## Planview AdaptiveWork Reviews
  ### 1. Strong for Cross-Platform Strategic Execution, Still Early Days

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

good for strategic execution across several platforms

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

nothing I can think of so far - but I have not applied it for very long

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

helping with workflow

  ### 2. Why we changed from Clarizen (Planview Adaptive Work) to Smartsheet

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karina Celli C. | Head of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I really like the dashboards and the system to register the hours spent in tasks, inside each project.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

The problem with Clarizen (Planview AdaptiveWork) is the price, and it is also not so easy to configure. There is not much material to learn how to use Clarizen, so we had to learn by ourselves.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The system to register the hours spent on tasks inside each project really helps us control project prices.

  ### 3. Generally fit for purpose but needs work

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Cloud based, collaboration capabilities without license requirements

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Slowness, customer support, clunky Project management

**Recommendations to others considering Planview AdaptiveWork:**

Do a proper tool evaluation and POC prior to deciding Its Project management features are very limited

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

capacity planning, project reporting

  ### 4. Great for projects of varying complexity

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Clarizen One works great as a reasonably flexible web-based project management tool. Our organization integrates this with other systems to provide a clear picture of our portfolio.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Some aspects of Clarizen can seem counterintuitive if you're too used to MS Project.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our organization relies heavily on multiple tools to generate reports for executive leadership. Clarizen integrates with multiple tools to provide a consolidated look into our project portfolio.

  ### 5. Clarizen One

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tad C. | Application Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I like the reporting features for project status out of One. While the maintenance of tasks can be tedious, it is very nice to see a consistent project status report template that all PM's can utilize.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Time entry can be very tedious. In addition, we haven't been able to get capacity management to work at all. I don't know if it's who we have managing the software or the software itself.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enterprise project tracking and status reporting. At one point we tried to utilize it for non-project related work items, but the workflow for those items was way too much for the effort of the item itself. This caused us to look into Clarizen Go, which is a much more agile piece of software than One.

  ### 6. Review of Clarizen One

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I really like the ability we have to customise the platform and the ability to add add-ons/packages to the platform to improve it. For the entire enterprise to use regardless of department.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I'm not a big fan of the user interface. There are too many options and settings on a single page at any given time. This can be confusing and off-putting for users. A simpler and cleaner user interface would make it easier and more enjoyable for user to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Planview AdaptiveWork:**

Improve stability. This is a cost-effective platform to use,

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recording time spent on each task and project (time sheeting), recording and requesting holidays and absence, project management and reporting, the ability to create and fine-grain projects using tasks & milestones and the ability to pull and display all of the data together in one easily accessible place.

  ### 7. Project Management

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Clarizen keeps all of our projects organized and on track. It is easy to see what clients need attention, who is assigned to the task, and what current status is. Clarizen allows the entire team to collaborate. It is very easy to make changes to the structure of the projects, either changing who owns the task and how many tasks there are in the project.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Clarizen periodically changes its format so the appearance is different, causing me to have to reset my viewing preferences- there are so many display settings, so it can be difficult to find what you are looking for. Additionally, it can be a little bit challenging to search for projects by typing in key words. There probably is a better way to do this that I am unfamiliar with.

**Recommendations to others considering Planview AdaptiveWork:**

Take some time getting to know Clarizen and setting it up to your liking. There are so many different display options to customize the platform for your needs. It can be a little bit overwhelming initially with all of the options, but once you find what works for you, Clarizen is extremely easy to navigate and use. As a project management software, Clarizen does that job.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Clarizen daily for project management purposes. Clarizen allows the efficient allocation of resources and the timely completion of projects. I always know what projects I have in my queue and what is coming down the pipeline.

  ### 8. Free Support from the Office Hours empowers Admin users

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julie M. | Operations Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Creating simple custom fields/calculations/validation rules/workflows is quite easy to execute.Taking advantage of the Office Hours for free consulting empowered me to create more complex calculated fields and workflows. Importing data is very easy and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Time Phased reporting is quite limited for Professional Services industry requirements.

**Recommendations to others considering Planview AdaptiveWork:**

Have a good understanding of your organization's reporting requirements to ensure it can be implemented either out-of-box or customized.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating some of the reporting has allowed management to have better visibility and real-time data into project health. Helps with decision making/strategic planning.

  ### 9. Using Clarizen as a Case Management Tool

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Clarizen has helped me and my project teams be able to manage and track different parts of our matters. It has features where we can "pool tasks" to help those who don't have bandwidth to complete particular tasks, call notes tracking, and submitting different types of tasks into the queue of other team members so we can have a more fluid workflow.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

The email feature of Clarizen is sometimes very delayed and sometimes being part of multiple groups/teams means that I get a lot of emails that don't necessarily pertain to me. Also, sometimes submitting tasks to different people's queue can get spotty.

