The mobile vs website are both excellent UI's and our team scheduling and event time management abilities are incredible. The integration with other planning center family products is also a huge plus. I uses services in connection with people and with Calendar and Registrations to help streamline my organizations events. **What do you dislike about Planning Center Services?** Sometimes the mobile app can get buggy and you have to log out and log back in but overall it's a great experience. There's also a little bit of a learning curve initially for my volunteer teams. I've found having a training for new volunteers is essential. I've found having an onboarding training for team members to be helpful. **Recommendations to others considering Planning Center Services:** Best advice would be to buy into the entire family of products. They work best together. Plan a solid team training and spend plenty of time with the software before introducing it to your team. They have created online tutorials to help guide you in discovering the best tools to use, but I had to learn it over time. Once I got the hang of it, it was such a huge tool we used to build our volunteer teams. I am able schedule services and people months in advance, print out every song I need, customize uploaded songs to fit the key that we are playing it in. Cloud-based, you can share planning responsibilities with many people, none of whom need to be in the office -- which is the way churches work. Volunteers can plan, share resources, see their role, sign up for participation, and coordinate service elements. Musicians can find the resources they need for preparation. Preachers can share their topics and scriptures and other resources with everyone involved in planning. Just on the scheduling people side, you can organize people by tags, which may be by which teams they are on, which positions they occupy on those teams, location, and anything else you can think of. Scheduling is very easy, with capabilities to view a single event and schedule people for only that event, view a series of events on a matrix, with the ability to drag people from one event to another, or even to set up recurring patterns in order to automate your workload. PCO will then prepare an automated email, which you can review before sending a notification to your volunteer/ other scheduled person. **What do you dislike about Planning Center Services?** Without some kind of tutorial, which PCO does provide, and even sometimes with those tutorials, it can be very confusing sifting through all the details, tags, and other minutiae that is the PCO format. **Recommendations to others considering Planning Center Services:** Planning Center Services can be a powerful tool for scheduling, like I do, but it can also integrate many other aspects of church ministry, as that is its primary function. Administrating signing in for attenders of events, notifying parents of things happening in children's ministry, file delivery, stage plots, music practice tools, it has a multitude of tools that can be extremely useful if you put in the time to learn it. **What problems is Planning Center Services solving and how is that benefiting you?** PCO makes it easy to make sure that events are staffed adequately, and allow for volunteers to prepare for a service or event by checking a schedule and viewing an order of events. ### 17. Several of us can work on it together at the same time and those performing can see all the updates and access the rehearsal resources in real time. **What do you dislike about Planning Center Services?** It would be great for the administrator to have the option to mark some fields to be a required entry based on user. Like updating a sequence when a song was added. It would also be good to lock some areas. We've had a lot of leaders come and go and with them, they make changes to the in-program song sheets. The originals sometimes can be lost forever if they don't take time to properly add files. The only way to use text communication requires you know someone's carrier. We are a church of about 500 with several different ministries and services campus wide. Planning Center Services allows us to stay up to date with all of our Serve Team members and helps them to stay up to date and in the know with what to expect at each service. Scheduling people has never been easier. And, all of our members use the Planning Center Services App and LOVE it! It makes life so easy and help filter out questions on what to expect for services and events and who's doing what. It clears up any muddy water! **What do you dislike about Planning Center Services?** The only, and I mean ONLY, con to Planning Center Services is the permissions each person has. I would love to see an update where I can change not just permissions, but change in detail what each person could see and do. Like, I have some staff members who need to be able to do certain things, but they don't need to see every plan. But, there's not a "Permission" where I can pick and choose what they do or see. There's just blanket permissions that you can choose. Who was singing what songs. what songs were in what key. Etc. Planning Center Services alleviates ALL of that. There is no more question now. People log into the app or on the computer and can see every file for every song and details for who is singing and doing what. It has made our organization SO much better organized! ### 22. Organizers can also add an Order of Service so that volunteers are aware of the schedule for the day. Media files and YouTube videos can be added for the worship team's songs. Volunteers are able to customize their preferences (how often they want to be scheduled) and also add blackout dates for dates that they are unable to volunteer. **What do you dislike about Planning Center Services?** I cannot think of anything I dislike about the app. I have been using it for about 3 years and it works great! The app does what it is supposed to do and rarely crashes. You’re not able to easily link songs or start new service matrixes or schedule/email teams. If a customer has any ideas or issues with the product, all they have to do is submit a feature request/bug fix request, and the company will get back to them and do what they can to make the platform operate better. The entire package offered by planning center is incredible; however the most crucial & beneficial part of said package would have to be their Planning Center Services app. The Planning Center Services app is an intuitive, powerful, and extremely useful platform for planning any kind of event - be it a church service, a youth games night, a wedding - featuring many important tools such as creating timelines of the event (with as much detail as you want); setting the event start time (or start times, if you have multiple services); setting pre-service meeting times or practice times and tagging individual teams/individuals to each individual time. Most importantly however, is Planning Centers ability to schedule people; and it's efficiency in doing so. Gone are the days of texting volunteers and trying to discern who is available at what time for what event on which day all on your own - now, with Planning Center; you can simply add them into PC, add their email or phone number, schedule them to a specific position at a specific event, and send them an email requesting them to serve - which they can then accept or decline. Furthermore, you can set it to send reminder emails for those who may be forgetful. On top of all this, planning center services offers an easy to use integration with the rest of Planning Centers offerings; and features a simple "People" tab where you can see all your volunteers & their information; a "song" tab where you can connect your PC account to Songselect and automatically import your songs (and schedule them to an event); and other amazing admin features such as controlling what each individual user can see when they login to planning center. All in all, this is a must have app for churches everywhere, and is very much worth the money you would spend on it! **What do you dislike about Planning Center Services?** While Planning Center Services is extremely powerful and intuitive; it can take some time to get use to the user interface and to properly understand how to interact and setup services. Once you have a grasp on it's capabilities; it becomes extremely easy to use and intuitive for setup - there just is a bit of a learning curve that will take the average person a bit of time to figure out. The only thing that's been challenging is "help" articles are often outdated since they update so often and the only way to get help is to email. It's not too hard to get used to and the help that is offered virtually is very impressive. The only app we don't use is the tithing one, and the reasons for why are beyond my knowledge. It was attempted, I know.
