It's helped us upskill our team very effectively! **What do you dislike about Pluralsight?** Some. of the tests seem to test for knowledge outside the scope of the test itself and include things not in the training material. Tests can be retaken, so it is fine if it's seen as another learning tool, but can be pretty deflating to a developer. **What problems is Pluralsight solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our product was primarily PHP/monolithic and we wanted to move to Node.js and microservices. The way we work, we complete courses weekly over zoom and so one person drives. Ideally this should also update the zoom participants profiles so they can pick up where they left off if they want to retry something or move forward on their own. The labs are also too easy and do not translate to everyday work related usage of tools. They’ve even helped me learn other essentials like Python, Vim, Chef, etc. that are key in DevOps, but not necessarily cloud. **What do you dislike about Pluralsight?** I have had some technical difficulties that are taking a long time to resolve even after talking with support. Additionally due to the Linux Academy acquisition there are a good number of duplicate courses like Azure AZ-900 that simply existed on both platforms. I’m hoping ACG consolidated these courses together. Lastly, ACG currently focuses on the big 3 providers, which are AWS, Azure, and GCP; but I wish there was content on Oracle, IBM, and DigitalOcean, etc. that aren’t as big, yet still widely used. **Recommendations to others considering Pluralsight:** If you’re pursing cloud certifications from any of the big 3 providers: AWS, Azure, GCP. Then you should purchase an acloudguru membership. **What problems is Pluralsight solving and how is that benefiting you?** I’ve been able to cut the operational costs of AWS environments at my company. Another feature I like is the Skill IQs, which will allow the user to answer a set of questions, and suggest the proficiency the user already has on the topic, and even recommend courses based on the score - which is helpful for users 'who don't know what they don't know' The feature of 'interests' keeps giving new and updated content recommendations based on the skills you plan to learn, ensuring you don't miss some good, new stuff that's recently launched **What do you dislike about Pluralsight?** One major missing that other competitors have already leveraged is in browser coding or integrated environments where you can run the code as you type - Scrimba and Educative are two examples. It's rather a missing, since it's often hard to set up a development environment away from the learning platform and keep switching back and forth as you learn. While the content recommendations are interesting, they could be further improved to be more customized, not just to the skills the user wants to take, but to the user's preferred learning style as well - if the user prefers shorter content spurts to longer paths, if she/he is looking for a certification /exam, or if she/he's just in it to learn for a role. **What problems is Pluralsight solving and how is that benefiting you?** Pluralsight is more than just a library of video courses - it's a learning platform customizable to the users.