**Recommendations to others considering Planview AdaptiveWork:**

Clarizen one is a good project management tool once you get the hang of how to use its different features. However the use must be consistent across the entire team for it to be effective. One feature to look out for is the email function as it tends to be spotty, but task pooling and submitting tasks to different members on the team is a great function!

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have had a problem with bandwidth in our industry, especially with the highs and lows of client work. However, through the task-pooling feature, we've been able to allotted help to teams who need it, and also provide help if I have free bandwidth. We have also been able to put certain items in team member's queue so we can let other people in the team know when we have an upcoming due date.

  ### 10. Clarizen, though glitchy, helps manage project tracking

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

It is very helpful to be able to get notifications straight to e-mail. It is also super convenient that you can respond to a post with a comment through e-mail directly (by replying).

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

The platform can be glitchy, resulting in tasks not submitting properly. Sometimes it will require me to enter a field that already has a value and it is very annoying to have to cancel the ticket, and resubmit.

**Recommendations to others considering Planview AdaptiveWork:**

Gets the job done, great for project management and very customizable.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project tracking is a huge help. I can go into any project and see how past tickets were submitted and handled. This keeps work consistent which is very important in this field.

  ### 11. Clarizen review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mureed I. | Owner, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I like that it focuses on assigning tasks to everyone else. I like that you can project manage on its platform without going onto other platforms. I like the timelines and the color coding.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I dislike the font. I dislike the plain user interface. The colors do not stand out and you do not know what is clickable and what is not. I also have a very hard time editing things. It seems very poorly programmed at some points.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

time management for assigning tasks is the highest priority.

  ### 12. Submitting Timesheets is Easy!

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

We switched from another system and the time reporting is so simple and easy. The tasks are there and you just record your hours. You can go back and add to it as well.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

It is tricky knowing how to see tasks based on their status. The training I had was not effective. But I could only attend the training that was non interactive. All training should be interactive so that you can perform the tasks with direction.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am increasing my productivity because I can go back and add time if I realize I forgot. With our old system I would just have to try to remember until the next week and many times I lost hours due to forgetting to add.

  ### 13. Good way to organize ongoing tasks

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Insight into past tasks, ability to track time logged to tasks, ability to set repeat tasks ahead of deadlines, ability to toggle between different dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I get lost with the many tasks, this may be a user error, but i do get lost in the platform. Also, not as intuitive on my end to set deadlines or be reminded of an upcoming tasks.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest issue was workload to various teams. This gives the ability into the needs of our dept, while also letting the lead of other Depts decide who is the best fit for a given task. I also think the Leads appreciate the insight into work times associated with different tasks.

  ### 14. Daily usage of clarizen

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I do like that there is a centralized place for everyone to comment on projects. Ideally it would make searching for feedback and history of what happened easier.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

It seems cluncky. There are too many places and views and options for figuring out what is going on. I think it is made to give people more options but it leads to confusion< i believe, and no one does it the same.

**Recommendations to others considering Planview AdaptiveWork:**

I have used other tools at other agencies that seems more simplified and easier to use.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are advertisers so it is out traffic and scheduling tool. The main benefit is seeing when things are supposed to be due and tracking feedback.

  ### 15. The Clarizen platform is very user friendly.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I love the all the quick actions and widgets. It makes things easy to get to. I like that most ares or vies are customize-able.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

The Help & Support area is not very helpful or updated. Seems to be lots of old information and it's not easy to navigate.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have solved the ability to report more efficiently. We are now able to forecast and budget properly.

  ### 16. Great project management tool to track efficiency of project timeline

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wireless | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I like that I am able to see all my projects at a glance and to know exactly how much time I've spent on every project.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Not all customer's like communicating via Clarizen so it can be hard sometimes getting everyone on board to use the platform.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking time and understanding what the project worth for future projects has been a benefit while using Clarizen

  ### 17. Okay, but not good

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ammar Y. | Industrial Engineering Leader, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Easy to use, good for project management, and overall visuals

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Not as robust and functional as the other top management tools.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multiple projects with varying deliverables.

  ### 18. Good tool, but complicated to use

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

There's the ability to really deep down in project tasks and verify different statistics and reports in detail

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Reporting is clunky, I understand depends from user permissions but is not easy to obtain the information I need related to only what I entered.
It's also not easy to remove a person associated to a task from all its subtasks in one single operation.
It does not have copy and paste functionality when entering a timesheet, so entering an error in a line means manual copying and then deleting.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Entering timesheets mostly and reporting on time usage.

