The main function about Planacy is the possibility to create advanced calculations and dependencies. By using out HR system as data input and the get revenues, cogs, costs based on this has made working with forecasts fast and correct. As a fast-growing company there are a lot of uncertainties and need the simplify based on employees, which has worked perfectly with Planacy.
Also giving department managers access to add future employees by them self is a strong feature, which allows us to see and consolidate what each department is planning to recruit, and the effect of each decision.
I am personally a major fan of the Excel Add in, where I can get all the outputs of the data inputs, and calculations directly from Planacy into Excel to make easy charts and tables for ex board reports or ad hoc analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As good as it is on deriving data on parameters, it is also a bit complex which makes it difficult to make changes in the calculations without a consultant aiding. I got the opportunity to take part in a developer training and to see the settings of Planacy gave insight to both what a complex system it is but also the opportunities in it.
