I like the fact that this is such an easy and most importantly, light app, to edit pictures. I work as a designer and naturally have a lot of images to edit every single day. While I have more sophisticated tools, they are very heavy and actually prove to be detrimental when I just want a few edits on a simple image here or there. Pixlr is the best option for such times. It also has too many sales banners site-wide, which make the app seem a bit distasteful. When an app is advertised as easy to use, it should not have to use the crutches of ready-to-use-templates for its users. I love using Pixlr for many reasons, but the best is simply when I'm in a rush and just need to edit an image to a specific size for a Web projects, it's much quicker than loading Photoshop and going through all the prompts. One problem that Pixlr Express solves (though now Pixlr is quite different, and the interfaces have changed) is training my Web content managers in how to resize images. Initially, when I first started using Pixlr Express, I found it very easy to use. You can edit the photos using Pixlr Express without any prior knowledge of photo editing. The cloud-based version works well but tools are fewer compared to apps like photoshop and illustrator. However, you can do a lot of editing using the online version.
