For the most part, Plaid is partnered with most common banks throughout the United States, this makes it easy to use. If there is a bank that does not partner with Plaid, it is relatively time consuming to get that bank on board. It takes communication from both Plaid and the bank in question. Plaid is a great option for instant decision making in the virtual workplace. Plaid makes it easier for our online customer base to get a decision in real time and that saves time and money. The length of time that it takes to get a bank that is currently not linked to Plaid is relatively a long process. 4weeks - 6 months, depending on how small the bank is. There are some connectivity issues with the smaller banks. These are the only issues I have come across. The main issue is there is no test server to test improved software. I dislike a lot about this products but my number one issue is if someone forgets or needs to reset their login credientals we have to wait 24-72 hours to get that customer through our system again because of PLAID. PLAID's support system is very convoluted any issue that is on PLAID's end has to be fixed by the client from the back end code and it is a pain to troubleshoot if you have any issues. I interact predominantly with Plaid's support team in our current role. I appreciate their ability to follow up on long standing tickets and provide continuous updates, when available. Plaid recently started sending automatic message updates, which are also sent in the form of an email. Users with my current access can't disable these automated update emails or emails asking you for a rating. This makes it difficult to discern when Plaid has a valuable follow-up that we need to reach out to a user about, vs. when we have just a bunch of automatic replies that aren't of any value to our users or us. A subscriber of Plaid can attempt to create an illegal connection to someone else's financial institution using hacked or stolen credentials. According to Plaid, they have no ability to assist a financial institution or account holder at that institution in identifying which Plaid user attempted such an illegal transaction. the unlimited version is a bit expensive, since it presents very few versions of the program, without security security is primordiar when choosing this type of software since an error could be catastrophic in the case of small companies or when it is used particular way. the free version has a very limited number of articles and when it comes to monetizing a payroll it is impossible to use since nothing else with the accounts of the providers is already used all the space and the unlimited version is a bit expensive for a small company.
