## About Planview Release
Planview Release is an enterprise release management software solution that helps release managers, IT portfolio managers, and QA teams orchestrate and coordinate multi-team, multi-system software releases across the full software delivery lifecycle. It ingests data from planning tools, CI/CD pipelines, test environments, and ITSM systems to give every stakeholder a single, real-time view of release activity across the organization. Release is designed for organizations coordinating releases across multiple teams and interconnected systems, including release managers, IT portfolio managers, VPs and directors of engineering or DevOps, QA and environment managers, and IT service managers. It accommodates teams working under different methodologies, including Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, and waterfall, without requiring any team to change its own tools or process. Main capabilities include: • A Release Calendar and Release Schedule that provide one shared view of all release activity, blackout periods, and cross-release dependencies across the organization • Release Templates and Deployment Plans that standardize release steps, checklists, and deployment activities across teams, regardless of methodology • A System Impact Matrix and Insights Dashboard that surface cross-system dependencies and release exceptions, such as missed milestones or incomplete testing, before they become incidents • Build Data Analytics that connect CI/CD build quality data, including success rates, frequency, and duration, with release status to support go/no-go decisions • Automated governance and auditability, including automatic change request creation in ITSM tools, alongside DORA metrics and value stream flow metrics such as deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, and mean time to recover Release integrates with planning and portfolio tools, CI/CD pipelines, ITSM systems such as ServiceNow, CMDB tools, test management tools, and monitoring systems, normalizing release data from a heterogeneous toolchain into a single view.

Plutora is an inexpensive software to get the single source of information on environment management and release management. It helps resolve environment conflicts and enable management to have single source of truth.

**What do you dislike about Planview Release?**

The UI is not very appealing and graphics is not of optimal standard.
