When filtered or sorted in Workforce Planning clicking any sort of field and then returning will reset the filter/sort. Every process seems to have to be updated in several areas of Planful: for example you update your hierarchy and add a department to it, you press save and the hierarchy updates and publishes successfully. You would still have to go run another process to get the updated hierarchy to show in Workforce Planning. It's things like this, that can make Planful very frustrating. Too many features of the system seem to not communicate with eachother automatically. **What problems is Planful solving and how is that benefiting you?** Use Planful for Forecasting and Budgeting. Hoping to continue to leverage Planful further in terms of Dashboard creation. ### 2. It enables our budget owners to get the additional information that they need. **What do you dislike about Planful?** The overall knowledge of the help desk needs to be improved for the different Host Analytics quirks within the application. For example, when drill through is enabled within reports, it removes the ability to change periods within the report. The help desk had a hard time researching this issue. Eventually we found out that it was a known issue. We placed this issue on the community site. **What problems is Planful solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving the problem of a time consuming budgeting process. We were able to streamline our budgeting process. ### 8. Easy to learn, simple user interface. Easy to run numbers and export reports to Excel. Easy to schedule reporting jobs and create reporting packages to send out on a scheduled basis. **What do you dislike about Planful?** It is slow to load reports, and not aesthetically appealing. It has a Excel look and feel, which makes it easier to learn. **What problems is Planful solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reporting of financials. Easy to use and download reports. ### 21. We were doing everything in excel and needed to move away from that and into a system that would scale with our operations. This has been useful, but it still pretty meh from what I expected. **What do you dislike about Planful?** It's pretty unintuitive and there are a lot of things you have to do in order for things to work and financials to tie out. Think steps 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, before you can refresh the financial statements when all you did was adjust your allocations. We got them because they beat everybody else on price. **Recommendations to others considering Planful:** I think this product is a lot like the others; you'll have to compare those directly. Our tipping point with HOST was their price; we told them what prices the other guys were giving us and they continuously beat that price. **What problems is Planful solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're now trying to put forecasts and actuals into HOST and be less reliant on excel.
