I recognize that PicMonkey needs to make money but bringing out only a 7 day free trial for the free tier made me lose interest. I would have gladly taken a freemium subscription with ads. PicMonkey is convenient and easy to use. I'd say if you're starting out with basic photo editing this is a decent option for you. There are some better programs out there with better functionality that does what PicMonkey does, but better. I do think having a minimum subscription price that users have to pay on a monthly basis makes this a less desirable program to use. The ease of use with PicMonkey is great for those who are less tech-savvy. Options are easy to find and processes are simple to learn. For my uses - and the reason I don't currently use PicMonkey - is that it is too limiting for my needs. My job just got too big for PicMonkey to keep up. PicMonkey has added a lot of features in the past year or two that make it much more powerful than it was when I moved away from it. There's a good chance it will be good for you.