  ### 19. Functional

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I can view based on what tasks are turned on for me.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

If someone comments in a document I don't get a notification.

**Recommendations to others considering Planview AdaptiveWork:**

Have several training sessions, I only got one and it took my awhile to figure out the world of Clarizen.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I always have to double/triple check old documents for comments as I update my work, because again I'm not notified when comments are left.

  ### 20. Perfectly fine

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Customizable to a degree, not perfect but works ok

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

user interface is not the most pleasing to look at

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

tracking projects across multiple offices/teams

  ### 21. Easy to get lost

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

The ability to tag individuals, and bring them into the conversation/projects

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

The project page layout is easy to get lost in. There are too many sections that accordion out, and it is is difficult to keep track of where everything is at and where the team has left off.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having our projects in one place is nice for tracking purposes.

  ### 22. Performs the task.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

It does the job! We seem to use the basic version, task/assignment and management.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Not intuitive. It seems mechanical in the way customers, milestones, and tasks are organized.

**Recommendations to others considering Planview AdaptiveWork:**

Have an in-house team dedicated to implementation

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assign tasks to other teams.

  ### 23. It's ok but not mind-blowing

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

It does what it needs to do and keeps everything in track

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

It looks old, it doesn't have a nice User interface

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management - it allows us to track things and see what has been done

  ### 24. Robust, but buggy

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Clarizen allows for multiple teams to work together seamlessly. The reporting, view settings, and filters are all keen to allowing the software to work across the company.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

It's buggy - we run into small (but impactful) bugs regularly and have some issues with how long each change can take to "save" upon a loaded task.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were working with teams that are both project-based and retainer-based, so we needed to find a way that both types of billing/time tracking would work across the business. The tool and its reporting features are so easy to customize (with the help of a rep) that it's allowed us to seamlessly incorporate bigger projects.

  ### 25. Gets the job done

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Clarizen settings allow for a dizzying set of powerful tool possibilities in workflows, validation rules, custom actions, field types, and data treatments. The tool itself is easy-to-use for the most part. I like the powerful views and reports features.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Module elements all look similar - it can be difficult to navigate when an Issue looks the same as a Request. There are no upfront or obvious versioning and history/change records: you have to build formula driven fields and workflow rules, custom actions. Issues and Requests are not directly relateable. Our instance is somewhat roped together in terms of architecture. License structure and access control is complicated.

**Recommendations to others considering Planview AdaptiveWork:**

Have a solid plan of design & purpose for the tool, and a hard set of requirements before talking to Clarizen. It's hard to build upon it later.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using Clarizen to gather the agency statement of work, establish project timelines for creative development, and to track the deliverables those projects generate. We've realized improvements to capacity forecasts and to on-time delivery of assets.

  ### 26. Useful tool - a little slow to load but very functional

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Great tool, use it daily to monitor profitability of our consulting projects. Report capabilities help tremendously with pricing retentions and, managing resource loads between my team.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

The program runs a little slowly. Loading data between pages is delayed and it though not detrimental to the functionality, you have to be patient.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing resource loads between teams and assigning projects to the correct resources. Also tracking profitability of projects - this aspect is extremely useful.

  ### 27. Just an OK product

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Clarizen keeps all of our marketing team informed on all project status' and provides the visibility we need into every project across the organization. It is also great for the history function and being able to go back and reference projects from years past.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Clarizen makes it very difficult to enter projects. It is extremely cumbersome to set up and activate a project, especially when projects are very detailed and lengthily like ours.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clarizen gives us visibility into projects and cuts back on the back and forth between project owners and the functional teams.

  ### 28. Clarizen review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Networking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Workitem structure, projects milestones and tasks all serve a different function and serve it well.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Workflow rules not always behaving the way we think before they are deployed. Intacct integration did not go well.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can easily communicate with people across other teams, causing less silos.

  ### 29. Clean interface for project management but UI could be improved

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Clarizen has a lot of great features for power users and its basic functionality is easy to understand and use.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

The user interface can feel cluttered, and I find that buttons are often not where you would expect them to be. Sometimes it feels like the site takes ages to load.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time tracking and reporting are quick and easy with Clarizen, and project plans with dependencies have allowed us to make on the fly adjustments easy.

