I have obtained great benefits with Pixelmator because it has allowed me to work with different layers and has an important range of filters and effects. What do you dislike about Pixelmator? Although well-designed visually, it's not very user-friendly. Having grown up using Photoshop, but not having used Photoshop for over a decade, I've used Pixelmator since it was first released and I still can't get used to certain things. Cropping an image is difficult, switching brushes and brush sizes is harder than it should be, and all the various tools are strewn about the screen, with no real organization to speak of. I also wish I could use Pixelmator to quickly annotate images so that I didn't need a separate app for that. (Preview doesn't cut it.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
