  ### 1. The UI needs and update and a complete overhaul. It's dated and rather complicated

**What do you like best about Plane?**

Ebony from customer service. Adding more characters, 'cause apparently I have to.

**What do you dislike about Plane?**

The UI is dated and not user friendly. There should be a better system to give access to certain members and admins. It's all or nothing kind of system which no longer works in 2026. The access should be customizable for each role which should be set by an admin. The payroll section specifically. The team onboarding process for contractors also leaves room for improvement. It's being set as a task to manually enter from an admin side their hourly rate. They are contractors. It should not be mandatory to enter this. There should be ways to pre set certain settings for onboarding on the admin plane side. Generally there is room to improve the customizable aspect of the UI in general.

**What problems is Plane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far Ebony Haughton (in case y'all have multiple) was able to help and explain every issue we have encountered. It's benefitting us in ways that she helps resolving the issue. BTW, I don't need that $20 gift card. Please give that to Ebony as a thank you instead.

  ### 2. Easy for the employer, clunky for the employees

**What do you like best about Plane?**

Easy for the employer to hire from multiple countries with low effort and have the HR complexities outsourced and not have to worry about them. Automated expense and payroll handling.

**What do you dislike about Plane?**

Incredibly clunky and confusing onboarding for new employees. Random emails from Pilot, Bamboo, Atlas and other companies all with little or no context or explaination.

**What problems is Plane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

People able to hire the best talent from across the world without having to be worried about how they'll be hired, or being forced to take everyone on as a contractor.

Helps organize workplace/HR-related forms and processes.

**What do you dislike about Plane?**

Mundane tasks like submitting reimbursements were hard to navigate - the user flow wasn't optimized.

**What problems is Plane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It used to solve the problem of having multiple contractors based in different countries.

**What do you like best about Plane?**

I didn't know about such types of services, it's amazing! It allows being officially employed in Europe while you're working for a US company and you are not an EU citizen

**What do you dislike about Plane?**

Pilot didn't have much experience in Czech Republic, and the employer change process was started almost two months later than it should. It was a very slow and long process with pretty unresponsive CSM (thankfully, I was assigned to Lisa, and she is my blessing).
Additionally, it's not fully clear what local benefits applied in every case - e.g., a Multisport card in the Czech Republic is a widespread benefit but requires additional approval/negotiation to get it

**Recommendations to others considering Plane:**

If you are a foreigner in the country where Pilot is present - force them to provide you with a detailed plan of the entire process.
Don't accept offer before you get it.

**What problems is Plane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company doesn't have a legal entity in CR, but with Pilot I can be officially employed with all protection from local law (I hope. Not sure yet, Pilot doesn't seem experienced in it)

The payments work as expected and on time.

It is not user-friendly. It is difficult to find the log in page.

**What problems is Plane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pilot helps me receive payments from US without paying extra fees and fares for receiving money from abroad.
