Ok so I've been using Pitchbox for about 7 years, which honestly feels insane to type out. It's grown from "tool to send outreach emails" into the actual system my whole agency runs on. Not exaggerating. We juggle a stupid number of projects at once and Pitchbox is the only reason I'm not losing my mind trying to keep track of who said what to who. And it's not just link building either, I've used it for affiliate outreach, influencer stuff, actual real relationship building with real humans at real companies. Which is gold in the age of ai-spam at scale. It also integrates well with tools like Ahrefs, so it's defo saves time on switching between software. I can't remember having any downtime with Pitchbox too, except a couple years ago when everything was down due to cloudflare. But I think they moved away from that now. That said, AI Campaign Maker and the AI Conversation Agent have saved me hours I used to spend doing this stuff manually. They clearly put a lot of effort in it to avoid any generic ai-cheese. Oh and Email insights has saved my deliverability more than once (RIP to the addresses that didn't make it, but you do need something that stays on top of this). Only real complaint: for a while they'd ship cool new features and just... not tell anyone. You'd discover them by accident months later and go "wait, since when??" They fixed that though, now you get an actual account manager who checks in and tells you what's new instead of you finding out via Reddit. I won't pretend the price tag is nothing, but the ROI math works out once you factor in how much time (and how many disasters) it saves you. Basically it's the rare tool that scales with you instead of you outgrowing it and having to switch to something else at the worst possible time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Pitchbox? The task assignment side gets a bit much once you've got a decent-sized team running a lot of projects at once, at that point we just lean on a separate project management tool too. If you're an in-house team with less than 10 separate websites you probably won't even hit this wall. Also, their performance reports on teams took me a bit to actually understand. Not the link numbers, those are clear, more the "how much work has actually been done" side. I've misread a few metrics thinking they meant one thing when they meant something else entirely. Managing link building projects and monitoring their progress, as well as the output from my team members. And building up a CRM of websites, and companies we can work with again. For paid and unpaid links, but also for collabs that go further than that. Before pitchbox i kept losing track of who i'd emailed and what stage they were at, spreadsheets and vibes And now we even have ai handling some of the outreach and conversations (with my team monitoring for quality) which saves my team's energy and headspace, they can focus on the ones that actually need a more complex conversation. so: more projects running at once, way less me panicking about what happened where. I really appreciate the simplicity of setting up Pitchbox. The platform is quite intuitive, and I love its built-in MXright tester, which makes managing email configurations easier despite the complexities with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records. The AI templates, CRM, and Dashboard are standout features for me, offering a great deal of utility and efficiency in my workflow. I'm particularly impressed by Pitchbox for its email and prospecting capabilities, finding the data quality exceptional. Using it for reaching out to niche and geographically relevant link placements has been a huge benefit, particularly as these placements help keep my clients visible and boost their organic traffic. The prospect AI extension and the list-building ability enhance my experience significantly, supporting efficient partner outreach and coordination of PR campaigns. I find the added cost of buying the Google Suite emails and the complexity of setting up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records as a challenging part of the initial setup with Pitchbox. Additionally, I'd like to see more functionalities in prospecting for deals and clients, rather than just focusing on backlinks. Incorporating a sales platform, like integrating prospectAI into the main dashboard, would enhance the utility for me by allowing seamless transitions from prospecting to executing on deals. The response rate shown for each campaign includes OOO messages, which makes the metrics less usable. Things are better to some extent after they introduced the Automation Workflow.
