People give us a location to organize all of our volunteers and attendees in one place. We can input all the information that we can retrieve from those willing to share it. Then whether we need that info for services or check-ins it is there are ready. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I wish there was a way for mass messaging from the People software for events or anything else needed. Also, a better way of customizing reports throughout the Planning Center software would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The amazingly friendly user interface. You literally could have never used a computer before and could still easily navigate your way through Planning Center People. I also really like that it's set up to go to my dashboard right off the bat. I love that it easily builds my people over into its other applications as well. It is easy to navigate and call or email people through. I like the workspace and the ability for people to fill out forms that then can add tasks to a staff member's tasklist. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It does not link cleanly with the other platforms like groups, registration, and such. When I put in a form linked to a registration event, it does not connect to the people database. It often creates duplicates not registering that the person already exists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's free, and it integrates seamlessly with all the other Planning Center apps. But it is also a great app in its own right. You can create lists based on different criteria to find specific people or groups. We also like workflows to ensure every person goes through the same process (for example, we make a phone call to new visitors and schedule a visit the week after they come). PC's way of handling duplicates. It basically creates a new contact unless first name, last name, and email are exactly the same. It is a problem for us because in Colombia, many people have two names (and everyone has 2 last names), so when they submit a form, they can choose between many different (but valid) combinations. For example, a guy could enter "Carlos Guzmán", "Carlos Andrés Guzmán", or "Andrés Guzmán" (if he wrote his second last name, you'd have other 3 options) in a form and Planning Center will always create a different profile. This may not be an issue for many countries, but it is a big problem for us. The problem also happens when you import people from a spreadsheet.

Another problem is that there is no way to either bulk merge or delete contacts. You need to do it one by one, and it takes a lot of time. We reached a point in which cleaning the database is so expensive that it is not worth it. So we chose the lesser of two evils and have a very faulty database with thousands of duplicate contacts. We like that you can keep all the information in one place for all your volunteers and it's very user friendly. Whether you are just keeping track of whom you have or you are using the information for more detailed reasons this works great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The one thing we have issues with is the fact that at times the information from people doesn't always get transferred over to our planning center check ins or services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use with a lot of flexibility and it is free. I created a whole database with custom tabs and the ability to search what was created for w couple different organizations. Planning Center People allows our ministry to connect with members, visitors, volunteers, and staff through seamless integration with an app. Additionally, we can sort the various stakeholders into specific groups according to our ministry organization, allowing for targeted communication and engagement. There is very little to dislike about Planning Center People, except for the fact that whenever it's down for maintenance (which is rare), much of our work comes to a halt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes the exports from lists can be a little overwhelming with information that I have to resort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the ability to search for a person and also the way you can add households together. It's fairly simple to learn. They also provide plenty of documentation to learn how to use it. It's very user-friendly. You don't have to go through several steps to get the information you want.

Aside from profile management, People also provides Forms where you can collect all sorts of information. Lists allow you to find a specific group of people. Workflows, which are great for moving people "down the pipeline" or passing individuals on to the next staff member who need to do something with their information, are also very efficient. Adding a new household seems "choppier" than it should be. It seems to take several different steps to update all of the information for each individual. I'm not fond of the fact that when you change an individual's contact info, that individual receives an email that their information has changed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
