The learning routes, platforms, and web pages make it easy to keep myself focused with such a large amount of material that is accessible. I enjoy being able to evaluate myself through the evaluation of abilities, too. Similar to many developers it offers me a reasonable understanding about where I am at. Through the appraisal of abilities I will spend my attention to when I intend to make its most progress. **What do you dislike about Pluralsight?** Most material is very out of date. Of course stuff will shift very easily with software. It inevitably makes it impossible for any iteration of anything to follow a different path. The more extreme cases of this will render fewer valuable classes. A 6-year-old jQuery concepts tutorial, for example, is definitely stretching things. Often the contrast between the learning pathways and particular lessons becomes impossible to predict. While I am an experienced cloud security professional, I have not used all of the possible AWS services related to security and the course was able to get me up to speed on those. The practice exams were very useful. Although some questions certainly repeated over multiple takes, it was a good way to gauge initial readiness and then practice taking the exam itself. **What do you dislike about Pluralsight?** Not really is dislike, but I felt that instead of revising the existing modules to update the information, some extra ones were tacked on to bring the module up to date. This mostly was an issue because I took extra time going through the old info and then needed to effectively go through the new stuff later. It was not a big deal, though. **Recommendations to others considering Pluralsight:** Be certain to use the practice exam functionality first to gauge your readiness to take the exam. Since some questions repeat in their question bank, this will be likely your only opportunity to take a completely fresh practice exam. You will be okay with taking the practice exams as you learn new material, with the caveat that you should not overestimate your level of progress if you get a lot of repeat questions in practice exams. I did not feel comfortable with the exam until I was able to get a 97% on the practice exam. **What problems is Pluralsight solving and how is that benefiting you?** I needed to get my AWS Security Specialist certification in a much more limited timeframe than recommended for study, and I was able to achieve this. The course I took was my primary means of achieving this goal (although I am already experienced with AWS security and also looked at white papers and other AWS training materials specifically related to the exam, as recommended). While I heartily suggest NOT trying to do this on a short timeframe (3 months study is recommended), clearly the material presented was sufficient and organized adequately to get the job done for me. ### 33. It brought some elaboration on subjects that I had forgotten about and more importantly showing me how to use new additions to the Java Language. I have taken a look at the other videos that it has. I plan on doing their "Paths" to learn various development technologies that I will apply later on in my career. . It uses a series of videos for each course, which is very helpful. In addition to the videos, there are many other job aides that can also be used. Finally, there are some interactive options that are also available in the form of labs to help solidify the learning. **What do you dislike about Pluralsight?** There was nothing really found in terms of dislike. From the feedback of users, some of the coursework, particularly around GCP can be a little more robust, and the labs can be improved to help provide a more realistic feel to the learning, but overall, it is a great tool. Our situation is a little bit unique in that we have an additional vendor that is used for cloud education, and because of this, we will have some mixed views among users, but overall, the labs was one of the biggest competition area. **Recommendations to others considering Pluralsight:** The A Cloud Guru team is very qualified in their technical learning space and also very helpful to users of their platform. There level of support has been great, and I would recommend anyone to check out all of their programs. Another thing that I would recommend is to use the ACG Introductory courses in Cloud systems, AWS, and GCP, as these are offered even if you don't have a license, which gives you the opportunity to try it before buying it. It is definitely a good opportunity. **What problems is Pluralsight solving and how is that benefiting you?** For my organization, we are using it to get our Technology department certified in AWS, and some in GCP as well.
