PodText is AI podcast transcription software that turns podcast episodes, audio files, and video recordings into searchable, timestamped text. It helps podcast listeners, creators, researchers, and students find information in recordings, revisit key moments, and export transcripts or subtitles. PODCAST, AUDIO, AND VIDEO TO TEXT Paste a supported Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Xiaoyuzhou, podcast.de, or public RSS link and select an episode to transcribe. Public iHeart episode links and accessible direct media URLs are also supported. Upload audio or video files up to 1 GB and 6 hours long. For YouTube videos and Shorts, PodText extracts publicly accessible captions when available. SEARCHABLE TRANSCRIPTS WITH PLAYBACK Transcribe speech in 99+ languages with automatic language detection or manual language selection. Read timestamped paragraphs, search within a transcript with highlighted matches, and click timestamps to jump to the matching moment. Synchronized playback highlights the current sentence so you can follow the recording as you read. AI SUMMARIES AND CHAPTERS Generate AI summaries, chapters, key points, and notable quotes after transcription. Jump from chapters and quotes to their corresponding playback positions to review the original context. TRANSCRIPT AND SUBTITLE EXPORTS Export transcripts as Markdown or TXT for notes and content workflows, or download SRT and VTT subtitle files for captioning. PRIVATE WORKSPACE Transcripts are private to each user's account and are not published as searchable public pages. Users can delete their transcription records and their account.
