planeus is an Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) solution for manufacturers with complex, resource-constrained production. It is particularly suited to make-to-order, high-mix, job-shop and project-based manufacturing where planners need to coordinate orders, machines, skilled employees, tools, materials and delivery dates in one reliable production plan. planeus combines capacity-based automated scheduling with visual Gantt planning, early conflict and delivery-risk detection, resource allocation, material requirements planning and what-if simulation. When priorities, capacities or availability change, planners can quickly understand the impact and adjust the plan without losing control of the overall production schedule. Shop-floor feedback can update planning with actual production progress, helping planning and execution stay aligned. planeus integrates with existing ERP, MES and other manufacturing systems through REST API, preconfigured connectors and file exchange, allowing manufacturers to improve production planning without replacing their existing IT landscape. Core capabilities include: Finite-capacity scheduling - Automatically schedule operations based on real resource availability and constraints. Resource planning - Plan machines, skilled employees, tools and other critical resources together. Delivery-date and conflict detection - Identify resource conflicts, bottlenecks and delivery risks before they affect production. Dynamic replanning - See the impact of changed priorities, delays, unavailable resources or new orders and adjust the production plan accordingly. What-if simulation - Test alternative planning scenarios without changing the active production plan. Shop-floor feedback - Feed actual production progress back into planning so the schedule reflects reality. ERP and system integration - Connect production planning with existing ERP, MES and other manufacturing systems. Machines and Capacity planeus supports finite-capacity production planning based on the actual availability of machines and other resources. Capacity calendars, existing workload, downtime, setup and changeover times, process times and other production constraints can be reflected directly in the schedule. When a machine becomes unavailable, planners can identify affected operations, remaining capacity, resulting bottlenecks and delivery risks. Alternative machines can be selected based on resource groups, characteristics, qualification requirements, priorities, quantity limits and other restrictions. Future capacity bottlenecks can be detected before they disrupt production by connecting resource utilization with the operations and delivery dates that depend on it. Employees and Skills Employee qualifications, shifts and availability can be included directly in production planning. Operations that require a specific qualification can be scheduled only when a suitably qualified employee is available. Machines and employees can also be planned as simultaneously required resources, for example when a machine and qualified operator are both needed for setup or start-up. Specialists such as setters can be assigned only for the process steps in which they are actually required instead of being blocked for the complete machine runtime. By combining qualifications, shifts, absences and capacity, planners can identify future skill bottlenecks and distinguish between having enough total labor capacity and having the right qualification available at the required time. Orders and Delivery Dates planeus can calculate realistic completion dates from the current production plan using available capacity and relevant production constraints. Calculated completion dates can be transferred back to the ERP system. Rush orders can be inserted into an already occupied production schedule while showing which operations move, where capacity becomes constrained and which existing orders or delivery dates may be affected. Shop-floor feedback on processing times, quantities, disruptions and progress can update the production plan and dependent operations. This allows delivery-date planning to follow the actual state of production. Future resource, sequencing and capacity conflicts can also be linked to the orders and delivery dates they may put at risk. Materials, Tools and Supporting Resources planeus can derive material requirements from the production schedule. Required quantities and dates are calculated from scheduled order items and the production steps in which material is needed. If material is assigned to a specific operation, its planned start determines the requirement date. Material requirements can also be viewed by production step or aggregated by period. Tools, molds, fixtures, measuring equipment and other supporting resources can be planned together with the main production resource. An operation can require a machine and one or more additional resources to be available at the same time. Scarce supporting resources can have their own capacity calendars and can be reserved exclusively during an operation. Where alternatives are defined, another suitable resource from the same resource group can be considered. Processes and Dependencies planeus can model production routings with dependencies between individual operations. Setup time, processing duration, resource requirements, overlap and buffer time can be reflected in the schedule while keeping dependent operations connected. Repeated production or inspection sequences can be represented as cycles. A defined sequence of operations can be repeated automatically together with the resources required for each repetition. Multi-level products and assemblies can be planned as connected structures so that components, subassemblies and final assembly remain linked rather than being treated as unrelated production orders. Operations can overlap or run in parallel. Successor operations can start before their predecessors are completely finished, parallel operations can follow a common timing relationship, and buffer times can define minimum intervals between dependent steps. Changes and Replanning planeus helps planners react to changing production conditions without rebuilding the entire schedule whenever something changes. Conflicts and delivery risks can be used to identify which parts of the plan actually require attention while unaffected operations remain unchanged. Rush orders and other priority changes can be introduced directly into the schedule. Their effects on resources, existing orders and delivery dates become visible before the active production plan is changed. Machine breakdowns, missing employees, shift changes, reduced capacity and other disruptions can be reflected in replanning. Affected operations can be moved to the remaining available capacity while dependencies and resulting conflicts remain visible. Alternative planning variants can be tested through simulation before they are applied to the active schedule. Near-term production can also be protected from unnecessary changes. Resource-specific frozen zones and fixed start dates can keep prepared or committed operations in place while the rest of the production plan is adjusted around them.
