It's great to have a "one ring to rule them all" approach to product data, once the data is happily residing in the PIM you can easily (and automatically) update it with feeds and send it out with API channels and outputting files to SFTP locations. We have also introduced a new product system utilising their Big Commerce feeds to populate an internal proofing website where Product Managers can see the product they are proofing holistically without needing to bounce around disparate fields. Initially the PIM takes the product through the creation and proofing stages and once completed it removes the need for manual intervention when updating and distributing accurate product data. It is also a central repository that everyone can access so if there is a product update it is fixed once and this disseminates throughout the business including catalogue generation, web sites, ERP and customer data feeds. I use pim daily and find the lifecycle element on PIM helpful and easy to find out what information is missing for a product to move on, improves communication within teams for unique channel enrichment. I also like the recent activity section, as when mistakes are made its easy to see who made them. The customer service team is excellent, tickets are seen to and sorted quickly and effectively. Although I have just said I like the recent activity section within pim, recently its become harder to see what has been edited as it shows the ID rather than the name. One thing we use a lot is the tables within pim for size guides, however I find them really un-user friendly, as once you make a mistake, its difficult to edit. Pimberly indigo has made our product set up process quicker, by using the lifecycles and highlighting to users essential information that needs to be filled out to get a product live gets our product onsite quicker. Once we implement the PLM, this will also speed up the process and gives us more time to focus on enriching the data. PIM is clear and easy to navigate, which makes onboarding and daily use straightforward for the whole team. Making changes is simple, and the structure of the PDTs is logical and easy to understand, even for those new to PIM systems. Enrichment functionality, particularly the ability to involve suppliers in the data completion process. The gateway feature is also incredibly helpful – it clearly shows which products are missing required information and prevents them from moving forward until everything is in place. Creating parent codes manually can be quite time-consuming – a more automated approach would be appreciated, especially when dealing with large product ranges. Additionally, from a visual point of view, we’d love to be able to view seasonal collections in a more visual format, such as a list with product images for quick referencing, instead of having to click into each product. I like the filtering options in Pimberly SaaS PIM & DAM, especially being able to search by name and category. These features allow me to create to-do tickets for the content team and structure work effectively. It's a big improvement over HCL, which was frustrating to use. When I have a product with about 10 images, I cannot re-order the images without another image moving, so the only way to do this is to zoom out on my screen so the images all sit on one line. This is frustrating because I have to do it on nearly every guitar product we sell. I would like to be able to categorize products on a category without having to tick a category which is the lowest sub-category. This results in me having to do an export, type in the category I want, then doing an import for one product. What stands out to me is the customizability, like the ability to set custom listing image orders, which is really useful for ecom departments. The reason we switched to Pimberly SaaS PIM & DAM was mainly because of how customizable it is, and the initial setup was easy as long as you know what you want. As our business model evolved to deal with the growing importance of online marketplaces, we realised we needed to find an alternative to our traditional way of working, as multiple spreadsheets were getting cumbersome and leading to incorrect information being passed across to our partners. We shortlisted a number of PIM solutions, but found that Pimberly best suited our company's needs, both from a technical and financial perspective. Ease of implementation and use were key factors in reaching our decision. Since fully integrating with our own website and multiple marketplaces we have seen significant efficiences for our team, and all our marketplaces hold the correct information on every product. This includes product photos, links to spec sheets and other product documentation. We also store discrete product attribute data in Pimberly. This allows us to quickly change or add attribute data to a large number of products quickly and push out to our eCatalog immediately. The multi search function is a great way of finding multple specifc SKUs (if you a have list) without having to using multple filters and duplicate the work. It is also really quick to upload data.