  ### 30. Beginner Experience

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Resourcing
Emails remind people to update their projects

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Team leaders are not keeping their projects up to date, and the people on their teams are getting reminder emails for things they can't change

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Resourcing - people being overloaded

  ### 31. Endless Customization but difficult to use/learn

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I like that I am able to see how my task is related to a bigger project and the other dependencies that are related to the project. It helps with transparencies and eliminating silos. Clarizen is can be completely custom based on your needs, which is great for large companies where certain team members handle certain tasks/projects.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

It's very difficult to learn, there are a lot of buttons/clicks to get to where you need to go or to find certain things that are needed to complete your task. This could be because of how customized our instance is.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clarizen is helping us provide transparency across our marketing department and it allows stakeholders to see where there are bottlenecks and areas/processes we can change for the better.

Not as easy to navigate quickly. Too many views

Coordination across programs, standard templates / tools

  ### 34. Ok, software but there are better options out there

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2018

  ### 35. Review

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I think it is a great tool. I used it when working on a non profit. Kept us organized

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I think the layout could be more userfriendly

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves for enterprise level business organizational obstacles.

  ### 36. Unfriendly, overly busy interface, may be good for reports but not for user-friendliness

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** April M. | Audience Engagement Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2017

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

We use this at work for time sheets and it's easy to see weekly hours.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Not user friendly for the employee at least, should be able to easily see my own PTO usage etc, but not so.

**Recommendations to others considering Planview AdaptiveWork:**

See if there is a more user-friendly option otherwise be sure your administrator sets it up as simply as possible (we had too many job codes to start with and have slimmed them down).

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reporting and accounting for client-billable hours.

  ### 37. Clarizen enterprise PMO user

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2016

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Clarizen provided an intuitive portfolio view of all the projects in an organization. It was also easy to start new projects and collaborate with end users on projects and tasks.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

The change management and roll out was too long. Basic reporting took too long to roll out and it was not accompanied with any training and ultimately was not useful.

**Recommendations to others considering Planview AdaptiveWork:**

Make sure you have a clear rollout plan for the software and that you have a clear path for change management. Having an organization that is project focused or familiar with the process of project planning and task management would be most helpful ensure success. Ideally a phased rollout with a couple of projects selected to be walked through the use of clarizen would likely lead to more success.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problem was to get an enterprise portfolio view of all the projects in the organization. It did not receive these benefits and ultimately we made the decision to no longer use the software.

  ### 38. powerful and robust project management software

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2016

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

customizable features and powerful for large scale project management needs. really good for managing multiple projects and resources.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

built for the enterprise and hard to use for small, day-to-day projects, takes a while to on-board as it is not the most easy to use tool.

**Recommendations to others considering Planview AdaptiveWork:**

Obtain support for proper on-boarding to set your users up for success

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

managing multiple projects for work across internal and vendor teams.

  ### 39. Works for time card, not impressed with project management tools

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaarin H. | Information Architect, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2015

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

The timesheet works well. You are able to add your time and comments to a task easily. The app allows you to do this too. Percent complete on tasks is also useful, that that can only be done through the website.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

It doesn't give you the tools to really know what is going on in a project. I have timesheet only access, quick doesn't help. For instance, if 2 people are working on a task, and you assign both people to that task, things like percent complete, billable rates, etc don't work. You really have to duplicate the task and add one person to each duplicate. And if you mark a task 100% complete - there is no prompt to re-assign those hours! So if there are 8 unused hours from a task, and another task is 10 hours over - the admin has to notice that and re-distribute, there is not prompt.

**Recommendations to others considering Planview AdaptiveWork:**

I don't think I would

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a consultancy, so hours REALLY matter. We have to watch really closely that everyone on the team is spending the time they need to and no more, and on what tasks. And if a task is going to go over, where that time can be taken from.

  ### 40. Clarizen Review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff L. | Chief Operating Officer, Utilities, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2013

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

Very good project management solution, but fairly inflexible. The Product Portfolio features are extensive.

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

The budget and expenses area is a little overwhelming given the amount of detail needed. Definitely overkill for most non-software development projects.

**Recommendations to others considering Planview AdaptiveWork:**

Overkill for what we were trying to accomplish. Definitely cannot approach this thinking it will be easy to use.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were trying to find a cost-effective, easy-to-use project management solution for handing product management tasks. Realistically, it was more comprehensive than what our needs were. We ended up wasting a one year license.

  ### 41. Clarizen user to tack time as a Project Management

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris M. | Senior Sales Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2014

**What do you like best about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I like how easy it is to create a project plan from a template

**What do you dislike about Planview AdaptiveWork?**

I dislike the new interface. It seems to load much longer than previous versions.

**What problems is Planview AdaptiveWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem solved using Clarizen has been tracking time associated to a project. It provides better visibility in bandwidth if projects are properly tracked.
