We've found this very helpful in cross-platform promotions and creating unique looks and feels for other heritage months and various diversity campaigns. The options are almost endless using PicMonkey - it seems like there is an option for virtually any way you'd want to edit a photo. I also think the Collages feature is quite handy since collages can be challenging to create without a photo-editing program. The Effects option is nice since there are so many features - almost anything you'd want to do to a photo is listed as an option. The feature I like the best about PicMonkey is the Touch Ups. This is an option other photo-editing programs don't have, and if they do, they are much less user-friendly. If you're looking for a way to quickly and efficiently touch up blemishes, teeth, skin tone, and more, the options to edit these are all laid out for you, which is great. My second favorite option is the Graphics feature. You can add icons/images to your photo with ease! I think this could be especially useful if using PicMonkey to design an ad because you could easily choose an icon to go on your ad that matches the look without having to search for specific icons or photos to incorporate. What is most helpful about PicMonkey is that there are so many components to their website. You can edit photos by their color value, overlay, touch ups, text, collages, cropping, special effects, textures, etc. You can use it to edit professionally, to an extent, and for leisurely tweaking photos. **What do you dislike about PicMonkey?** I don't think the website itself is set up in a very user-friendly way. The options are aligned on the left, but the layout seems a little off to me, though admittedly, I'm more used to non-browser photo editing software like Photoshop, so this setup is not natural to me. I think this is maybe my biggest beef with the website - the layout almost seems counterintuitive to what professionals are looking for or what professionals are likely used to. Further, I personally think the Textures feature is not super necessary and seems slightly amateur for photo editing purposes. If one wanted to use this program for fun and less professionally, the plethora of Textures and Effects features could be fun to skim through. However, I can't imagine many of these features would be used in a professionally-editing setting. Lastly, I think the brush options could be refined more, giving more options than the standard ones provided. This would allow for more precise photo editing and would likely be more useful/used than the elaborate Textures feature. I think some of the Premium features are a little unnecessary (i.e. glitter brush) since I feel it's unlikely many people would be using those features. However, fortunately many of the standard and basic editing options are available in the more basic packages instead of premium. **Recommendations to others considering PicMonkey:** I think it's a great tool that can be more cost-effective than other photo-editing programs. The myriad of features is a little overkill in my opinion, since professionals likely would not be using those to edit photos professionally. As for editing photos for leisure, this can be a fantastic tool if one wanted to dive into the site and see what fun features are available to them. My recommendation would be to search through other well-established photo-editing programs before committing to PicMonkey, unless PicMonkey is more cost-effective than competitors. Alternatively, if you're looking for a program to do a lot of the editing for you so you can just select an already-existing filter to apply to a photo, this could be a great option also. Laslty, if you are looking for a program to edit photos for fun and not necessarily professionally, this could be suitable also. I like how many features there are in PicMonkey, specifically the color-altering options. The options are almost endless using PicMonkey - it seems like there is an option for virtually any way you'd want to edit a photo. I also think the Collages feature is quite handy since collages can be challenging to create without a photo-editing program. **What problems is PicMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?** Editing photos is part of our daily protocol, so being able to adjust pictures constantly is necessary. Having a myriad of features available helps the team decide which edits would be best for the company photos or the client photos. Especially since more "fun" photos are allowed, we are able to use PicMonkey to easily find ways to adjust photos to make them unique and fresh for our content. One benefit is that there are more Effects options than other photo-editing programs, so the heavy lifting has been done for us. The Effects have already been established, and we can just pick and choose which ones work and which ones don't. In other programs, you almost have to be a professional to figure out how to edit photos regarding their levels, curves, vibrance, etc. In PicMonkey, these options are already easily labeled and ready to be used and adjusted. We are able to quickly edit photos for print and digital pieces, both photos that involve people and ones that don't (i.e. of landscape).
