The system management is much better than it's competitors. I have been using a dedicated linux machine for production and our team member also require access to the system. If we change vhost settings though SSH, the changes are automatically reflected in the portal. But we find is much faster to configure our sites through Plesk than to use the SSL. Quite often the steps we find to accomplish something are entirely different on out version of Plesk and it's hard to find how to do the same thing in the same version. Another thing, due to mistake of another developer, some important files were deleted which caused PLESK and all our hosted sites to stop working. Luckily SSH access was still working and we got no support from Plesk saying that since the plesk cannot connect to the machine, they can't help us. Most of the details I disliked over the years were generally related either to features we didn't use or that were designed with a more broader scope in mind. Once I learned the intended use and understood the big picture it all made sense. I'm used to cPanel but when I started to check on Plesk I noticed it's the unique way when it comes to sites and how user-friendly Plesk's UI is. WordPress Tool kit has this check security that you may consider not to add security plugins. I guess this is best if you have multiple wp sites since it also has prebuilt settings that you can deploy at any time. That means less work if you have created lots of templates already. I'd say one of the top with Plesk is its security, you will find troubles along the way tho because of its own strictness, and for big organizations like banks or any site with high traffic for user transactions, definitely, Plesk is commendable. The price is a bit high compared to another host with the UI, Also, I hate the precedence systems of it when it comes to indented files, so if your cPanel/WHM guy you will for sure have lots of troubles. I've also tried another version of Plesk, but that was with Godaddy, The UI there has lots of troubles, mostly for mod security issues. We have used Plesk and virtual host manager for dedicated VMs where a client can manage email and web services using a single solution. It also features a firewall and a backup manager. I hate their lets encrypt built in integration because it never works. My site SSL is always going down, and I am always manually updating it. I tired to migrate the site and the Plesk support could not help me. The facebook community isnt very supportive sure there are docs online but none of those helped me either so if you are running amazon lightsail with plesk you are not getting the full experience. Using command lines are a pain in the but for me. I'd rather get a root canal. Even the online instructions on logging in or doing anything with the command line has changed so its not really about following along it is about googling until you can find someone else who had the same problem and solved it before you. I like that the software is quite flexible, licensing is dead straight forward, you can cluster multiple plesk instances to simplify management, their support is really good, integration with let's encrypt makes SSL certificates super easy. You can connect to backups using SSH so many devices are compatible. I found it a bit confusing in regards to hosting packages and customers etc. It's not super clear without testing what a customer will see when they login, this means lots of testing to make sure that they don't accidentally see another customers web host package. I have used their main competitor and found the interface to be very unintuitive, at least for the way we were using it. We were also working on sample/preview websites for customers and Plesk's easy to use interface meant we could setup wordpress under a domain hosting package within about 5-10 minutes (could be even quicker with scripts).
