That's what drew us to it in the first place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Pipedrive? Support. Absolutely the worst part about Pipedrive. Our account executive, Zachary Phillips, offered us a discount during our trial. We accepted it, he said to add our billing details to the account, we did, and then he stopped responding. 5 days and two follow-up emails later, still no reply and no autoresponder saying he was out. And there is no way to reach anyone else in sales because they have no sales email and support was not able to provide me a way to contact sales. I finally got a response from the sales team lead, Spencer Smith, who just made excuses and said that Zachary has been out for a while. No acknowledgement of the fact that I had been ghosted or that they provide no other way to reach the sales team when someone is out for an extended period of time. During that time, I also reached out to support and had a chat with Ricardo that was probably the worst customer support I've ever received. He kept insisting that I should do things that weren't possible in their software. I told him it was not an option in their software, but he insisted. I sent him a Loom screen recording showing him, and then he made up a new answer, which was also incorrect. It seems that rather than get help or admit he didn't know, he prefers to make up answers and insist they are correct. His manager, Carolyn, ended up following up the conversation by telling me that what I had said was not possible, was indeed not possible, though she said it like she was informing me. I didn't need to be told, it was their own support team who doesn't seem to know how their software works. I also had reported a bug to support at the start of the week, spent almost an hour answering their questions and providing a Loom screen recording at their request, just to have them tell me it was a known issue. This is why most software companies use a bug tracker, so that they can know about bugs without wasting the customers time. Overall, I found their team to be very poorly trained, not at all knowledgeable about their own software and extremely disorganized. It was bad enough that I'm writing a negative review for the first time to warn other people not to use Pipedrive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Which is a bit ironic since they seem to, by their own admission, have trouble keeping track of their sales leads. Support wasn’t resetting our subscription as they said they would, as we had discussed over and over again. And they lied about saying they would not shut down our account until they had sorted it out on their end; instead they shut us down – so we have been without a CRM for over 24 hours?!! Pipedrive is a bare-bones CRM that is trying (and failing) to be more fully featured. Every "feature" within Pipedrive beyond the basic Deal-Pipeline flow is about 50% put together and functions like a proof-of-concept copy of someone else's tool. For example, the e-signing solution built into the app is totally useless. The entire thing is driven through either M365 or GSuite, and all merge fields are submitted through those tools online editors. As a result, there's no version control, you can never find the signed document after completion, and the agreements you do send for signing look like trash. When I asked our account rep how I could deal with the fact that the email sync perpetually showed 999+ unread messages, he just told me that most people ignore those alerts. I constantly received ads for Pipedrive from within Pipedrive. Notification ads for additional integrations, banner ads for webinars. Even the email sync feature kept bugging me to upgrade because we were "running out" of email syncs (you're allowed two per user and I was using one of my two). The customer service people are nice, but in order to get to them you need to go through the gauntlet of their AI support bot that is not only useless, but an active impediment to you getting any actual assistance. All of their support is driven through chat, but since they're a little understaffed they usually will get back to you a few hours from your original message, so it ends up being email-driven support but where everything is formatted like a chat, making the entire process pretty awful. I used Pipedrive for 2 years and over that time it was the most problematic tool in my software stack. The features the advertise are good in theory, but often don't work as advertised. I had many issues with email deliverability using their platform among other things. The most recent issue was related to their document uploading and e-signing feature. Any document I try to upload had formatting errors. The feature can't be used. I brought this up with their team and they identified it as a bug. That was 2 months ago and there is still no solution, yet they're still happy to advertise the broken feature on their website and take your money for it. As far as I'm concerned,that's stealing. I found their service team to be limited in how helpful they are. They use an overseas team to handle customer service inquiries that is disconnected from management, so when anything out of the ordinary goes wrong, it's difficult to find a solution and can end up in days if not weeks or sorting out an issue, costing me hundred if not thousands of dollars. I had hope for Pipedrive based on features, but the bugs and lack of service led to downtime that cost me real money. The platform is basic, there are a lot of missing features, most integrations are not native and require Zapier or Make. Add-on features like email campaigns feel like an afterthought rather than a holistic platform feature. The system is slow; updating a contact takes a number of seconds where the page freezes before becoming active again. There are a lot of assumptions about the way people should use Pipedrive and it won't suit everyone. There's a huge lack of customisation, from the formatting of unsubscribe message on emails and the fact that the first name field cannot be blank (it defaults to the user's email address). I think worst of all, customer support does not listen. If you report an obvious bug it's a "you" problem, not a platform problem. There are many strange choices that the product team has made in the development of Pipedrive. It's no wonder when they are so closed to receiving polite feedback.
