smoothly.

The reporting and analytics tools are really helpful. As an admin, I can see how many words have been translated, the completion rates, and how active the translators are. These insights help me keep our projects on track and ensure we meet our deadlines.

Customer support is top-notch. Whenever we’ve run into issues or had questions, the support team has been quick to respond and super helpful. They also have great documentation and tutorials, which are handy for getting new team members up to speed.

Overall, POEditor has been a fantastic tool for managing our translation projects. It’s user-friendly, great for teamwork, supports a wide range of file formats, and the customer service is excellent.
very clean and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about POEditor?**

Whilst I totally value the tool, it would be interesting to know what POEditor is planning around AI - I'm assuming there should be some way to speed up the whole process (even if not directly doing the translations). But so far I haven't come across any news or info about AI plans.

**What problems is POEditor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website and Mobile App Translation

 ### 3. Cool features, which are easy to access.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lorenzo L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2023

**What do you like best about POEditor?**

The API access is really cool. That feature makes it possible to fetch the translations with a tiny script in our project. We fetch all our translations exclusivly thru the API, because it enables an automated usage. We use it everytime we need to update our terms.
The support is also super helpful. I used once the online chatting and the response was very fast and easy to follow.

**What do you dislike about POEditor?**

For now I found nothing bad regarding POEditor. I'm very happy with that solution.

**What problems is POEditor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POEditor makes the I18n integration in our website and app very simple. The term-keys are consistent and the translations are well structured.

 ### 4. Does what it sets out to do very well!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2022

**What do you like best about POEditor?**

After using other tools to manage translations and convert between formats, POEditor was the service I didn't know I needed. It brings together many steps that I used to do manually, including machine translation, human translation and file manipulation in my projects and has saved me hours work of work. The ability to export in PO and MO files is useful for me, but I appreciate being able to export to and reimport from an Excel file, when working with less technically inclined team members.

In addition to all the regular features, I am greatly thankful for the API which has allowed me to script common actions in getting translations to and from our projects.

**What do you dislike about POEditor?**

Certain aspects of the navigation are less intuitive than I would like, and there are a couple of quirks with the API (like needing a 30 second delay between uploading POT files with terms), but none of these are dealbreakers.

**Recommendations to others considering POEditor:**

The free plan is generous and allows you to try every feature, so see if it works for you. I only went over the free quota when I added my 4th module, and was happy to pay to continue using it for subsequent modules and projects.

**What problems is POEditor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have several custom modules in a multilingual ecommerce project, and managing the translations was a lot of "busy work". Though a solid web interface and scripting operations using the API, all 5 modules can be submitted to POEditor, any new terms can be machine translated and reviewed by a human translator, and then downloaded back into the project as final translation files. It's removed all the friction points from the process, saving me hours per release.

 ### 5. Useful translation management with a good api

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2022

**What do you like best about POEditor?**

Hooking into Poeditors api allows us to make the process of translating the products we make really straightforward.

**What do you dislike about POEditor?**

It would be better if poeditor allowed more bulk management tools - too often i have to flick between languages to update one line for example

**What problems is POEditor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is managing the storage of translating dozens of products for us.

 ### 6. Very good tool for localization

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2022

**What do you like best about POEditor?**

For sure the amount of languages, it's very easy to get lots of translations in a short time.

**What do you dislike about POEditor?**

UI can be improved. The insertion of translations can be not straight forward for new users

**What problems is POEditor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Localization made easy

 ### 7. Good location management and translation management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephani Z. | Design Director, Apparel & Fashion, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2019

**What do you like best about POEditor?**

PoEditor is a simple tool to use, with a complete interface, with really flexible tools that adapt to each one of the administration and organization functions that you need to do. The translation functions have been an essential part of my work and these have been participants in our collaborative work in real time. The integrations of applications or web sites has greatly facilitated many functions, all this to have many of the necessary information organized on a single platform.

**What do you dislike about POEditor?**

We have explored and been participants in all the functions of PoEditor and each one of them allows us to work excellently, however, it is necessary to improve some translations, to be exact and precise, to adapt the language with which you want to work and to be able to perform a perfect translation job.

**Recommendations to others considering POEditor:**

Without a doubt, PoEditor has become a friendly tool, which in a simple way allows us to perform each of the functions we need. It is an excellent platform for the management and organization of work, in addition to the tool of collaborative translation that has been excellent with respect to all its functionality. I recommend this tool, easy to use, you do not have to be an expert to master it.

**What problems is POEditor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped us with each of the administration functions we have needed. In addition to the integration of applications and websites, we have been able to perform the complete translation service, with a complete administration that has allowed us to develop in the area in a more comfortable, flexible and fluid way. In addition to this we have saved time of work invested and we performed the work quickly and immediately thanks to its operation in real time.

 ### 8. Managment Software

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fernando M. | Técnico de soporte a usuarios, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2018

**What do you like best about POEditor?**

It is an excellent software, I used it to translate some applications that I had in the German language, and I think the translation was impeccable, just try the free version, do not go deep into the software

**What do you dislike about POEditor?**

The truth is that I used it very little and had almost no problems, the only drawback I found was that I had a doubt about the use of the application and the support team took a while to respond

**Recommendations to others considering POEditor:**

It's good software, the translations are correct, and it's done in a short period of time

**What problems is POEditor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I recommend it, the software translations I needed were impeccable

 ### 9. Offer multilingual support at (almost) zero cost

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrés S. | Director, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2018

**What do you like best about POEditor?**

From a programmer's perspective, its Github integration allows you to catch a thread and deploy your localization thread without struggle.

**What do you dislike about POEditor?**

It is not very intuitive for non-programmers, which could make it difficult for people working with more mainstream platforms, such as WordPress.

**Recommendations to others considering POEditor:**

Regardless of your background, get your IT or tech friend to help you with the installation.

**What problems is POEditor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not problems, just testing the software.

 ### 10. Translate software
