The Pocket Scanner allows for a very quick and intuitive way to create PDF out of an image or by taking a picture of a document and simply editing the area that you want to be a PDF. Using a scanner to accomplish this is time consuming and not-so intuitive as various scanners have different software and programs, and is generally time-consuming. The organization within the app is solid as well, allowing for folders and a searchable system when there begins to be a lot of varying files for different projects.

There are some paywalls to get to advanced features, but the base package does contain a lot. Some of the features seem questionable in terms of what the app asks to have access to at the start once downloaded. I love how simple yet nice the applications design is. It is easy to find the camera button, and i love all the options available for coloring of the scanned document. Scanning apps are on the rise, and it is much more convenient than finding an actual scanner, which most people do not have in their house. Overall, i really enjoyed this application, however it can be a bit confusing navigating the app. Maybe instead of having many places to click for more options (like how there is some on the top and some on the bottom) have it all on one side such as the left side of the screen or all on the bottom. I dislike how the quality is sometimes impaired and that it can butcher signatures sometime and handwritten documents sometimes the handwriting does not appear. I love that the scanner auto-detects the edges of the pages, and how easy it makes it to scan multiple pages into a single PDF document. I LOVE the signature tool - I love how you can change the thickness and opacity of the pen so it looks like a real signature, and not a doodle on a snapchat photo. I didn't like how much was going on when I first opened the app. It seems like there's a LOT of bells and whistles for something that should be simple and elegant … I download a scanner app because I need to scan, edit, sign, and export images. I don't need a cloud, a newsfeed, any additional subscriptions. Also, for one of my scans the edge-detection didn't work, and I had to manually crop the image myself. Not a big deal because the crop tool is so good, but it was weird that it didn't work for the one photo. Also I would kind of like the scan to automatically be taken once the edges are detected and the photo is focused, without me having to click the button. It scans my documents easily and many at a time. I use it to download my documents as a PDF and I can print whatever I have scanned which saves me time instead of wasting time walking to a scanner machine which is why its perfect for busy people who need to get work done quickly.
