PINpoint offers a slew out-of-the-box features that enable process engineers to build, configure, and maintain robust process controls and quality management tools, often without reliance on controls engineers or IT support. Its features for electric assembly tools and standard PLC integration methods cover the vast majority of integration needs for many discrete assembly operations. The built-in reports are meaningful and provide outstanding genealogy data for use in process improvement activities and process troubleshooting, while the exposed data cubes and data warehouse features allow integration with custom report building tools. The control of product builds, the flexibility to program multiple build recipes and having the knowledge now to do more of the integration and programming myself it is a cost effective platform that works well for our assembly plant. Actually if the smart build application could copy a large group of process steps from line to line would be great.
