What do you like best about Plerdy?
What I like best:
Implementation is made easy. Just follow the instructions and paste the provided code in your footer and you're ready to go.
The tracking dashboard is extensive and also syncs with Google Search Console. The analytics aspect of the software is extensive. The heatmap feature is especially useful, showing what items on site are most clicked and also how far any percentage of visitors scroll before leaving the site.
The popup function is very useful for leads collection, deals promos, feedbacks, surveys, and all in all a great alternative to various wordpress plugins.
SEO analysis is very good, giving detailed reports of what needs changing to rank better in search engines. I especially like how it keeps a month of SEO history, so that changes can be tracked as ranking changes.
Video recordings are also great. Being able to follow a users movement through our website gives great insight and is also quite fun. I recently discovered people trying over and over to click an image that isn't clickable, which I'd never think would be an issue, but it makes people impatient, as they scroll faster or leave the site. Making it clickable should eliminate that. That's just one example. Video function is also respecting the privacy of users, as it doesn't capture entered text by default (just showing text entered into fields as asterixes). It can be enabled however, but that will also require a whole ordeal with privacy policy updates and GDPR justification. But I like that it's possible.
They added a call function for booking one-on-one video support with their staff for free. Great support.
After setting up, I now use Plerdy all the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Plerdy?
There's a bit of a learning curve, since there is a plethora of functions. The onboarding tutorial is a little overwhelming, as it is a long checklist of things to do, but it doesn't really follow up or explain the functions properly. Integration can be a little challenging because of this.
The UI is a little dated, it could look more modern.
It takes some time before enough data is accumulated to use all the functions, especially if you have a site with low visitor count - the UX assistant gives this message "If you can't click a link in this list, it means there aren't enough user sessions to create a report for the time or device you picked." and it makes me wonder how many visits are required to use it. AFAIK the required visits numbers are not disclosed anywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
