# What are infographics? Infographics are visual representations of information. Colourful and pictorial, they tell stories in a compact snapshot, conveying information clearly and quickly. They improve a reader's understanding by using graphics to reveal patterns and trends. Piktochart's infographic templates are intended to be a guide to help users customize and create their own long form infographics. These longform infographics contain data from various sources - complex and simple. They are versatile and can be embedded on a blog/website, on social media or emailed as an attachment. ##### Post Metadata

If you know the name of the theme you are looking for, you can use the search bar. You can also filter through themes of similar topics to look for more template options that relate with what you were looking for! Step 2: Preview or Create You can first “preview” the template to make sure of your choice, and if so, click “create” to load the selected template.
