Intuitive and lightweight, this program is my go to for graphic design. I've been using it for years. I appreciate the heavy weight of the bigger programs, but this one is good for what I do, which is simpler edits and graphic creation. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to start off with photo editing and graphic design without feeling overwhelmed by the more popular products. I find Pixelmater to be easy to use and figure out, and I appreciate that it doesn't take up a lot of resources on my machine. For the most part, I don't dislike anything about Pixelmater. As I said, I've been using it for years and would recommend it to anyone starting off with photo editing and graphic design. Since I am self-employed, my income fluctuates. I like knowing that I've paid for the product once and it's mine, rather than the possibility of it going away if I have to reevaluate my budget. It is simply a joy to use whenever I have a task that I can accomplish on it rather than Photoshop. When learning photo editing, you can't find an easier software to learn with. I can't remember specifically but it definitely lacks something with cutting out letter forms inside other shapes to expose the background while maintaining editable text or something along those lines. I can't quite remember what but it's something along those lines. The other issue with it is that it's not universally used so getting help with the program can be quite difficult.
